Guys, you're killing me. Without any AI, on sust, deca, dbol I still have veins in my lats, abs, calves, ankles, ****, you get it... Drugs are drugs. Sure, as the show approaches we will switch out the sust/deca/dbol for drugs such as Prop, EQ, Var, Winny, Masteron but be patient. I will update as soon as we make those changes. It all depends on what your goals are. When we began I was 4% bf calipered (I know, this is an inaccurate measurment but it does measure progress). 5 weeks later and 25lbs heavier I am calipering at 5%bf. It's called a clean bulk. Sure, 10-15lbs is water weight but as we cycle in the precontest drugs we'll dry out...

Also, keep in mind that this cycle was a rebound cycle from my last show 5/22.

Gaining muscle with no diet? I think you're violating several physical laws with that one.

Diet is more important, PERIOD.

If you're cycling up with big gains on a poor diet, it's only possible because you're too small in the first place.

The following text outlines the benefits and risks of Testosterone administration based on a clinical human trial of 61 healthy men in 2001. The purpose of the trial was to determine the dose dependency of testosterone’s effects on fat-free mass and muscle performance. In this trial 61 men, 18-35years old were randomized into 5 groups receiving weekly injections of 25, 50, 125, 300, 600 mg of Testosterone Enanthate for 20 weeks. They had previous weight-lifting experience and normal T levels. Their nutritional intake was standardized and they did not undertake any strength training during the trial. The only two groups that reported significant muscle building benefits were the 300 and 600 mg groups so any dose lower than 300mg will not be considered in this essay. 12 men participated in the 300 mg group and 13 men in the 600 mg group.
600mg of Testosterone a week for 20 weeks resulted in the following benefits. Increased fat free mass, muscle strength, muscle power, muscle volume, hemoglobin and IGF-1.
The same 600 mg administration resulted in 2 side effects. HDL cholesterol was negatively correlated and 2 men developed acne.
The normal range for total T in men is 241-827 ng/dl according to Labcorp and 260-1000 ng/dl according to Quest Laboratories. The normal range for IGF-1 is 81-225 according to Labcorp. Total T and IGF-1 levels were taken after 16 weeks and resulted in the following;

300 mg group-1,345 ng/dl a 691 ng increase from baseline
600 mg group-2,370 ng/dl a 1,737 ng increase from baseline

IGF-1
300 mg group-388 ng/dl a 74 ng increase from baseline
600 mg group-304 ng/dl a 77 ng increase from baseline

Body composition was measured after 20 weeks.

I think you need to re-read what you posted, as there is quite a difference between LEAN MASS and FAT-FREE MASS. Also, diet was controlled, but perhaps I'm splitting hairs. The point is you are drawing erroneous conclusions from data you don't even fully understand.

I don't think anybody is going to dispute the fact that AAS build muscle. Isn't that why people use them in the first place? But statements like this:

are absurd, depending of course on one's definition of huge, and this:

will you get HUGE with a lackluster diet, crappy routine but lots of drugs? YES

is at best a half-truth. Will a drug user with the above grow more than normal? Sure. Will the same guy achieve NPC-level status, competing for a pro card, as the OP is? Hell-****ing-no. If you've been around long enough you'll surely run into some guys that cycle and aren't anywhere near what one would call very muscular. Steroids work, but they don't do the work for you.

They are part of the equation, for sure. Calling them the most important part is debatable at best.

so you think the drugs are less important then diet and training? take away the drugs and you would have no hope. they are just as important as diet and training, hell up to a point the roids can make you gain muscle with NO diet and training (wil post my fav study if anyone asks)

Word! True that juice helps alot and naturally the body won't do much even with diet and training

Thanks for posting the pre-contest after all this time... what were your overall results as far as working toward your goal for weight/BF combination? I believe you said you were looking for the neighborhood of 225.
 
deca/dbol mmmm hmm

although i prefer NPP- the quicker acting ester but ur 16 wks out so eh deca whatever- good stuff
 
i like the tren/mast- is it mast p or e? 350...just enough for that chizzled look eh?
 
one thing i must interject- steroids are a supplement- if your diet isnt good or training- yeah you will still gain, but the quality of mass to fat ratio will be much much better once diet/training/rest are spot on

I was hoping to qualify for USA's or Nat'ls but was unsuccesful. Maybe next time around.
