Danny McBride is always funny to me. That persona he uses in his films is just awesome. :lmao:
No I don't. I play real sports. I don't try to be the best at exercising.
My biggest fear is that Danny McBride will suffer the same fate as Vince Vaughn 5 years ago. If he gets typecast as "kenny powers", it will get old.
I liked him in tropic thunder
"Mother Nature just pissed her pantsuit!!"
Okay, now I have to go watch Tropic Thunder again. Thanks...
FTFY.![]()
Nope, heard it was good though. Hopefully going tomorrow.Anyone get to see sucker punch yet ?
I'm feeling old now.what is sucker punch?

Any news on Sucker Punch? My friend ended up not seeing it this weekend. Seems that most reviews say that you shouldn't go into it expecting a solid story.
I watched Leon (The Professional International Version,) this weekend for the first time in a few years. I forgot how awesome that movie is.

Isn't that the fatal flaw of Zack Snyder's films? I blame it on the not-so-popular comic books his movies are based on. The focus seems to be more on the artwork than the storyline.
Agreed on both accounts there. I do enjoy a "beautiful" movie, as the same with one that has amazing sound. Last one that I really enjoyed was Alice in Wonderland - excellent visuals. That, and my daughter loves it. I've seen it atleast 25 times, sometimes 2-3 times in one day. (Ugh...2 yr olds...)thats really ok by me though. my mind can be as engrossed by visuals as by plotline. Tell me seriously at this point, when was the last time you saw any movie or tv show that wasn't derivative of some prior movie or tv show other than in small details?

As for originality... I'm not sure that really exists anymore.
Own that one. I do really enjoy it. It not only has good visuals, but the story is actually quite touching.back in the 90s one of my favorite movies was "What Dreams May Come". I pretty well dislike robin williams as an actor, and the movie was depressing, but the visuals were fantastic

One of my favorite flicks of all time has to be Big Fish. It's a Tim Burton flick, but without all the cheese, Danny Elfman music, and Johnny Dipshyt. If you haven't seen it, see it. It's pretty much the most accurate portrayal of how my mind processes the world that I've ever seen outside my own mind. Yup.
last really original film i saw was where the guy lost his memory and had to make notes for himself. denis hopper played a cop who used the guy to do hits for him. damn-can't remember the name???
Memento... the movie plays in reverse... quite a bad ass movie!
Eh... not a fan of Nightmare or Corpse Bride. And I'm about sick to death of Johnny Depppppppppppppplalalalalalapoot. His version of Willy Wonka kinda creeped me out. I think it was because he sports the same haircut as my HS spanish teacher. She pulled it off better.Have that on dvd tooTim Burton has yet to do anything bad.

Inception was pretty original in most ways... albeit by the same director no less.
Old? Nah. Lucky, in this economy, that's what I'd say. Kudos again to ya for the purchase. :cheers:Hey gang, I know it's been pretty quiet in here. Tell ya what, next time I'm over there I'll take some pictures of my new house I'm buying so you can all make fun of me being old and having a mortgage. Sound good?
U gon b jelly as hell when I post the picture of the basement that's perfect for a power rack.

Check out craigslist to stock up that basement. Should find yourself a decently priced power rack there.
I was just thinking about that flick. Nail on the head. Big Fish was such a good movie.
That's exactly what I was thinking. About this time of year is when I imagine some people 'give up' on their health goals they set at Christmas/New Years. And better deals than $1 per lb for weight too.
You can get'em for around .66-.75per lb on the bigger weights at wally world if you want something new....

Yeah. That's not bad but he'll find a MUCH better deal for some used weights on craigslist. :yup:
What you think?
That rack & bench w/ 245lb weight & oly bar for $300

Still keeping a look out for a proper squat rack.
Still keeping a look out for a proper squat rack.
And great for 4 inch or so lock outs! That helped me with my upper end rep travel.Instead of a squat rack, I think you ought to look for a power-rack like you mentioned the other day. It will be great for squats and so much more. You can set the catch bars at whatever level you want and never need a spot for benching or over-head presses. You can do rack-deads........oh....:32:
The endless possiblities.![]()
