Carpee's learning how to recomp

Got my recreate today. (TNA too :booty:)

First OEP, Recreate, and Prime workout in about 20 minutes

sweet..yeah been wondering how things been going, you keep us in suspense pretty well.. :shhh:

The sickness took me out for that day, but I've been fine tuning the schedule around classes and things.

I have to go home this weekend, which is actually harder to eat the meals at.

But I'm rockin, haven't seemed to lose any mass only Fat! :smirk:

well scientifically it is impossible to lose fat without losing mass....haha but i catch ur drift bro. Losing fat keeping muscle...sounds like a recomp to me!

How you feeling?

my bad, "without losing LEAN mass"

I feel good. The OEP Recreate combo is sick so far. More in an all out cut mode right now, but versatilely using BCAA's which are helping a lot.

After spring break I'll go back into recomp, with more of an emphasis on gaining. TNA will be introduced : )

Yah I used to think that too, then along came Prime. Actually I could do it in isolated cases before now I can do it any time I like.

haha it was a joke DW, i mean if you really wanna get anal with detail when losing fat you lose Mass( grams to kilograms) but with Prime you also simultaneously gain mass in the form of muscle.

The fact you are reducing adipose tissue means you are in fact losing mass...not weight. Weight is a relative measurement depending on altitude, gravity of planet, etc etc. You can have the same weight and you could have loss and gained mass simultaneously.

I was just being a nerd with my comment haha:439:

Yah I figured ... but a lot of people still think it's true. I ran into that kind of thinking from a young guy at a local supp store. Didn't matter that I was living proof that he was wrong.

Guys my age have to learn something and put our testosterone driven ego aside:

If the man is larger then you, stronger then you, older then you, and has more experience then you...he is right and you are wrong...

That's a good attitude... hey I know I'm not right all the time either and I learn off younger guys sometimes. AM is full of guys in their mid thirties who have a lot of knowledge I have been able to pull from. The guy I was talking about definitely fit into the dumbass category though.

i mean if you got a guy who has been lifting since he was 15 and he is now 35, he has 20 years of experience so he is bound to be able to trade information with a veteran like urself.

But no matter how you cut it, im 22, about to turn 23...ive been lifting since i was 18..for me to assume i can be even remotely in the same ball park as individuals like you, kleen, strat, snag, etc etc...is just beyond pompous stupidity. Therefore there should be an unwritten law that allows u to smack youngins like the one u met in the supp store.

Humility is an awsome weapon for improvement... :439:

I like this guy. :cool2:

i agree.

most guys our age (22-23) just want the fastest way to get "jacked"

I was fortunate enough to stumble into AM early and have since been learning from guys like DW and snag and Kleen.

If the cycle continues, GOhard and I will be that source of knowledge when we are that age :approve:

passing the torch on eh?

well, I'm not quite ready to hang up my spurs just yet.. :squint:

but yeah, you guys got the right attitude for sure..it's such a breath of fresh air seeing that kind of mentality.

I've long ago lost count of the times I've left threads because some younger guy thinks he has all the answers, and spouts off disrespectfully and is argumentative.. :sigh:

you guys keep doing what you're doing..with that kind of thought process, you're right - the cycle will be in great shape. ;)

Since my thread is being revived by these youngins and "post-youngins" I'll give a little update.

I'm in full stride in the diet that was up together snagaliciously.
Getting lean, fast. OEP and Recreate has been stacked since Monday.
This is by far my favorite fat loss stack.

Today I'm traveling home from school for our winter break, if i do not lift today, I have a fall back strategy of utilizing HST style full body workouts to make up for when I miss a day. That will most likely be tomorrow :439:

good to hear. :)
I knew you were gonna make this shine.

I'm excited about spring break and stuff, I mean a week off of school at the beach with friends...it's gonna be fun.

But I'm really excited for the transition state between this diet and introducing carbs.

I'm hoping its shocked into some new lean mass :fest06:

oh yeah man, I fully anticipate you blowing up like a balloon when you make that transition, swole!
the key will be, to make smart food choices coming out of that transition, since you are planning to do a lean bulk.
don't get sloppy. too many guys (myself included - been there :() hit the garbage food intake hard after peaking to a certain point, combination of cravings and just letting loose from restricting things harshly for awhile. and when you are really lean and tight, you can get away with it - for a minute. that's the problem tho - it's real easy to get carried away cuz you think your metabolism is so wired you can eat anything you want anytime.
one day you wake up and BAM! you're bloated and fat.. :eek5:

that's been crossing my mind lately, I'm mentally preparing to STAY disciplined in eating the right things, just more of 'em :haha:
I figure with TNA coming into play, I'll stay disciplined enough because in the back of my mind it won't be like "you can buy more later."
Once TNA is gone, its gone.

you know something that has kind of helped me recently especially now since im not cutting anymore (but i still havent gained a pound b/c ive been very strict with my diet) is i have posted goals for both strength and physique round 3 years in advance.

And im not talking about general goals im talking about very specific and realisic goals that if i deviate too much ill mess up the whole plan. And the diea of messing up whats now been over 6 months of work pushes me to stay focused. And the more time passes the more incentive it is to stay the course.

But now mind u i also have planned to have a less then stellar diet certain days*(keywaord is days...not weeks) to keep my sanity but its all within its limit.

But i tend to be very goal oriented so that doesnt work for everyone...

I like this idea, and have to say within the compartmentalized places in my brain, I do the same thing.

I have a vision of the strength and size I want when I'm say 25.

And I am the same way in eating less than stellarly, for days..not weeks.
I like to incorporate planned all out nasty cheats...like before this cut I had one night of brownies
But it's planned, and its looked forward to. After it passes, i'm right back on course. I used to feel like I'm missing out because friends will go out and eat whatever they want and stuff...and now more and more I feel theyare missing out on being driven to do something with their body.
Not to mention they ask me for advice, which I take as a compliment.

Indeed plan everything your cheats your cardio, weights ... cheats aren't cheats when they're planned they're part of the equation. If you want to keep some kind of sanity you need to let yourself go once in a while. All part of the plan.

indeed.

not to mention throwing something in to piss off the metabolism.
plus those cheat foods always seem to taste so much better when you have them once in a while, rather than living off them...like my college friends do.

BEFORE - this is what happens when you dirty bulk (beginning of December)

In the before pics it was post workout and I was pumped up, the after pics were first thing this morning, flat. I've never had a defined 6-pack but hopefully after spring break I'll get back to recomping and add some size while leaning out more. go easy haha

well you look like you'll be much happier in FL looking like you do now! :D
yep, keep the slimmed down version and let's do a calculated recomp when you get back..enjoy yourself down there bro.

I'm looking forward to that!

Wow Congrats! that is a really good change bro, you got much leaner, how much weight did you drop?

about 20-25 pounds through the recomp and then the cut.

I was standing about 205 in the December pics and am about 180-185.

Ultimately, I'd like to stand about snag's stats of around 200 but very lean.
That is my long term goal.

VERY IMPRESSIVE!!

Good job buddy!

I underestimated the time frame, so I didn't get as lean as I wanted, but I'll do more recomping like I said.

I like DW's outlook that with the right products you can recomp year round making slight changes to add mass or lose body fat

Indeed, especially for guys who have trouble keeping lean. Just so happens that most of those guys have very efficient bodies and are perfect candidates for this kind of lifestyle.
