Man... Once that sun comes up I'm done for! Every midnight shift i work I fall asleep driving home. It's awful but when I hit the sheets once I get home I'm done for. Unlike day shift or afternoons....

i know..right.

i usually don't have much left for hitting the weights. i did get 30 minutes of cardio in today. oh well, i am off untill sunday night so i plan on a good workout tomorrow-even though i hate going to nifs on the weekend, lol.

Unfortunately, they use forced over time, and even if your on days/nights, you have to work an opposite shift, as long as you have 12 hours off before you come in again, or they might have you come in on the same shift, or split shift you if you have the next day off. Days for us start at either 7p.m. or 7a.m., but my position requires me to be there about 40 mins. before and after. Sucks for me because I'm cross-trained, so I have to cover any call-offs in my department that I USED to work in. It's real fun when you've been up all day and you get called round 7 to come in that night,lol. So I pretty much work at a minimum of 60 hours every week. I feel for you guys about having trouble working out after work, I'm in the same boat.

we are scheduled for 8hrs 5 days a week. in the summer when we get busy often we will have mandatory saturdays. like you i am crosstrained and get stuck covering other machines when we are short handed. went almost a month of 12's working saturdays too last summer, damn that sucked-but the money was nice, lol.

rez is nice as a feel good stim, but it aint no mesomorph-but then what is, lol. in a perfect world i use mesomorph pre workout and use rez before work.

those aps tee's are the best yet. can't believe how nice they fit-i've got 2 of them. only tee's i won't let my wife wear, lol.

todays workout confirmed why i hate to go to nifs on the weekend-if i wasn't so pissed waiting for a machine to open up it would have been funny. guys and girls loading up machines with more weight than any 4 of them could have lifted, straining like hell with veins popping on foreheads and not even budging it. tomorrow i will just do weighted stairclimbing-i know those idiots don't have the guts to even try that, lol.

oh well, i got a half assed workout in-probably should have stayed home and worked out in my basement.
 
I feel you. If I don't go to the gym at 5-6AM, then it's shot for me. I hate going in the evening when all the douche bags go and use all the equipment... the wrong way to boot.

thru the week it's not bad-but on weekends you get groups of 4 or 5 just messing around. nifs is a great place with fantastic equiptment, but it is connected to a university campus-so you get a lot of weekend warriors.
 
I hear ya. It was "highschool night" I swear at my gym the other night. 5 to a bench. 100lbs between them and a girl sitting on the end of the bench while the guys are straining to lift. Ugh...

lol-i guess i shouldn't complain, really lucky to have a place as good as nifs so close. i usually go in the morning thru the week and it isn't bad, i knew going on a saturday was going to be trouble. i have dammed near a complete gym in my basement, but the nifs facility is just outrageous-really a world class place.
 
This is why I lift at home! I hate the commercial gym crowd... even more I hate when I am lifting and have my ipod in and some person I went to kindergarden with wants to walk up to me and start up a convo. I am in my zone and working I dont want to talk with you especially since I dont even remember who the hell you even are and no I dont care about what you did last weekend :aargh: I am the biggest a-hole in the gym when I work out because I believe in the idea of going to a gym to workout and not socialize.. I know its a strange concept right :spank:

must be nice to get a lunch 'hour', lol. i get a paid 20 minute lunch and 2 15 minute breaks. i like that though-i only have to be there for a flat 8 hours-when not working overtime.
 
went and did 4 trips of weighted stairclimbing this morning, was really dragging ass but forced myself to git er done. kinda proud of myself, i really didn't feel into it-but i don't want to lose all the great gains i have made. feel like i am in a slump, gonna just chill and take it easy for the rest of the day.

T, if I were you I would do a suedo cruise period until the new jug of Meso gets here and then balls to the walls again. Recharge the body for the hell that is about to come!!

the weather probably has something to do with it-it had been sunny and warm and now today it is windy/chilly/dreary out. supposed to have rain turning to snow overnight-:sigh1:

around 10 years or so ago corporations were integrating mandatory exercise before work. times change, used to be companies thought of their employees as assets, now employees are thought of as expendable liabilities. this is why american bussiness is suffering, imo.

Ain't that the truth... But for a reason- how many fake ass lawsuits have there been? People sue their employer all the time for BS... I used to work at cook county jail and they were the worst. Jail guards would fall off their chair and sue. It's sad... The sense of entitlement and the "protected class" are all reason America is failing :(

it may be that the sense of entitlement comes from feeling that employers are always looking for ways to screw employees, i agree it's a double edged sword. i also agree that with all of it's faults america is where i want to be.

:bling: thats all I can ask for.. I cant change the world or country or how people percieve things but what I can change is my outlook on my life. I dont like to focus on the negative as there is just so much. Society as a whole are becoming dumber and dumber while small sects of people are becoming eviler and eviler and greed, gluttony, laziness, etc are all so common that I have given up. There are still good honest people around and it is always such a pleasure to meet or see someone like that still around. All I can do is be thankfull for my job and work the hardest I can, be thankfull for my health and do the best I can to maintain my body and be thankfull for my family and do eveything I can to ensure their saftey and happiness.

i used to visit him when i was young-12-14. he would give me his 22 rifle and 4 bullets, and tell me 4 kills is enough for one day-and i had better have 4 kills or bullets left. once shot a possum, and he made me eat it, lol. possum sucks, i still remember that!!!

mostly mental-dreary days with little to no sunshine often does that to me.
