2011 ScottyDoc's famous FINAFLEX sponsored Hallow-Lean / 16wk SHREDDDD!!!

Its the best I could do...had to improvise...the gym ran out of plates...and the press only holds 26 (or so it thought)

Im not happy with this though (due to the sliding of the 10 pound plate)

Haha you wouldn't be the only one, I like to yell BIG TITS BIG TITS before i do a lift (not serious) :salook:

My motivation usually comes during a hard cut or diet when I am running out of gas and I still have more to do or still have to do my cardio and I want to quit, first I'll start justifying why I should quit, like..."You are tired, listen to your body" then I'll retort back, "yeah, listening to your body is what got your lazy-a$$ here in the first place, push it...!" and I'll think of kewl quotes or sayings like... "If it were easy, everyone would look good and no one ever got to the top by half-a$$ing it, etc." The funny part is when my "Lazy" side and "Motivated" side start battling it out, LoL I think it goes a little something like this...

Hmmm sorry about that bunk post Doc try the youtube link on my log...I wont litter on your thread again.

Nahhh... it's not litter unless you are Spam advertising something without my permission or something, this is a challenge well worth a few mis-fires, LoL! So exactly how many plates was that, I could not really count other than the 2 plates on top of the machine and what looked like 25's on top the weights, but you said they were 10's?

26- 45s, 2- 35s on top and the 2- 10s on each side = 28- 45s

Too-Shay, so it is on me now... I have to beat 14 x 14, I accept! FYI, I only train heavy legs once a week, just trained them yesterday, so my next go at it should be this coming Monday!

I think i'm at like 4 plates right now :guilty:

An old piece of $hit blackberry pearl, was not my choice, when FINAFLEX decided to start paying for my phone through T-Mobile, I landed up getting one of the owner's old phone, Beggers can't be Choosers!!!
Haha! I know how you feel! The BB Pearl was a P.O.S. brand new! Worst phone I ever had!! It was VERY tough though! Threw it through a door in one of my enraged moments (actually did this twice! Lol!) and the darn thing wouldn't break! My brother dropped his while riding down the highway on his motorcycle, pick up the battery and cover and it still "worked"!

Mean log so far man. I think I might have to rethink my diet to make it more like yours... I've been doing LG for a while and I seem to be doing worse... Last time I was dieting this hard (around a year ago) I was 85kgs and stronger, lifting less often, and eatin more. Now, even on a DS, I was dying, weak, and sustained an injury....

Anyway, Shameless plug but please check my log out in my sig if you have time!!

Ha ha ha I had a total of 3 blackberry pearls cause they were a piece of crap phone that kept breaking. Now I have that mytouch 4g. Before that I had the G1.

Concerning your weight loss so far.... I don't think it really matters. If there is fat loss and lean muscle gain then your golden. From the pic, I think you look like you have put on mass and dropped fat and that's what it's about, right? Can't believe those workouts!! No wonder ur putting on mass!!!! Lookin' good so far!!!

Agreed! Less fat, more muscle....."WINNING!" And we all know how much Al likes to win! Thor is a beastly dude so it only fits for you to be beastly too! Keep up the hard work!

Would definitely work, but try doing Lean Gains as prescribed first instead of trying to mesh it with the UD2 diet. You take the good out of LG doing that and take the good out of UD2 doing it as well. So basically you end up with a carb load when not depleted enough to do a carb load which instead leads to fat gain or much less fat lost. I know we spoke or PM'd about this earlier today but I saw this post and wanted to remind you that you have not been doing lean gains as designed so you can't expect the results expected when following it. Your effort to improve on it actually made the format less effective than the two dietary strategies you meshed together.

I am in no way saying LG is better than the way that Al is eating. His is tried and true all day long it will work. So is Lean Gains for anyone who is following it as prescribed. Lean Gains just fits in better with my natural rhythms and life style. I just wanted to be sure that we did not blame the lack of progress in this situation on Lean Gains when it is actually the mutation of lean gains that is causing the problem.

Hehe, yup thanks for the PMs MrKleen, you got me cleared up on various things. Though my cals were made to match the UD2 while using the feeding window to control my appetite I could have just been seriously elevating my cortisol levels from starving and being depleted. I'll try what you suggested earlier. I seem to always take things to pure physical and mental limits... ends up screwing my training. Not this time though.

Back to you ScottyDoc, you have some mean dicipline on diet. That's a lot of canned tuna.

Admittedly I used a diet VERY close to the one Al is using for my competition prep. I got all the way down to just under 4%. It was like his too very basic and easily repeated meal plan so convenience was never the reason I didn't follow the diet. I still remember it exactly because I repeated the meals so often.

I still get the shakes when I think back to certain contest diets I've done. Boiled chicken, plain brown rice cakes, and steamed veggies all day  :aargh4: I literally used to look forward to my protein shakes and the tablespoon of PB a day cause they were only things with any flavor... Thank god for Lean Gains!

Layne Norton has a cheesecake??? lol Please enlighten me!

Plus, I don't do dessert per se, I prefer to grill up a sausage pinwheel instead of a sugary snack. I just crave flavor from my food.

Layne & Isabel's Low-Carb Cheesecake Masterpiece

Ingredients:

2 lbs no fat cream cheese
4 whole large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tablespoon cinnamon
4 oz (1/2 cup) low carb no fat milk
1 cup cooking splenda (sucralose)
Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Using No Fat cooking spray, spray 9" pie pan
Mix ingredients together using an electric blender in a large bowl
Pour mix into pre-greased pan

Heat at 350 degrees for 40-50 minutes
Remove from oven and place in refrigerator

You must let this sit at least 4-5 hours in the fridge if you want a decent cheesecake.

Macronutrient Totals (per slice):

Protein: 20g
Carbohydrates: 6g
Fat: 2.25g
Chocolate or vanilla protein powder can be added to the mix for flavor and more protein if desired.

If one desires a softer cheesecake, then use 1 lb of light ricotta cheese and 1 lb of fat free cream cheese instead of 2 lbs fat free cream cheese. This changes the totals per slice.

Macronutrient Totals (per slice):

Protein: 17g
Carbohydrates: 5g
Fat: 4.5g
* This cheesecake is extremely good when topped with Walden Farms' calorie free chocolate syrup and a thin coat of peanut butter or fat free whip cream.

Several folks make this here (with variations too), lots of good reviews!

Thanks Bro, I'm definitely giving it my all, also trying to keep it very safe and burn out with reps vs. heavy weights to prevent injuries especially while dieting, not to mention higher reps and intensity is better for fat-loss anyway! Oh, I know, I do still train my Legs very heavy 1 x per week, but that is the only body part where I am unsatisfied with my proportions, I would rather have slightly disproportionately larger legs like a running back or a sprinter compared to a lean and aesthetic upper body, but that is just my opinion and my battle for being tall, LoL! Also, that is the beauty of this sport, competing or not, you are never completely satisfied with your physique, always room for improvement, if my legs were big enough, I would want bigger more rounder shoulders, a thicker upper chest, larger arms, etc. etc. I could go on for days, LoL, but this is why we are hear molding the clay day in and day out!

All I can say is KISS (keep it simple stupid) is my motto, which is why I eat the same damn thing day in and day out! I cooked all my chicken for 3 weeks and they are individually frozen in sandwich bags and packed in freezer bags in my freezer, next I went to can goods for all my vegetable carbs, yes, it is a tad higher in sodium, but then again, I drink 2+ gallons of water a day to flush that out, I hard boil my eggs each week and keep them in the frig, I mean it sure makes it easy to stick with if it is all pretty much made and done already, there is no, "Oh I'm stuck here or there and I don't have food, guess I'll get Burger King" that doesn't happen to me, I won't let it happen, with a little intelligent planning, you can always make it work! Honestly, I think the way I eat when I'm on my diet is both cheaper and easier than the way I eat when I'm not dieting, so for anyone saying they would diet, but it is too expensive... Bull$hit, excuses are like A$$holes, everybody has one, including me, LoL..Heheh! My A$$hole.. I mean excuse is not wanting to do cardio, but that is where my drive and motivation comes into play, I just tell myself every single day, I've done it before... I can do it again, I have a long way to go and it is going to be a tough road, but if I stay the course (consistency, consistency, consistency) it will happen!!!

Day 17 - 07/27/2011

Took the day off, no big secret, my wife is from CHILE and today was our final interview with the Immigrations office to get her green card! Things went well, the wifey is now a permanent US resident and in 3 years we will get her citizenship! So I took off of the gym and work in order to make the interview and I did cheat on my diet. I only ate two meals...

Diet:
Meal 1 - 6 egg whites, 1 yoke, 1 cup of pasta, & 1 cup of black beans (black bean, pasta & egg white goulash) tasted great with a little tabasco!
Meal 2 - Frontera Mex. Restaurant - 1 basket of corn chips with salsa & guacamole, then a large grilled Chicken burrito drowning in queso and one HUGE fishbowl sized Texas Margarita (frozen with salt on the rim).

Sorry guys, it was a very special occasion for the wife and I, but no worries, this is in no way a trend, just one of those things I had to do and I made sure I enjoyed it, LoL!!!

Grats I hope for the best bro those things sometimes can be a pain especially with immigration and their q&a congrats half way there

Not everyone! A good friend of mine was born without one. Has to use a colostumie (not sure on spelling) bag. Still did rodeo and other very active stuff.

No Bro, you misunderstood, we are not half-way there, we are there! It is over, I mean the transition from Permanent resident to Citizen is much, much, much easier than getting the permanent residency green card! See usually what they give you first is your temporary residency green card (2-years) then you renew it and make it permanent, but we have already been married for two years, so they just give you the permanent right off the bat, which is what she got!

Smart-A$$, glad to hear your friend made the best of his situation, we could all sit back and learn from people like that, to really understand what perseverance is all about!

Nice grats on that then, that's even better news

Congrats on the residency for the wife!!

Thanks Bro, we are very happy! I mean it wasn't a hard task, but believe me Immigration is no different than any other government run institution, slow and if you don't dot all your i's and cross all your t's, you got redo it, took two years, but it is over and done with now, LoL!

Good to hear! You forgot to mention filling it all out in triplicate so some large person at the gov. office doesn't have to get up to run the freakin copy machine! Lol!

No Bro... You are wrong, they will make copies for you at a rate of $20/per copy!

Mean set of pull downs Doc. Finally ordered up a big ol tub of NO Ignite can't wait to batter through some GVT...the samples you sent were killer...I just needed to feel that fire inside again!

Congrats to you and the wife bro! Hope there was more to the celebrating than just eating! :D

Workouts are looking good. I prep my meals the same way that you do. It's not a diet for me. It's how I eat.

Late sub.

How are you enjoying that 200mg of Cyp per week, big man?

Got to be a major relief congrats..

Late sub.

How are you enjoying that 200mg of Cyp per week, big man?

Not Cyp... I'm liking it, but damn that **** leaves a lump that lasts like 3 days and gets all sore and $hit, I have to get my wife to massage my A$$ every night, literally! My Doc buddy gave me 2 sample vials with 3mL's @ 200mg/mL of Test (Enanthate). Tonight I will be taking a 1/2mL from the 2nd vial, hoping the new vial makes a difference! I asked my friend about it and he said that some people's body's reject the testosterone at first or all together and they usually have to go transdermal patches, which is not the route I want to go, so I'm gonna give it all the way until I'm done with the 2nd 3mL sample vial and the already purchased 10mL bottle, which will get me through this Log anyway, then I'll be ready for my new blood work and I'll make my decision from there on whether I want to continue IM injections or go transdermal, also I'm expecting my dose to probably go down to like 100mg/week maintenance or something by then, all I can do is wait and see! But that is the negative side of it, on the positive side.. Labido is through the roof, alpha-male is through the roof, strength is also increasing, energy is increasing slowly but surely, I would expect it to increase faster if I wasn't cutting my carb & fat intake so much and more than doubling my efforts in the gym with my 3-4 days a week of 1hr of cardio! Another thing about the strength is I am taking 6 1-ANDRO's a day which comes out to 660mg a day of Androsterone, I'm sure that is not hurting my strength, LoL!

Day 19 - 07/29/2011 - Light Legs & Calves

Exercise 1: Hip inversion (ABduction) / Hip eversion (ADduction)
Set 1 - 250Lbs for 30 reps inversion, immediately followed by 200Lbs of eversion
Set 2 - 250Lbs for 30 reps inversion, immediately followed by 200Lbs of eversion
Set 3 - 250Lbs for 30 reps inversion, immediately followed by 200Lbs of eversion

Exercise 2: One legged Leg Curls
Set 1 - 80Lb each leg for 10 reps
Set 2 - 90Lb each leg for 10 reps
Set 3 - 100Lb each leg for 10 reps
Set 4 - 100Lb each leg for 10 reps
Set 5 - 100Lb each leg for 9 reps
Set 6 - 80Lb each leg for 12 reps

Exercise 3: Leg Extensions
Set 1 - 150Lb for 15 reps (toes in)
Set 2 - 150Lb for 15 reps (toes out)
Set 3 - 150Lb for 15 reps (toes in)
Set 4 - 150Lb for 15 reps (toes out)
Set 5 - 150Lb for 15 reps (toes in)
Set 6 - 150Lb for 15 reps (toes out)

Exercise 4: Hack Squat Calf raises
Set 1 - 3 plates on each side for 25 reps (toes in)
Set 2 - 3 plates on each side for 25 reps (toes out)
Set 3 - 3 plates on each side for 20 reps (toes in)
Set 4 - 3 plates on each side for 20 reps (toes out)
Set 5 - 3 plates on each side for 20 reps (toes straight)

This workout was very fast, I was hustling, I finished in 40mins and because I don't like to do cardio on leg days, light or heavy, I spent 1hr in and out of the sauna to stretch, sweat, & get the heart rate up and burn a few extra calories, may not be as good as 1hr of cardio, but I'm a firm believer it still burns a good bit of calories, worst case scenario, I like it and it helps with muscle soreness!

Diet:
Meal 1 - 6 egg whites, 1 yoke, & 3/4 cup of oatmeal (pre-workout)
Meal 2 - 6 egg whites, 1 yoke, & 3/4 cup of oatmeal (post-workout)
Meal 3 - 2 cans of tuna in water & 1 can of spinach
Meal 4 - 8oz Chicken breast & 1 can of green beans
Meal 5 - 8oz Chicken breast & 1 can of green beans
Meal 6 - 2 scoops of whey protein & water (pre-sleep)
2+ gallons of water

Don't give up the IM injections. You don't want the transdermals....trust me. The pain and lumps will go away in time.......and not long either. I went through the very same thing when I started pinning. But after about 3 months I stopped lumping up and having soreness. And it was the same gear too.......so that tells me that my body was just trying to reject the testosterone as a strange outside source of hormones. But I adapted quickly and I am having NO problems whatsoever now and I've been on the injectables for about 18 months now...........best gains in my entire life bro. You're gonna love how it makes you feel once you've been on for about 2 months.

Rock On Big Al

Thank you, I really needed to hear that... because I want to stay with injections, I really do! I'm not really taking it to make any gains with it, I mean I won't complain if I make some, but I just want to get my levels back up to where I was when I was in my 20's 800-900ng/dL range and then just maintain, not in any way trying to become a huge monster or even close, just want the health benefits of having the "RIGHT" amount of testosterone in my body, other than that, I honestly am happy with my size (overall) I mean of course I want slightly bigger legs, want my rear delts to pop a little more, etc. etc. But overall Mass wise, I'm good!

First off congrats on the permanent residency!

Second, out of the ass family I am Jack! ;)

Third, Your workouts make me tired!

Fourth - make sure to massage the injection site immediately when you take you shot. I found when I did my run many years ago that pressing my thumb into the area like pressing a trigger point or knot out of a muscle then rub for a good 30 seconds and that should help disperse some of the oils a little more so it isn't as big of a knot which doesn't stretch the muscle tissue out of whack so much less discomfort. Maybe inject more slowly also.

And Finally - KEEP KICKING THAT ASS!!!

"KICK-A$$" is my middle name, oh way... or is it just A$$, either way, I will!!!

Thanks for the injection advice, I have been massaging it right after the injections, just amazing how these painful, swollen, hot to the touch lumps just stay there for days!!! I mean my wife has massaged them out and they return even, no joke!!!

Some thick oil in there then. Have you tried ibuprofen sounds like it is just getting inflamed since it comes back after she massages it...
