So for all my PL BUDS... what league or whatever should I go for? Preferably southwest region.

I'm weighing in at 200 right now. Need to lose 10 more lbs in a couple months time. Drop to 181 class for competition. I already feel lighter than a month ago. This working two yobs thing has me shredding because its hard to fit in all my meals properly but I still feel like a beast. Also I've tapered down to ~350 mg's of test E over the last couple weeks. Next week I do 200. No bitch tits to speak of but never really had that problem anyways. Hcg is on the way to bust ma balls back into shape, surprisingly very little shrinkage. Have the rest of my gear already lined up for pct. I am SOOOO going to miss thinking about ass non-fcking-stop 24/7! I have a real problem but hopefully it diminishes some; beginning to interfere with life HAHA

There's just not a very big group out here that I know of besides some really big fckers. It's kinda funny, there's this New Mexico Powerlifting Seminar going on over here soon but its laughable at best. There are 4 presenters. One is just stoopid hooge, like 6'2" 400lbs fat that only does deads, and 715 at that, which is ok but not that impressive given his size. Another that benches shirted like 550-600 but his ass never stays down and his ROM is literally ~6 inches, not really a bench and not really impressive plus he's at least 300 and his legs are twigs compared to his fcking gut and upper. Then there's this strong fcker late 30's but he's only still learning too and pushing 280 or so. Lastly, there's some meet judge that just got into PL a couple years ago, late 30s, pushing 280 and lifts less than I do and with terrible form. I mean seriously wtf am. going to learn from this crew, how to eat till I'm close to 300 lbs and only lift 2x BW?!!! They're charging like $50 a seat. It's a fcking joke

Anyway I'm kinda lost but I got you guys and my buddy in Tecas who's been competing for a few at like 148. At least he does trip BW. Geeze...

I read this article by Dave Tate once saying that for your first raw meet, basically don't do ****. Just show the f up with some good food in you the day before & day of, don't have zero sleep, & bring your big boy pants. Pick numbers you know you can hit for at least the first & second attempt with good form, & it's up to you to go for the moon on the third. But remember, if you bomb out you won't even get your name on the books, so the first lift should ALWAYS be one you can manage with a 5 yr old standing beside you pissing into your shoes & throwing a tantrum. All day, any time type of number.

Yes I agree . Haven't had a training partner in a min so I usually have to ask someone when I go close to 1rm. N I always have to give them specific instructions on how I want to be spotted lol .. Cuz u dnt wanna miss a lift because they think they have to pull it up for u when ur at a sticky point . But 250 is massive. Is it a PL meet or BBing?

sheesh can u imagine being 300lbs of muscle. the amount of dedication just to gain or even maintain that kinda weight is ridiculous.
 
Don't even worry about a weight class, and for fcks sake don't try to lose 20 lbs for your first meet. Just walk in and lift in whatever class you weigh in on that day. That's what I did.

The first one is just for experience, don't worry about weight, just go 9 for 9...

Oh c'mon I gotta go for gold! Haha. JK. Yeah I know but I'm not a stranger to making weight. Been doin it since high school and into the Marines. I have routinely come in at ~195 on a Thursday morning and end up 181 on a Friday without having to really starve myself during the day. Sometimes a laxative if I'm stopped up, and a hot bath with rubbing alcohol and Epsom salt. Weigh in then refeed...

I want to enjoy the experience as you guys say but I also want a solid finish and I always perform really well on game day. Love that fckn adrenalin rush right before someone says GO!
 
I say focus on the biggest numbers possible for your 3rd lifts and leave weight up to get the best total you can.
 
IMO, it's not worth the drop in performance - and there will be some, not to mention leverages changing - and they will, to drop 20 lbs for your first meet. To many variables that can go wrong. Another thing to think about: have you tried any 1rm's after dropping ~20 lbs in a short period of time?

My biggest worry will be sharding during my heaviest squat attempt. Sometimes when I get that adrenalin before a race or competition errything wants out. Haha

IMO, you should be worrying about your last DL, that's where you'll feel the effects bro, meets are a long, long fcking day. Sometimes 9-10 hours. Hell, at nats they didn't dl until 10:30 at night...
 
And the result was?

Oh. Haha. Actually quite well. Only ~5% diff or less all three times. 15 lbs give or take. But my upper is my strong point. My legs and pull are lagging in comparison but they're catching up
