Making my own PWO...

Kytle

New member
Hey guys. I want to get a little creative and maybe save a little cash by making my own homemade pwo mix. Now while I do have some ideas for ingredients, I want to know what you guys think should definitely be added to my concoction. All ideas welcomed. My goal is for solid pump, clean, long-lasting energy, and, of course, a nice boost in strength. Let's see what we can think up...

Caffeine - 200mg
Agmatine - 750mg OR Creatine Nitrate- 1g OR Citrulline Malate - 7g
ALCAR - 1g
1,3 Dimethylamylamine if you respond well to it - 25mg

^That is a simple but effective energy, focus, and pump blend. If you want to get fancy, you can add any of the following:

LCLT
Tyrosine or NAT
PLCAR
Glucuronolactone
L-DOPA
mb12
CDP-Choline
Trimethylglycine

the only piece missing from mr cooper's list is beta alanine. i'd likely go with

caffeine 200mg
creatine nitrate 1g
1,3 dimeth 25mg
lclt 3g
glucuronolactone 1.5g
trimethylglycine 1g
beta alanine 3g

Only reason I left it off is because it is more of a longterm supplement. Driven Sports even argues that it hinders performance if taken preworkout (I have experienced no such thing).

For your list, I'd lower LCLT by 1 gram and bump up TMG by 1-2g. Then I'd buy it :D

i've heard some people getting stomach issues with more than a gram of TMG which is why i went low. I'm ok at 3g as well :)

doing good, spent most of the last 2 months traveling for work so my time was limited. thats done for now tho :)

Great responses, guys. Sorry I took so long to get in here, but I've been working way too much. Regardless, I love the suggestions. I actually had a list that was very similar, but I couldn't figure out doses so you guys really helped me out haha

8 once water
1 scoop Craze

Works great! is it really worth trying to mix powders and having to deal with the taste?

I'm honestly just looking to experiment and see what I can come up with. I don't mind when things taste terrible so it's not too big of a deal

5g creatine monohydrate
5g Beta alanine
2.5 Betaine
1.5 GPLC
2g citrulline
5g BCAAs

simple, basic & effective

I think that's total crap. I remember the first time I took BA it helped me immensely - beyond the best supplement I take on par with creatine. Maybe it's because almost every preWO underdoses it? lol

Boom! Slam dunk. I would only probably sub LCLT over GPLC because of its price effectiveness, to be honest, but I really like this mix. I might even throw in a B6/12 supplement though, and maybe a 500mg-1g vitamin C tab, but what you got is nice.

I would not replace GPLC with LCLT as they serve two different purposes (theres a neural aspect to GPLC) If you want to replace the GPLC then I would go with PLCAR or even ALCAR. If you want to add the LCLT into it as well then go for it.

The vitamin B would also be a good addition.. Reps!

I don't agree with it either. I know that dendrobine antagonizes beta-alanine, so the logic may just be to not take beta-alanine with craze as it is a waste.

They linked a study, I'll find it.

It will either be negative or positive, some will find it helps reduce anxiety to some degree and enjoy it before training, others result negatively from it prior to training. This is due to its potential as a neurotransmitter I believe
