Man the Blueprint 3.0 sounds crazy. That diet may work but no fuggin way!!!! Lean Gains works and it keeps me HAPPY while it is working that is the most important for me. Keep killing it and hopefully the Blueprint does something AMAZING enough for you that you feel it is worth not having the protein. If not then the results aren't worth the effort.
Alternate day fasting would give you the same effect you are looking for without not having protein for 5 days. I am curious to see what this does and I am sure it will work but the question is once again are the results far enough above and beyond the status quo of any good diet to justify the means? I do lean gains because it is easy happy and rewording on a physical, emotional and palatable scale. Be happy not torturous in your journey. The arrival at the destination should not be the only fun you are having.

Protein fast for 5 days, then back to normal. Not THAT bad if you think about it. I had a really hard time getting into IF. Then I read on protein sparing effects of not digesting protein on the IF site I think it was. So I figured meh... whatever, 5 days haha. Haha. Sat pretty much one cheat meal. Just stuffed all my macros into two meals. Not really a cheat. Just not spread out.

Hey Matt, random question, how's that whole radiation situation going over there? I was listening to news radio the other night and they were talking about some areas are more contaminated then the public was lead to believe. What's the word on the street over there? Still a concern or bygones?
I am sure you are going to feel much better next week after the protein intake, I know I feel much better the days after my workouts as my cals were much higher those days. Also, my carbs are up those days so I am more energetic even on the lower cal days. Are you going to continue to cycle this diet this way?
yea 5 days doesn't sound to bad... and the theory behind it is that it will help increase protein synthesis after fast?
Thanks for explaining man!The whole theory is that the body will be in a VERY stressed state. With only fruits and veggies, very little nuts, and heavy quick 20-30min concentric failure type workouts we tell the body we are basically dying. Then we increase food intake by 3 or so, then the body which is catabolic because of food intake but anabolic because of exercise stimulus and muscle breakdown, will ride the anabolic curve because of food but because we got the anabolic response of food and the muscle protein sparing from the stress of exercise we can ride both the anabolic effect of food and the anabolic effect of needing to overcompensate from the lack of food.
With that said, why not just always over eat and train? Well Im sure everyone knows... the body gets used to it. If we could all do that we'd all look like the Hulk. So this is a way to take advantage of the over compensation curve in a "different" way.
In the book it's not explained this way, this is my observation. It works though. I know it does because while I was protein fasting. I figured I would be going through MEAN blood glucose swings with just eating fruits... something I stayed away from in the past. But I experienced NONE of this. I only had the whole psychological withdraws of not having my steak and chicken breasts every day. AND I got SUPER LEAN. I have never been leaner than I was on Friday. I would've taken pics but if I did I might not be able to get there again lol.
So I think my body's normal amino acid pool was okay with the 5 days w/o aminos because exercise was not taken to failure, and was short. Also, my body would use what aminos it had to still be anabolic like usual. So now we see how far I can bump the over compensation curve![]()

Ahh brother i hope it works for you, as I may get some too. My digestion sucks. I have to be extra carefull on what I eat even if it's 5pm I can still suffer from acid foods.

Only thing I wonder herd is are you losing g out on the extra protein synthesis created by endosurge by not supplying any protein while on? Are you using one thing to trick the body with more test which has a side of increased protein synthesis and then shooting yourself in the foot by spending a week starving the body of the very protein synthesis you have created through the use of endosurge? Isn't a week of heightened synthesis going to be higher than two days of increased synthesis. Just spitballing here...
