SilentBob's one month log of Axis Labs HyperTest

this is good news SB

Yes and no. Good news is that I can do cardio. We'll see what happens tomorrow after I do some chest. Here's hoping for more good news.

Narrative:
A lot of information to update you all on. For starters, my back hurts. My back didn't used to hurt. I don't do anything to aggravate my back anymore (heavy squats, deadlifts, overhead presses,) yet I have developed pain in my lower back. I have a disheartening suspicion that it may be due to my chiropractic visits. Anyway, it makes walking, going downstairs, standing up, and other random movements hurt really back in my lower back, left side of spine. I go back on Tuesday, we'll see what he has to say.

Anyway, until today I've been too nervous to even try to run with my back feeling the way it does. I found out that my fear was unwarranted. I had a decent run time tonight.

The Silent One has spoken.

As with the majority of our fears...........unwarranted!!!

We truly have nothing to fear.......but fear itself!!! :smite:

Hey SB great workout. I will be out of the net for a bit while I redeploy back home. Its been a long time since Oct 2008 when I left my family to start this pile of... fun... good luck over the next few weeks bro!!
AG

Ian's still got it :head:..hope the back heals up bro.

Narrative:
It's been a relaxing couple of days. I had Sunday, Monday, and I was SUPPOSED to have today off. But I digress. I don't blame HyperTest for me being as mad as I am about having to work this evening. It's like taking a bone away from a dog.

Anyway, the back is feeling good. I think I might have hurt it in my sleep. Sorry about the lack of updates recently. Acne hasn't flared up anymore, a few random fellas here and there on my shoulders and back, but nothing out of the ordinary.

Improved Body Composition: It'll get cleaned up this week I hope. The holidays are always havoc on diet.
Increases Lean Muscle Mass: I don't think I eat enough to gain weight on this. I haven't lost any muscle mass with all the cardio though.
Strength Gains in the Gym: My workouts have been pretty solid. I've slowly added in sets on the big lifts (bench, pullups, lunges, squats, etc.) because I don't really feel depleted on that exercise just yet. So that's definitely a positive. Nothing like more sets/reps at same/higher weight.

last time i had back problems it turned out to be high creatinine level, it was causing kidneys to hurt like a beatch. i had been using 10gms of creatine mono. cut it out and felt fine. i never go above 5 gms now and cycle off after a month. don't know if you use creatine-just thought i would throw that out there. great log bob.

interesting..awesome updates bro

Yeah Creatine Mono is a major dehydrator, and puts your kidneys through the ringer if you don't double your water intake. That is the only reason I don't really use the mono unless in something else I am taking. I tend to stick with the CEE, it requires less to get the job done and isn't as hard on the kidneys. I don't take it on any day I take Jack3d or AI Essentials + JC which has a good amount of creatine in it.

Agreed! That is what is great about our community here on AM.

Pembroke here at AM who is a rep for AnabolicInnovations sent me 3 products to do a taste test on.

Product #1--Orange Flavored Cycle Support: This mixed very easily in about 5 ounces of water. No lumps like I've heard about with the old formula. And it tasted really, really good. I have heard that the old formula wasn't very tasty.
And I love the ingredient profile. I borrowed it long ago to make my own homemade cycle support. ha ha
Product #2--Vanilla Flavored Whey Protein: This also mixed like a dream. Very smooth and creamy texture. And the taste was outstanding!! I really like this one. I advise you guys to try this one out when it comes up for sale.
Product #3--Chocolate Flavored Whey Protein: Naturally this one mixed as well as the Vanilla. But I'm not a big fan of chocolate flavored whey proteins. I LOVE real chocolate. I just haven't found a whey protein that truly tastes like chocolate IMO. But as far as chocolate whey proteins go, this one tasted very good. Compared to other brands that I have tried in the past (and that's a lot of them) this one rates at least an 8 out of 10.

Now, I don't know how much I'm supposed to reveal about the prices and deals on these, but I was very surprised on the deal they're going to offer with a 5lb. tub of the whey proteins. Incredible deals are forthcoming!!

The deal will be 1 5 lb bag and one of their main products for $59 wich ends up averaging out to a $25 dollar discount between the two products. The chocolate is rich kind of like a mousse isn't it Thunder? Pembroke posted in my review of them so i know it is ok to say.

New Years through mid-end of Feb are my least favorite times of the year. I can't wait for the resolutioners to peter out and get out of my way. Nothing like not being able to get on machines or find a parking spot. Makes me nuts. Luckily I workout at 4:30 in the morning week days. LOL

30 minutes

1-2-10

Incline Bench: 95x12, 135x12, 155x12, 185x7, 195x4

DB Incline Flies: 20x10, 25x10, 30x8, 30x8

Wide Grip Bench: 95x12, 135x10, 155x10, 185x10, 205x4

Cables(Low to High): 15x8, 20x8

Pushups: 30

Narrative:
Got a run in New Years Eve/Day. I didn't get a proper recovery meal in before bed and I suffered all day on the 1st from being carb depleted. It didn't help that I had a mere 35g carbs on New Years Day. Yesterday was better however. In the middle of an 8 day stretch at work which sucks. We let go of someone and now we all have to pick up the slack. Oh well.

Calf Raises: 135x10x5

Squats: 135x10, 135x10

Narrative:

Well, I've got a bit of a situation with Hypertest. I like the strength gains I appear to be getting from the product. However I notice that even after I stopped with the creatine supplementation I am still having a bit of trouble. It isn't the back pain this time, however I'm still kinda dry and it's making going to the bathroom troublesome. My diet hasn't changed, nor has my water intake. I have to believe that it may be the Hypertest that's contributing to my intestinal slow down. I'm gonna soldier through these last days but make a point to consume additional soluble fiber to see if that helps with the irregularity I'm experiencing.

Anyway, good news. 180lb leg curls. Yowza. I haven't done that since I weighed a lot more. Felt really good doing those today.

DVDA - WWBBD?

I ask myself this question every day.

Hey Bob, I take magnesium daily with some b vitamins and it keeps those issues at bay for me. Just adds a little moisture to the area but nothing else and the magnesium is very good for muscular speed, coordination and nerves firing the way they should.

Excellent advice here Mr.Kleen. I used to supplement with extra Calcium, Magnesium, and Potassium years ago after reading an article by powerhouse Franco Columbu. Thinking back I think it really helped. Time to order some more and give it a go now that I'm somewhat older. ha ha

I take extra mag on cardio days too. Perhaps I could just do that every day. Thanks for the idea. I'll probably throw in a few grams of C as well.

and if all else fails maybe a probiotic?

I am looking into some probiotic enzyme treatment for my strain in the gluteals. I think I may give it a shot, I have heard good things about them.

I recommend LHJO to stack with your HyperTest - dems been blowing the back out of their hands on dat shizz!

I can appreciate the humour, however I was in fact a Captain in the Merchant Navy. Richard Arund III, of Dutch decent.:006:

Back to you Bob... Bob? Oh he is being silent again. :D

70lb Weighted Pullup. I almost got the 2nd one, but oh well. 1 is 1.
I'm going to try to get a run in today before work and lift this evening. Increased the C and Mag so we'll see if that helps.

Pretty Maids - Future World

I couldn't find Manticora's version, so the original will work.

Cables(High to Low): 15x10, 20x10, 25x10, 30x6

Pushups: 25

Narrative:
Wednesday I hurt myself during my warmup. Pulled a muscle in my front delt region. Needless to say that I, like a fool, worked through it. What do I mean that I still worked through it? Well...I still did 90lb weighted dips like the retard that I am. Yeah they hurt, I don't want to dwell on it. Moving on.

My workout did suffer from it, but I went home, iced it, and went to bed. The following day it felt fine, but I didn't want to aggravate it. Friday I was just dead to the world tired. I blame not doing anything on Thursday as the reason for my lethargy yesterday.

Anyway, I was fine today. Shoulder felt great. I felt that I had a solid lift. Maybe I could attribute the quick recovery to HyperTest?

KoRn - Freak On A Leash

damn that sh1t sucks man..hope it gets better soon..

..that's some old school shiz right ther

Dude, I am so late on this thread.

Bob, BW +90 man nice dips, hate to hear you pulled something. Hopefully a quick recovery.

On another note, Wondering how Hyped Up I can get on HyperTest? How Pumped I can get about Hemodraulix?

Face Pulls: 35x10, 50x10, 65x8, 80x2+65x6

Narrative:
So yeah, shoulder's fine. Short but solid workout yesterday. I need to try to focus on cardio this week. The recent cold snap I think both consciously and subconsciously has kept me from pounding the pavement. Oh well, grow a pair, and get to work!

Kalmah - The Blind Leader

Day 29 - 1-11-10

Squat: 45x15, 65x12, 95x12, 135x12, 165x12, 195x10, 225x8, 255x6

DB Walking Lunges: 20sx20steps, 25sx20steps, 30sx20steps, 35sx20steps

Narrative:
It felt good to do squats today. Went relatively heavy too. Felt great. I felt like I could have gone higher, but I didn't want to tempt fate by adding any more sets. We'll just start higher next time.

HyperTest
Strength Gains in the Gym: Felt apparent today. High weight/rep on squats and was able to complete high weight/rep walking lunges.

Rodney Carrington - Show Them To Me

I was going to ask how much you have gained but I see tomorrow is your last day so we will get the full review I am sure. Will you have any beginning / end strength increase comparisons?

Day 30 - 1-12-10

AM-
Run!
1 mile warmup on elliptical
1 mile treadmill
CRAMPS
Foam Rollers
1/2 mile treadmill
CRAMPS part deux!

PM-
Pullups: 19, 4(+45lb), 4(+45lb), 4(+45lb), 4(+45lb), 7(+25lb), 10

Cable Rows: 100x10, 120x20, 140x10, 160x10, 180x10

Lat Pulldown: 100x10, 100x10, 100x10, 100x10, 85x10

Pullups: 4

Narrative:
The run this morning SUCKED! I cramped up bad in my quads, I reckon because of leg day last night. Either way, I thought the rollers had done the trick. They didn't. About 5 minutes and a half mile later the cramps in my quads came back with a vengeance. Anyway, a little Midol and some rest and I should be able to get back on the horse. :)

This evening was pretty good. I couldn't pass the 4th rep the 45lb pullups. I came close a few times but close doesn't count. Rows felt pretty good today though.
