I'm guessing somewhere between typing out your sets and weights you came to the conclusion that it was much better than "pretty good."

Both.
Finally in TX. Not actually in Dallas, but it is nice to finally be in the state I'll be residing in for at least 5 years.
Worked out in the Hotel fitness room. Not the best workout, but it was decent:
4x15
DB Squats: 30 lb DBs
w/DB Rows: 30 x2, 20, 25 lb DBs
4x8
Step Ups: BW+ 20 lb DBs
w/ DB Bench Press: 35 lbs, 40 lbs, 45 lb x2 DBs
25 minutes on Bicycle
One time, the hotel fitness room I was at only had a a set of 40 pound dumbbells, 25 pound dumbbells, a stair climber, and 2 treadmills.
I got a nice set of 4x50 with the 40's for db bench and 4x30 with the 25's for biceps curls..
:icon_lol:
HIIT always heavily boosts my mood. I love it when I do it!...I haven't done cardio in a loooong time now.- I think I may start getting it in a couple times a week if possible. I may start doing one fasted training session per week (rotating the muscles I hit in the fasted session each week)...maybe I'll do it then.
Are you one of those people that keeps the Elliptical on the low intensity and sprints as hard as you can until the arms comes off the track?![]()
Nope. :28: I bump up the intensity by about 40% when I'm about to do my sprint!
Any jobs lined up?
I've applied to several places out here, and have yet to hear back from anyone. I only applied a couple of days ago so I will need to give it some time.![]()
yeaaa made it into gym, no lifting partner grrr someone needs to be put into place
Ha! yeah. Things just got extremely complicated. Resolve was going to lift with me on his school campus, but when we arrived we found out that he had to pay a fee for bringing anyone other than a student to the gym. It was pretty lame. So he worked out by himself and I drove to my good old 24 hour fitness.
I have been pretty active today. I got in about 4-5 miles of speed walking.![]()
Were you sporting a tie-dye stretch leotard, headband, and perm?
...For some reason "speed walking" reminds me of the 80s. Wasn't it a fad?

oh....
Wait... you were talking to BW! :borladuck:
Hey, didn't I see you while I was walking past the gay bar?![]()
I'm in NM right now. Not a very pretty state.
it's wifi that came with the apartment - 54mbps rather than 11.![]()
No?? Why is that?
Bummer about that workout. I know exactly what you mean about the weak stamina/fatigued feeling. Hopefully you're not getting sick or anything with those aches. That's usually what it means when I get them. Try loading up on some Vitamin C before anything gets worse!
Off topic: I just had an old buddy call me up and tell me he's living in Dallas now! Ha! He's a pretty stout dude...infact that's what we call him...Stout. He's about 5'9", 230lbs, ~7% bf. I wonder what gym he goes to.
That's great! There is a dude that goes to our 24 hour fitness that meets that description perfectly! How old is he?
26 I think.
And we got to crack open a new tub of purple wraath today - I always enjoy opening a new supp...
My supps go quick enough as it is! I can't imagine sharing with a Purple Wraath fiend like BW. ha
I've come to the conclusion that the best rep range for me to recomp is 3-8. I just see such amazing results all the way around when I stick with this! Adding Sprints is helping me a ton with Fat loss right now too.
That's awesome to hear, BW! I'm happy you're making such great progress. I love the low rep range as well, but it's brutal on my body after a while. Hopefully I'll be able to get back to it in time. This back is very slow to heal. It seems to be getting better, but nowhere close to where it needs to be.

Today is BW's first day at a new job!
Hope it goes well for you, lady!![]()
You were too darn quick - you were all done before I even got to the cardio equipment!
How did you work out the eating schedule while at work? Do you get multiple breaks? Short shifts? I'm always curious about that. I'm very happy I've found a good method at my job.![]()
I was only doing training on a company computer, so I was able to pull my food out while I was taking the class and quizes online. It was nice! The managers were all interested in my blueberry/yogurt/protein powder mix. I don't actually start working on the grocery floor until later this week after orientation and all else.
Ah! Well I hope it works out great for you! I'm always worried when starting a new job; I always think I won't be able to get my meals in, but fortunately I haven't really had any problems. I just make sure they see I'm a good worker, and they usually don't mind.
Like at Under Armour, I usually get to the store about 15mins early and eat a meal, then clock in...about 2.5hrs after that, I toss another meal in the microwave and eat that while I'm doing some product processing in the back...2.5-3hrs after that I take my break and slam another meal. Then, when we shut the store down and all the customers leave, I take out another meal and eat that while I'm straightening my section up...I've already earned quite a reputation. - I got to work yesterday and my boss jokingly said, "Alright Scott, grab something to eat. We'll see you in a few minutes."
Haha! Yeah, I don't think it will be such a problem for me to eat. I'm on intermittent fasting right now anyway, so I don't have to eat that many meals. I'll be a cashier, so I'll likely be pretty busy throughout the day. IF makes things more convenient.
