Novedex XT killed my libido, that was during late PCT though. Can't comment on the Formestane yet =)
it will dry ur joints out too, chuck it in the garbage

Novadex XT is not just ATD, but is two different AI's from what I understand. I've also read that Formestane will shutdown libido more because it actually inhibits DHT, and this is a major contibutor to gyno.ATD should be used sparingly, medium to high dose usually cause the libido issue.
Transdermal Form is a better option imo. Start using midweek of the last week into PCT.
Both is good, but I personally would go for Form.

is this person right? does formestane shut down your libido?

respect the formestane.
use moderate doses.
taper off.
i have had very good results from formestane-over 4 years of using it.
it is my all time favorite supplement.:dunno:

Formestane is also steroidal is it not?

Hey celc5, when using the Formestane on cycle did you taper off, or just stop when the cycle was over? If you did taper off what dosage did you use and for how long post cycle? In my experience, formestane is very potent run solo and ON cycle. It wasn't as potent for libido, aggression, or leaning in pct in my experience.
Yes, but so are all the other AI's mentioned in this thread. Steroidal means that the AI binds permanently to aromatase.
No. Formestane is the best libido booster available. It is also a bedroom performance enhancer.
Edit:
Augustus,
You are correct at form's dht controlling properties. That's another thing that makes it a good ON cycle choice to prevent increased shedding, acne, etc.
At the same time, my opinion is that rebound occurs because of the compound used (ahem Superdrol 99% of the time), not because of the AI. Lots of people run proper pct after SD and end up with delayed gyno down the road. It's tough to blame the serm and AI (whichever is chosen) after running such an erratic compound. I also suspect that may be true of tren compounds, although i don't plan on ever experiencing that myself.

I'd rather not use it too far into my pct, just more as a bridge into pct.
Form all the way over XT.

I'm just using it during a 6 week cycle of 1-T. So, that's what I'm asking what dosage would be a good precautionary dose and what would be the best way to taper off and bridge into pct.i think both celc and i will agree that tapering off is way to go. how you taper off would depend on how you are dosing.
I'm just using it during a 6 week cycle of 1-T. So, that's what I'm asking what dosage would be a good precautionary dose and what would be the best way to taper off and bridge into pct. I do have a small lump in behind my left nipple, so this is why I'm wanting to run it during my cycle. If you're bridging into pct, then you probably should taper. Of course, you'd have another low dosed AI posed to step in at that point. Mid pct is not the time to cut out AI's all of the sudden.
Another side note, it's my personal opinion that an AI shouldn't be run ON cycle unless necessary. One reason would be that you have a gyno history in which case you are running the low dose AI in a preventive manner. Or the other reason would be that an estrogen or prolactin sensitivity started to pop up on cycle in which case I'd run it aggressively to relieve the problem asap. Otherwise, no need to put the extra stress on the body IMO.
Formestane actually increased my libido. Been running PP's Formestane LV as a standalone at low doses every 12 hours.
Thanks. The only bad part is havin to shower three times a day before applying it.Run it as low as possible to get the lump down. I find that 1 squirt 3 times per day works on mild cycles for me.
Another reason to keep it as low as necessary is because you're probably gonna run an ai in pct... could get real messy on lipids with 6 week ON plus 4-6 weeks pct with ai's in the picture.
Boy, I wish I knew for sure how bad form was on the lipids, that would really make the difference in running it for a very long time...
If you take a close look at the previous posts in this thread, several of us who eliminated symptoms with an AI (including form for myself) ended up having gyno creep back up afterward.
I recommend dosing the form as low as necessary to get the symptoms down. I personally respond really well to even low doses of form so I like 1 pump 3 times per day. I notice a difference in 2 days and it's gone in like 4-5 days IME.
What would be cool is if you could get the lump down in like 3-4 weeks of form and have sort of a bridge in a low dose of nolva afterward (speak up here fellas) but I'm thinking like 10-20mg for about 4-6 weeks. That's just me thinking out loud, and it's quite possible that there really is no solution to our problem.
I still don't understand how atd is still one of the most used ai`s, theres a lot of better options and form is one of them.
I never tried the transdermal but I always saw good comments on the libido issue, in my particular case I tried formex and that stuff made my wife always very happy on my cycles
Sounds interesting. I think I might give it a shot. Is that too much suppression though? So it'll be about 4 weeks on formestane then another 4 weeks on a low dose nolva. It's worth a shot to avoid rebound, I just don't want to be shut down at all.
I'm going to be running a 4-6 week cycle here in April, and want to know what's a better AI during the cycle Novadex-XT or Formestane(CEL).
Which will save my libido, and won't give me estrogen rebound post cycle?
Not a fan of either! A former client of mine, a world leading researcher in breast cancer and fertility, has worked with all the anti estrogens. He was shocked that these were being sold over the counter, but even more shocked at the dosages recommended. When nolvadex first came out I showed him the bottle and he recommended 1 cap not the 4 as suggested. I was an idiot and went with 4. Didnt take long for me to start losing strength, sore joints, loss of libido, etc. These AI have no place in our supplement stacks as far as im concerned! But good luck and keep us updated.

It's cool that you understand your mistake. However, it's illogical to say "I used supplement incorrectly" and then follow with "it has no place in supplementation" LOL Are you kidding me? :laugh2:
Also, formestane, trione, and 6bromo are nothing like Novedex. It's illogical to lump all AI's into one basket. The reason I mention this is because you say "AI's have no place in supplementation" and there's other otc AI options. The same is true of the typical RC AIs, all have different methods of action and different effects.
I never used the supplement "incorrectly"! The bottle of Novedex Xt Im holding in my hands has an expiry date of 6/7 lot # 82070 and it says "take 2 to 4 capsules at night.' This supplement screwed me up, and alot of others I know personally. I had had to work closely with my reasearch client to get myself normalized. Want an AI? Use a real one like Femara! Got gyno? CUT IT OUT and stop playing silly games!

Wow, you sound really bitter towards Novedex for not doing your research for you  Ha Ha NO ONE takes 4 caps of Novedex anymore LOL
Also, I'd be hesitant to suggest a non steroidal ai. If not used properly, it's likely to exacerbate symptoms upon cessation. Oh wait, it doesn't say that on the bottle so you'll get mad at Femara too
