Feeling pretty good today. Got up late, but had a nice long night of sleep. The weekend was rough so this was welcomed.

Later today im finishing up my strength squats (I know these should be reversed with strength first but my back is not so loose in the mornings)
Then more good mornings/roman deads, pull ups and bent over rows. Maybe some curls.
My accessory work is usually done for back on all days. My push/pull ratio is 1:3 mainly because of imbalances, and I hear that is optimal for balance. More updates later today! :)

2-3 second neg and explode up. I try to get the positive portion of the rep to be less than one second. Any slowing and I finish the set off at that. Only on my strength movement do I allow the positive movement to be slower. As long as i'm pushing as hard as I can.

Damn man those negatives plus all those sets must have been pretty brutal! So are you training pretty much for strength right now?

Yea pretty much, I doubt i'll get much hypertrophy with the workout i'm using. Volume wise it's pretty low IMO. I'm used to a 5X12 protocol with around 8 exercises per workout. Plus the FST7 or something nuts on Leg day like my drop sets to 100s to finish it up. Well haven't trained like that since around March when my hernia popped out.... But that was due to inflammation and stress most likely.

Oh i see, i tried 100's for a little while and mannnn those are HARD. So much burning... FST7 has some cool principles in it too i like the super-pump style sets you get. Do you plan to train that way again at all or just going for strength?

quite honestly at home working out alone it's just too hard. When I move back to Hawaii if I get a consistent workout partner and want go on a training rampage I might. I want to haah. But the food and the time it takes would be the limiting factor in it all haha.

Good stuff Mattrag! Lots of hard work going on in here. As far as calves barbell calf raises are about it for home stuff I mean you can do seated ones with the barbell on your knees or if going heavier put a book on your knees the the bar. Jumping rope will help but 19 is ridiculous man. also think I had a pump when I measured that. Was when I was obsessed with Mike Matarazzo's calves.

Dreams last night were kinda odd. I have some weird tatami bugs (Bugs that live in our crazy bamboo flooring...) But I did sleep very deeply. Remember waking up to pee, but I dont remember how I actually did it cause I was still like in a trance. Rarely happens.

Combustion is really good. I never really looked at the dosing but the 1,3 @ 25mgs seems to be the sweet spot! I have taken germanium oil pills from nutra. Those are 60mgs. And those have my chest PUMPING. You can see my whole chest pump up and down with my heart. This one was really good. Anyway, next post is the first day review :)

Took endosurge last night night and I can tell I slept MUCH better. Deeper, dreams were more REAL like most have said. I like it. Hopefully I notice libido boost on this as well. First dosing was last night so expect a more detailed review in about a week. (I can tell though that my testies are liking this ;) )

Combustion. This stuff is legit. I think the ingredients are pretty proven. But the dosing of other products I took either had too much caffeine or too little 1,3. or something because this stuff kept me focused. I took it 15mins pre workout. I think if I waited a while longer for it to work I might have had a better OH press number. I will experiment in taking it further from my workout cause as you can see the volume and weights this workout were INSANE. I pulled 185X5 for 10 sets last week as a dynamic effort type retraining my CNS to pull BB rows and this week I went up 50lbs on the 5s and changed the 185 to a 10 rep scheme. My energy was through the roof. The only reason I stopped working out was because I have to pull sumo deads tomorrow and I dont want my poor tendons being screwed before that lol.


So far impressed, I will update if I notice any libido effects today. Doubt it, but it could happen ;)

Oh man it'll help a ton believe me, i'm actually starting to switch it around and do more compound exercises and a little less accessory movements. I'm talking like only 5-10 more sets compound instead of accessory. Giving it a shot tomorrow, pretty much a 30 set pull-up workout + Accessory stuff :shocked: i can't wait though hehehehe

Just updating about my Judo session.
Just over an hour. Had MEAN energy today

My calories were SUPER low today though.

Took a pill of Combustion pre Judo and I was all set. Mean focus, not lethargic. It was great!

Cals today

2 small chicken breasts, a medium sweet potato, 1.5 scoops protein, 1/2 banana.

Est calories: 160g protein, 50g carbs, 20g fat.

SUPER LOW. Today I was planning on going build but I just had no time haha. Oh well. Three burn days in a row. Interestingly today was the day with the highest calories....

Tried doing shrugs with a narrower grip. The same one I use for my Sumo deadlift. Kinda hard because my hands are too close to my body. I definitely need to figure out how to do this better also need to find my damn GRIPS!!! Also added in some regular grip shrugs. These would be the same grip as my normal deadlift. If I ever do that again it will help I hope lol.

My hamstrings are REALLY tight, also yesterday my hip was kinda irritating me while I was practicing judo so I might try to lay off tomorrow instead of doing a dynamic effort type day and just rest. Then saturday is my Pull day. Going to try add in those Posterior chain bent over rows I stole from volcom lol.

Thoughts so far on the supps:

BPS combustion is definitely giving me the power to go through my workouts with authority. I have energy to move weight for more reps. And it gives me pretty mean focus. So far this is one of the best energy supps I have run (And I have run almost everything you could imagine...). Clean energy, doesnt feel like im taking in a load of different herbs (SHred matrix, while it was really good, I dont know if that stuff was actually making me sick... like stomach irritation because of all the exotic herbs and stuff in it) This one feels really concentrated. Like it is giving me what I need and nothing more.

I can tell right away that the sleep is better. Dreams are A LOT more real. Last night I had a pretty weird dream, first time in a long time that I am able to recall my dreams. I like it.

Libido: Libido is hard to tell because I am married but my wife works night shifts so I dont see her till the weekend. And I also work at a High School so young girls kinda turn me off... haha. So its basically, go work get turned off, see my students where ever I go shopping get turned off, then come home to nothing but a boat load of house chores... haha no wonder my libido is smashed!

Aggression: I am not 100% sure if this is caused by the combustion's energy focusing ability but I am definitely more aggressive. In judo yesterday I was pumped, not as angry as I could be as I am not so competitive, I prefer to learn before I act. Which kinda sux. But I noticed I was attacking more than I usually do. Also, I am able to go into the weight room (the one in my house) with more authority. And I tell myself that I am going to DOMINATE the weight. Could be placebo but the dreams.... are pretty definitive.

I'll add more sections as they appear in my observations.

I did this one time my suggestion is to do it in sets of 5, that way you don't blow your wad early, 20 sets of 5 with a little rest in between will get you there. Too many reps in the early sets may fatigue you beyond what the intra set recovery is able to recover from. Just a suggestion.

It's basically a way to increase four lifts. You have four weeks blocks and each week is s different rep range and weight. 5,3,1. Basically first week is 5 then 3 then you do 5-3-1 to surpass your prior max.

You can get spreadsheets and stuff online.
 
Dang it brother that is one hell of a log already. You def have solid routine down and glad to see the Combustion delivering. I love that stuff and to me BPS don't play around.

Nice workouts and happy you got your bottles. The Endo you will find gets better day by day and the Combustion at 2 per pre-workout with some creatine will be ridiculous. Can't wait to hear about how things go in about 5-7 days, you will be tearing up the gym.

Oh yea!! I'm planning on hitting my current 1rep max for 5+ reps. Might add some creatine to my pre workout bcaa drink. Currently train fasted so I take recoverpro pre and post. :).

Im using SNS Beta-Alanine and SNS Creatine E2 (CEE) I respond well to CEE. I tell ya what bro, my muscles are really dense only after about three weeks of consistent use! Rock Solid!! 3 caps of B-A upon waking, 3 caps of each pre-wkt, and 3 caps of CEE post-wkt

Be good creatine increases igf1 levels in the muscle and helps the ato energy system without adding cals.

I :love: Creatine, honestly i should look into other forms though I've been using Monohydrate forever. There was a time i tried CEE but i was too novice to notice what the difference is. In your guys' opinion, would you say there are more superior forms of creatine over monohydrate and what would you think is the best?

I honestly don't know. I hear the main difference is bloat and some people can actually feel it. For me I don't notice bloat or anything from monohydrate. Plus I have over a kg left...

Interesting, so far it seems like Nitrate gives better pumps and more strength but who knows..
