is SX...

IT was really just yesterday im on 5th day too and other every day except yesterday appetite was controlled but not like gone like it was yesterday. Today and the other 3 days it was controlled but not to the point where i cant even stomach half my meal.

I did find the same thing happening now and again with SX. I've run it for a combined 5-6 months now and have had my share of hungry days. I'm one of those who believe that the body tells us what it needs. If you crave meat, your body is lacking protein. If you crave beef, it could be a lack of iron. If you crave sweets, well.... ;) Some days you just really need to eat and try to regain some calories. As Dreamweaver says, it's not the best for the strict bodybuilder diet, but for many of us who don't follow such a "prescribed plan" of eating, it can still be effective. After all, cheat days are still a good thing for the psyche!

I wonder how many people are burning fat because of the fat burning properties of SX vs losing weight from not eating as much. I am curious about this.

Indeed a good question. The primary mechanisms in SX are NOT a thermogenic "burning" effect, but rather due to the appetite suppression (decreased caloric intake) and increased energy (increased expenditure). Eat less, move more, lose more...the key ingredients to any cut. It plays on these extremely basic principals so well, and that's the key to its success in both terms of popular sales as well as actual success in users. It's something that you can use if you step on stage, or if you're just someone whose daily activity includes laundry, making dinner, and putting the kids to bed. :)

That question, I will be able to answer very soon. I will weigh in tonight and this should answer some of these questions. I am definitely leaner but does it match what the scale says. If I lost more than 2 lbs I will definitely have to concede to some of it being mass. I will be weighing in at exactly the same conditions.

I'm very interested in your take on this. I know that you have your diet and everything nailed down, so I'm willing to guess that if you think you are looking better, it would be fat that you lost. Preaching advice to you would be preaching to the choir, so I won't. ;) Instead, I await those results! Glad you're liking it so far, man. Very glad that you gave it a whirl! :head:

Well I'm down 3 lbs and will concede that at least half of that is probably fat, I will say that some could be water as well. The consensus is, is that there is no sign of muscle loss at this time. I will run it another week and see what happens.

Very interesting. Thanks for that report!! Even if it is a slight loss in muscle mass, which I'm not quite convinced that it is just yet, it's still a marginal loss. For your build, 1-2 lbs of fat off in a week is significant in terms of looks. For me, I think I can poop that much in a day and not see any difference at all.

Definitely keep us updated with your progress and thoughts. Feedback is always important!

The weekly thing is always difficult to troubleshoot. As Tim so kindly put it, a gain or loss of 1-2 is tough to guage because it very well could be just a load of ****. Healthy weightloss averages to about 1-2lbs per week, but that number has a lot of variance. It's typically best to look over a period of a month or two to better determine your progress.

I still would want to monitor what is happening on a weekly basis cuz a month down the line it may be too late to make propper adjustments. I'll just do my best ... yah will see what happens I definitely want to stay in the 1-2 pound range. The first week some of it could have been water.

True. It could be some water. SX isn't really a diuretic, but you could very well lose some waterweight in the beginning. I did, which is always good. :)

is SX... awesome, yes.

I definitely see a use for it. Although I tend to be very disciplined even I have trouble avoiding extra calories sometimes. By and large it's not going to do as much for a guy like me who is generally very disciplined but I definitely could make use of it in certain situations. Contest prep where I have to go by the plan as there is a timeline on when I have to be at a certain weight. I have to force my body to go lower in body fat than I would like to. You can use it during recomp on those days where you know you have more difficulty sticking to your diet. I think stategic use would be the most effective for me. You have to be carefull to really make sure you eat enough during recomp though.

Once I find the perfect intake amount then I will be able to make this work for me the way I want. Recomp works well but it's slow sometimes, this is helping me shed a few pounds.

I like this no BS attitude DW. You use something (sups) only for what or if it is needed. No sugar coating.

I'm finding it particularly effective for studying purposes and improved work product. I've always emphasized SX's mental stim over a physical one. It also keeps me uncharacteristically active, even by the end of the work day. Rather then a sense of physical restlessness, I get more of an insatiable desire to maintain some form of positive productivity (work, workout, academic related).

Yes it is definitely more of a mental thing.. I am defintely more productive at work.
