I started taking body fortress's creatine formula last weekjust to gain some extra strength and weight. I was doing sets of 175 bench last week while loading on the creatine and now this week i go to lift and my arms are mush! I need help lifting 135 bench and my curls dropped 30 pounds. Also my incline bench is horrible now i cant even lift the bar and before i could get up 135 easily. Does anyone know what the heck is going on?

It's not the creatine's fault, LOL - you went hard last week with training, and now your arms are feeling it this week. That's completely normal - on and off weeks are normal. Just go down in your weights for this week, Colton - still make the session as intense as you can, and look forward to next week.

As a sidenote, you don't have to load creatine (nor do you have to cycle it0 - just stick to 2-3g (no more than 5g) a day, and you'll be fine.

I can't tell you what your body will do - only you know how fast you recover. Whether you have to work your way back up or be able to pick off where you left off last week and do more is something you won't know until you get to next week - if you know your body, though, you should have an idea of what to expect (I mean, I know what my body is capable of, and if I have a not-so-good week re weights, the next week I am usually to do what I did before my 'weak' week or better).

You also want to make sure that you're eating enough and eating well - if you don't eat enough, your strength could suffer.

Hey man,if i could,i would recommend a Creatine Ethyl Ester,my experiences with that are SO much better than Mono,no bloating,SOME water retention but thats because i used a very cheap brand, most now dont hold water, plus the strength gains were better.

I would go the opposite and NOT recommend a creatine ethyl ester - this is the only type of creatine that screwed with my body (bloods were all wrong - you can look through previous logs to find the information), even though you get the same results re performance.

And for the record, TheMeatus101, creatine monohydrate does NOT have to cause bloating or any of that - just use something like Kre-Alkalyn or CreaPure.

Ha ok maybe that is my problem. The stuff i have is like a 3 blend of creatine. A monohydrate, Ester Phosophate, and Ethyl Ester. And i feel like im getting weaker everyday. I think im going to quit taking it cuz im doing the opposite of what it is. Is there any other kind of supplement that is like creatine but isn't it? maybe even more effective?

Look up "C-BOL" by Thermolife, has nothing but great reviews.

No, there is no other supplement like creatine, or that does what creatine does in your body. You don't need to use creatine, no, but it makes a difference, trust me, and IMO if you are doing anaerobic or resistance training, then creatine should be a STAPLE.

If you want something else, then you can use a preworkout product, but it is NOT going to do what creatine does in your body, no.

Rosie has given you good advice. Don't look for any other supplement that will make things easier. I can tell by your picture that you are still a young guy and can put on more weight with good eating, sleeping, and working out. Creatine Mono is cheap and effective. Your muscles will retain some water, but you will gain a little size, and that can be a good mental boost. Personally I wasted a lot of money on "new" supplements over the years and I will give you a good list of staples that are cost effective and work:

Creatine Mono
Whey Protein (morning and post workout)
Casein Protein(slower absorbing protein Pre-bed) I eat cottage cheese and drink whole milk pre bed.
Fish Oil/Flaxseed Oil
Vitamin C (or a multi vit)

Potentials*
BCAA's
Nitric Oxide products.

Spend your money on food, food, and more food. You wont be disappointed.

you must hang at bb. if looking for a creatine nitrate product, aps is the way to go.

to the op-if you are using creatine, upping your water intake is very important to get the best results.

good luck.

Roughly a gallon a day, especially when you take creatine.

You should be drinking a galleon of water a day (and I mean a UK galleon of 4.54 litres, not a measly US galleon of 3.79 litres) anyways, period!
