muscle marinade= very dissapointed

This is a hilarious way of putting it but you are right. I tried 5 or 6 different preworkouts before I used a sample of MM, and I was so amped from 1 serving that I almost threw up. I'll never forget that day in the gym.

Heavy stims are WHY people buy preworkouts. It's no secret that when you are amped up on stims, you go on beast mode. The military gave amphetamines to their soldiers back in the day....we are soldiers of the gym, we need our stims...just an analogy.

MM is great. I think the OP might have had a bad experience, but I hope that doesn't deter anyone who likes pwos with stims from trying it.

Craze is part of the military repertoire? Cool haha
 
Not trying to turn anyone away from it. Just giving my experience with it. Maybe orange wasn't the best flavor either. Anyways ,nice discussion fellas

I enjoyed C4 a lot because of the Creatine Nitrate, but Anabolic Ignite has a bit more Creatine Nitrate and other good pre-workout ingredients. Craze is amazing for the focus, maybe not the rush, if your looking for more of that rush type feeling just take any basic stim pre-workout like Jack3d or Flashover with some Anabolic Ignite, it don't get better then that for pre-workout.

I have never tried Ignite , but damn...2 to 2.5 scoops of craze? Damn I'm pretty stim tolerant and I only use 2 scoops when I just cant get outta bed for Squat day hahaha , you poked my interest...lets hope this 4th of july helps me get some good prices on this ;)!
 
Hemavol was a let down for me & the old Intense didn't do it for me either.
Like the Protean though.

I didn't get on with Hemavol at all. The profile looks solid but I just don't notice anything significant from it in comparison to a lot of other pre workouts.

Maximize V2 was strong though. I preferred using that without a shadow of a doubt.

4 scoops of Anabolic Ignite from MuscleFeast + 1 scoop of Craze is where it's at:)

I still haven't tried Anabolic Ignite. We don't get it over here as far as I am aware.

I don't really understand it. I have been through a tub of it and various samples. I tried drinking more water as was advised. I was expecting painful pumps and didn't get them. A client of mine was the same.

The pump I got from MV2 felt almost as strong so it made more sense I used that on a value for money basis.

I've had good pumps on 1MR & the OG Assualt a year ago that's it & when I can get the timing right on yok3d as well.
 
Nitrates are my favourite pump ingredients. Not sure on creatine vs arginine yet or if it has made any difference.

I am waiting for mine to arrive in the post so tried a double dose of DPol earlier- the dosage still didn't work out to be enough to use it pre workout lol.

Honest to god Y3D is such a hit and miss for me! I had 5 bottles as a gift from my cousin (he is the one who first taught me some lifts) and I had such a hard time getting the pumps...but when I timed it right , Y3D+J3D loads of water and carbs DAMN...then again I get sicker pumps atm with SNS Citrulline Malate+ SS Agmatine + Carbs/water :p!

I gotta say the MV2 does get me going and I like it a lot...as for assault meh...no comment there...

schroedes I agree, orange tasted horrible. not as bad as some other orange pwos, but pretty damn bad.

But seriously MM>Monster Pump > Assault.

OP's reaction to MM could be taking in too much stims at once. If you still have more samples, try taking 1/2 or 3/4 of the packet and see how you react...

I've considered MM the best preWO bar none for years now*, and I've tried almost all the garbage pushed on the internet (seriously, the only one I haven't yet is Craze). With that said, I will say that the orange flavored MM, quite frankly, tastes like hot birdshìt on cement. Try the Mixed fruit or whatever it's called, it's amazing. Cherry Limeade was pretty good when it came out, too, but the mixed fruit truly masks the EAAs.

*in terms of dollar per serving.

I just got a hold of some MM. As for taste, not so great, but I am not sippin on supps like I would for a nice brew. Down them and get to the f**king gym. As for jitters and energy, well unfortunately after years of adderall for studying in college I have a rather high tolerance to stims so my purpose for prewo supps is the formual to help build muscle. So far I enjoy MM. The formula is amazing, lots a creatine, electrolytes, bcaa..etc...I would say basically everything you'd want to have circulating in your system during a work out. I am going to have to give it a thumbs up.

I would be curious how GlycoMyx treats you in the pump department. I haven't torn into my tub yet (so much other stuff to get through first), but feedback is pretty promising in regards to the pump.
 
How come no1 is feeling assault? The v1 was legit, heard 2 sucked, not sure on v3....
 
Didn't the old Assault have Suma Root? They changed it out in the new formulation, and I seem to remember Rosie saying that was the part of their formulation she liked the most.

I guess for PWOs people are either looking for a physique-enhancing blend (pump), motivation/focus (stims), or a middle ground of the two.

MM has been on my radar but I've never pulled the trigger because of a high creatine content (I bloat easy) and high stim level. Maybe if I did a half scoop it would work, but I have a couple PWOs in my arsenal that I enjoy, and failing them, enough bulk powders of the PWO ingredients to get me through.

There are actually quite a few people on here that enjoy assault. I for one like it. Its just like anything else - one person didn't like it and their following says the same : )

That's ridiculous! Power of marketing has nothing to do with the pumps it gave me or the effects I had during workout. Different things work for different people plain and simple.
 
Only knock on muscle marinade's ingredient profile is the 1g of Vitamin C! 500mg is the average saturation level, and Dr. Dana Houser pleads that people discontinue supps with greater than 500mg doses per serving.

The vaunted Mr. Cooper is always busting people for using Vitamin C too close to training!

Also, what's up with the Cyanocobalamin B12.....

Otherwise I love the profile and its just that vitamin C that has kept me from pulling the trigger.

Edit: If you like Muscle Marinade that's fine, but I don't get the Assault hate bandwagon up in here.

If you have problems with Creapure, CitMal, Carnosyn Beta Alanine, Methylcobalamin in fully disclosed amounts then I don't know what to tell you. Taurine, Dimethylglycine (like the TMG you find in MM with one less methyl group to donate), Rhodiola, Tyrosine and MCTs are ingredients that a lot of people seem to like. Maybe Astragin and Cinnulin are on par with Bioperine for the intended ingredients here, I dunno I haven't read studies. They could add more clinically backed ingredients, but it doesn't include anything that i know of like Vit C which you should apparently avoid periworkout.

FYI, I wish prop blends went the way of the dinosaur too, but Assault is a big scoop of mostly studied ingredients just like MM. IMO that is almost always better than a concentrated formula of DMAA or other stims.
 
I have to be the dark horse here and say Assault is good stuff. I cant handle MM or other super stims... Assault has a good igredient profile and the right amount of stims for ME... and for some others who dont want to feel overstimmed. It's also very inexpensive so whomever said it was costly doesnt know where to shop.

As for the proprietary, yes, that's a bummer but speak to the right rep and they can give you the breakdown - which is actually a good ratio (effective )of each ingredient.

You're not the dark horse others are out there. They're just afraid of saying something that isn't a popular belief on AM. Its easier to agree with everyone than to have your own opinion and have internet buds dislike you for it lol.

However, THIS is a MM thread and I haven't really seen much negative on it, so I'll have to try it! That's the only way to know if something works or doesn't after all : )
 
I did enjoy Assault. Profile was pretty decent. I did have a small dip in performance which at the time might as well been partially attributed to not having the level of stims MM did. This is the Suma Root version. I tried the new version, and it was just like drinking dust. MM has betaine, while any version of Assault does not, which I assume is another big contributor, and citrulline malate doesnt do anything for me.
 
Have you ever tried Alpha Rage by Muscle Gauge Nutrition? It's an advanced formula pre-workout that I've had great results with it.
 
1 sample is not a accurate way of determining a product , maybe taste wise but effectiveness not so sure. Ingredients in MM help in different areas it's not really just a straight stim product.

This guy cracked me up there haha...Sorry for knowing nutrition profiling and supplement interactions, forgive me for being HIGHLY stim tolerant and being able to make the educated assumption it is a good product, that even though it lacks much content of many pre workout formulas, this can be added to perfect it, and yet the ingredients it poses are proven solid ingredients anyhow :) Hahaha oh god...

Nutrition is king, we can agree on that. But I get the impression that you seriously believe 90% of the ingredients in some of these products make a measurable difference.

Our new Preworkout ConDense contains nitrates. It's obvious haha

There is no orange flavor........

The older Purus Punch kinda was more orangey though.

Fresh Fruit kicks all the other flavors asses.
