Does your girlfriend train with you or elsewhere?

For those of you who have a significant other, do you like her to train with you? Or do you like her going to a different place than you? Would you rather be the one that she learns from? Or are you cool with her learning from someone else?

A lot of us on here pretty much know it all. Weights, cardio, diet, etc. Would you take offense to her wanting to take a class held by another guy when you feel like you could do it for her?
Even if you aren't with someone, what's your opinion?

I've been single for quite a while, but anytime I've had a girlfriend who works out, we've been at the same gym. We've gone at the same times on some occasions, but we never specifically worked out together. I don't like to workout with anyone, period. I would be happy to make a second trip, specifically to train her, but I wouldn't do that during the time I was getting my workout in (because I want to be completely focused).

I'm always happy to teach and enjoy sharing knowledge, but I wouldn't feel offended if she learned from someone else. Now if she was paying someone when I could be the resource, I'd be a bit taken back (unless it was a professional and she was at a point in her training that it called for it).

Agreed with Midwest, except I'm not single but thinking about going that route soon if she doesn't start getting her ass in a gym.

Agreed with everything this man said except I like having a workout partner just not female ones. I have tried it in the past and it didnt work.

The last time I worked out in the free weight room with my wife, she had my clothes off in the car before we could even drive home. So, yeah, I love working out w/my significant other. :)

And I could care less if she took a class with another male instructor.....so long as she didn't drag him out to the car.

Yep...I don't like having to think about someone else while I'm working out. I can't hear people with my ear buds in and if I keep them in in between sets I feel like I'm ignoring them, and it makes me feel uncomfortable. But that's just for lifting...if it's cardio or something then I'd like to have someone to talk to. :)
