Olive oil converts cholesterol more easily into testosterone

The more fat you eat, the more testosterone your body produces. More fat, more testosterone. The best source of testosterone boosting fat, Argentinean researchers concluded a year ago after a study on rats, is olive oil. The same researchers have now published the results of another animal study in Lipids,
which shows how olive oil increases the production of testosterone. Olive oil helps the testes to absorb more cholesterol.

The researchers, working at the Instituto de Investigaciones Bioquimicas de La Plata, did an experiment with male rats. For sixty days, the rats were given feed to which seventy grams of soya oil , olive oil [O], coconut oil [C] or grapeseed oil [G] per kilogram had been added. At the end of the period the researchers measured how much testosterone the animals were producing. The figure below shows that coconut oil and olive oil were the best testosterone boosters.

The testes of the rats that had had olive oil added to their feed were also heavier. Because the grapeseed oil diet produced the same results as the soya oil diet, we have left that column out of the table below.

The Argentineans described how this happens a year ago. Olive oil and coconut oil increase the activity of the 3beta-HSD and 17beta-HSD enzymes. These are involved in the manufacture of testosterone. Olive oil and coconut oil also raise the concentration of the body’s own antioxidants in the Leydig cells, which produce testosterone. In the present study, the researchers went a step further. They found a relationship between the diet, the amount of free cholesterol in the Leydig cells and the testosterone level.

The Leydig cells make testosterone from cholesterol. A diet that is rich in coconut oil or olive oil apparently helps the cells to absorb more cholesterol. The cells are also more able to extract the cholesterol from its ester. The more free cholesterol a Leydig cell has available, and the less estered cholesterol there is in a cell, the higher the rate of testosterone production.

So natural athletes could optimise their testosterone production by making olive oil their main form of fat. Another nutritional strategy that might help is to eat cranberries. Cranberries increase the uptake of cholesterol by the testes.

Any benefit to using Coconut oil versus coconut milk? I think equal parts of coconut oil and olive oil is the best option. Throw in the Krill and you're solid!!
 
I saw the guy suggesting to open your PH's and mix them with olive oil and make a shooter out of it. Now after reading this i think ima gonna just mix the PH powders into my coconut oil and sugar mix instead, probably taste a lil better plus the rest of the pros

macadamia and avocado are lso fine additions. that's my last hint.
 
anyone wonder about animal fats though? coconut oil is saturated, much like animal fats, but animal fats do have one thing over both cocounit and olive oil, cholesterol.

moreover, it's easy to incorporate animal fats. I don't like taking olive oil because if I put it in my shake, then I don't even taste it, it's like extra calories I can't enjoy.

coconut oil I could cook with since it's higher temp, but at the same time, i'd rather just enjoy a fattier piece of beef, perhaps some dark meat chicken, etc.

Thanks...I do too...the next few months are going to be nothing but traveling and selling, so I won't be on quite as much (though AM is an addiction to me, so there go my nights).

it was a "tren" ph, no need if it is methylated.
other non methylated ph should be good as a shooter.
 
Coconut oil also helps the metabolism and energy pretty well.
A dear friend got me hooked on it(she's like 49 and looks like she's 30) and I have not looked back.
I usually use the olive oil with different spices to marinate meat with, but I may just add some shots to my green food vitamin/protein drink.

How much olive oil a day would you guys recommend to just add to shakes?

depends on your goals.
i happen to be bulking and i need the calories. at 140 cals per Tbsp, and i take in 6T a day....i get a great boost and it helps me get over 3K for any given day.
i go extra light because i dont want any taste.

As long as it's cold pressed extra virgin, then you are fine.
 
dsade....i buy the huge-ass cheap stuff at Sam's club. i am cheap by nature.
how will the cold-pressed benefit me?
 
I get my Olive Oil for free so i'm sticking to that.

One thing i noticed when increasing my Olive Oil intake was how quickly my hair and nails grew.....and how much stronger they were.

In fact i'm going low carb for a month starting Monday and just recieved 2 litres of Olive Oil thats 2 days old :thumbsup:

ive noticed that my skin is less dry and that my face is more oilyer
 
This is a very good read, I may have to keep olive oil in a daily diet now. I am focusing less on supps and more an diet controlled health/growth. This seems like a "must" to try.
 
Thanks for post, I just started downing the olive oil to get my cals up to 3500. I had heard it contained great antioxidants and this is just another plus. Best of all it actually makes my protein taste better!

Me to a while back. That's when i found garlic and onions were some pretty good vasodilators. Better than any NO product i've tried.

We evolved quite well without supps!!

I have tried loads of them but only have a handful of staples.

thank you so much bro, but i could not find anything regarding fish oil and testosterone enhancement.

I was not sure if you were asking about the testosterone or muscle building properties. Hence I posted the thread of fish oil supplementation.

But there a few articles online that talks about testosterone output with fish oil supplementation.
 
I believe olive oil also enhances metobolism in that it has a higher thernal effect. Is this true or did I pull this out of my ass?
 
Does anyone have any info on dosages. Please say wether you found the info through trail and error or literature. Also, I would doubt that body weight would affect the dosage very much because this is supposed to be for are testicles.
 
Picked up a bottle of extra virgin olive oil tonight. In fact I have a salmon fillet marinating in Olive Oil with Garlic. :bling:

Try marinating your steak in red wine and olive oil for 1-3 days. :684:
