In fact almost exactly because a couple night I had sleep issues, and then I was good from there on out. Are you taking your pills slightly earlier? I will basically not even wake up with out a pill right away haha. Next thing I know im doing cardio. Gez dude, you have a lot of subs on yours, wheres the love guys?

The sleep issue is definately a thing of the past and now I am sleeping great and pissed at the alarm clock every morning. I take one pill around 7:30AM (first thing in the AM) and the next around 11AM (before lunch). Are you having any stomach issues?

I typically bring along all mah homies when I run my various logs. They know I will support them back so it all works out. It keeps the logs entertaining as well!!!!!

Day 5

Starting Weight: 198lbs

Starting Measurements: Waist 36.75" Belly over belly button: 37.5"

Observations:

Same story on appetite control. I have not been going nuts snacking and such like I was before. Still getting an energy boost, but it is not a major one.

What are the thoughts on when/if I should up the dosage?

I guess you can call yesterday a cheat day since I had vendors in town and they like to entertain me. I like to be entertained so it kinda works out.

Supplements
Lean Fuel Extreme @ 2 caps/day (one AM, one around 11AM)
Whey Protein
Multi Vitamin
Xtend on workout Days
Fish Oil @ 9 caps (I upped the dosage because my joints are sore)
Fiber Chewables

Food today:
7:30AM 40g Protein Shake
McDonalds Bacon/Egg McMuffin.
Lunch consisted of a Fajita Chicken Wrap (It had a flour tortilla so it wasn't healthy I am sure) and I had a couple of the cheese fries.
No Afternoon Snack due to meetings.
Dinner consisted of a 6 oz tenderloin and lobster tail with veggies (mmmm that was good!) I think I had 4 beers last night. I try to limit alchohol/beer, but I have to partake every now and then.

Negatives:
Still getting a little stomach cramping and dropping bombs like hiroshima. Not sure the second part is a bad thing, but times with other diet pills I can go days between.:684:

I plan to skip lunch today and work out. If not I will be leaving work early to work out and I will be getting my cardio in. :684:

The kids love McCrap. I heard egg mcmuffins were pretty good for a fast food breakfast, but I am learning that most of my thoughts about diet and food are fuggin incorrect.

The kids! You've got to get that idea out of their head early! The only time my kids have been in a McBubbleGuts was to use their playscape and make a doodie. Otherwise, steer clear.
It is tough to resist though. It quiets them up and is cheap. But the food! Horrible!
I hear you on what we think is healthy though. That diet bizz is tough to master. But I'm fairly certain that you are on the right track.

Let's call it a "Back to Reality" day

Thx for giving me hell guys. I need it and it is why I plan to be honest througout this log. There are some things I am doing food wise that I think/thought was right. Sometimes I also cave to temptation and need to stop doing that as well!

NO problem brother! We all appreciate the honesty and will do what it takes to get you where you need to be. You are literally "this close". We are all human though, remember that

I used to hit McCrack (and other fast food places) all the time just because it was convenient. Limited time for a meal and there it was. But I completely stopped going a few months ago and now nothing they have there interests me. If you can weed that stuff out of your system you will probably never go back to it.

Keep up the good work!

Typically I avoid it, but anytime the Kids get to choose we go there. I typically get a Premium Grilled Chicken Ranch BLT Sandwich:
CaL: 470
Fat: 12g
Sodium: Tons (1440mg)
Carbs: 54g
Protein: 36g

Then instead of fries I get the fruit and yogurt parfait. I know there are better meals out there, but I got to keep the kids happy and they are all string beans so far. Don't get me wrong....I hate McDonalds food!

Well it certainly looks like you are trying to make the best food decisions based on your available options. It's definitely not easy when you have the external pressures of family, work, etc...

Kids... oh to have that metabolism again...

Almost half if not more of that fat is Trans. :worried:

You could always go for them and not eat right then, fix something quick at home.

The thought process is there Silver and that is a big part. Like BigPR said: "You are right there" champ.

We are all in this thing together and I think it shows with the support and hell we all lay on each other. But human break downs are bound to happen. But to not make it a habit is key. You are right there. Keep at it!

seriously, it is wasted on the young

Mostly I do Silver. I will have a steak/egg burrito every now and then though!

Today was a good and bad day.

Good: I just saw The Hangover and I don't remeber ever seeing a funnier movie. GD I was rolling the entire movie.

Bad: I think I tweaked my back again. I was doing bent over barbell rows and around rep 4 I had the same pain that I experienced before and now I get the same soreness that I had a few months ago. I am fukkin pissed because I thought I was over this crap finally. Maybe this weight lifting is not for me and I need to get into crochet.

Sorry for the rant, but I just want to be healthy so I can accomplish the goals I have set forth.

I did finish upper back work, some cable rows and finished with 25 min on the elliptical. Better update coming tomorrow after the gym...hopefully!

I think it is natural to lose your mind and cheat once in a while. We are stupid animals. But I only eat that if it is the ultimate only last thing. Any other option is before. I think the last time I had it was about 3 years ago on the highway. On and off for gas and a McBellyAche. Felt like garbage the rest of the ride home. But the wife was prego and wanted the Fries. Can't fight that demon.

And take care of that back big dog. You've made such progress so don't rush back into things that are going to directly or indirectly tweak that back area. And I can imagine the frustration because you thought you were passed the injury. I can relate. You think its steps forward but then it snaps you back. I would think staying in a modified rehab routine for the back for a good while would be a good thing. Then add in some lighter back stuff. I would just hate to see you get injured again and then not be able to do anything.
Stay on the positive mind frame and make good decisons moving forward. I may speak for everyone and say we are behind you, in a non homo sort of way.

Matty said it. Do what you can, but go easy on the back. If mine's bothering me, I just do slow hypers or even better, lots of abdominal work, which works the lower back indirectly and helps to aleviate some pain from the opposing lower back muscles.

Remember that the diet at this point is the thing that's gonna give you the best results anyway, the gym is great and fun, but that hard gym work will show after the diet has had its effect.

And sure, we all f**k up sometimes. But it's a big picture thing. Not every day has to be perfect when you live this as a lifestyle. If you were cutting down for a show, and had to lose 50 lbs of offseason weight, I'd say there's a lot less room for error. But theres not a REAL time limit here. If you miss your goal by a few weeks, just diet longer. No worries.

If the diet is a problem as far as volume and guessing how many cals are in your food, here's one possible solution of many: Make a diet that covers the macros and eat the same thing, every day for a certain period, say 12 weeks or until you reach a certain weight or BF%. Yes, the food boredom sucks a bit, but you know what you're eating every day. And you can adjust up or down, depending on your goals. I do a zig-zag diet this way and it works well.

Silver these guys are right. There honestly isn't a reason for super huge weights. You need to do a weight that is not too easy but not too hard and rock out for some high reps. Give that back time to heal this way.

Hey man, cant remember if i responded or not, but I had a few stomach issues. I wouldn't say they were bad though. To me taking huge dumps means getting rid of lbs hahaha. It happend to me the first few days, but I never really have anythying out of the ordinary now. I am curious to see how much you lose your 1st week. Hope its more than my 1st 2 weeks combined haha

Day 6

Starting Weight: 198lbs
Will post updated weight tomorrow and I know it is lower ;-)

Starting Measurements: Waist 36.75" Belly over belly button: 37.5"

Observations:

As I stated in an above post I tweaked my back again. I initially tore my L4/L5 disk in Feb and since have received 2 spinal injections. The second one made me pain free and I thought I was back in full force. In fact I tried dead lifting 2 weeks ago with 135 and felt good after. Then I went up to 175 last Sunday and the back was sore, but not the same type. Then yesterday I was doing barbell rows and it is like someone flipped the back soreness switch and the pain came back.

Supplements
Lean Fuel Extreme @ 2 caps/day (one AM, one around 11AM)
Whey Protein
Multi Vitamin
Xtend on workout Days
Fish Oil @ 9 caps (I upped the dosage because my joints are sore)
Fiber Chewables

Food today:
30g Protein shake
Oatmeal with pecans
Lunch consisted of a Chicken Fajitas (I only had one small tortilla and basically ate the rest as seasoned chicken breast).
No Afternoon Snack due to meetings.
Prior to workout I drank part of my 40g protein shake and then sipped the rest of it intra-workout
Dinner consisted of grilled Tilapia and grilled veggies.

Negatives:
Still some occasional cramps, but it is nothing that is major or prevents anything.

Yesterday's workout was cut short due to it being back day and tweaking my back so I finished up with 25 minutes on the elliptical. No complaints with the product at all so far!

Lookn good man. Lookn forward to today's weigh in

Lookn good man. Lookn forward to today's weigh in

Let me state that for some reason I did not take a dump of fri or sat. I weighed in at 196lbs this AM. Then I ate breakfast and had my protein shake and that pushed it through. Just for the heck on it I will weigh in tomorrow to see if there are any differences.

Regardless, I am happy with a 2lb loss in a week considering I had a decent cheat day and missed my extra cardio days.

Day 7

Starting Weight: 198lbs
Day 7 Weight: 196lbs

Starting Measurements: Waist 36.75" Belly over belly button: 37.5"

Observations:

The appitite suppression aspect of this was really challenged yesterday and it went pretty well. It was my Son's birthday party and I avoided stuffing my face with pizza (did have one peice only) and skipped out on the birthday cake. I also stayed away from the beer and yummy cookies later that day that the other were enjoying. Instead I had a protein shake for my dessert. LOL

Lean Fuel Extreme @ 2 caps/day (one AM, one around 11AM)
Whey Protein
Multi Vitamin
Xtend on workout Days
Fish Oil @ 9 caps (I upped the dosage because my joints are sore)
Fiber Chewables

Food today:
30g Protein shake
Small bowl of cereal with skim milk.
Workout consisted of 34 minutes on the elliptical (skipped leg workout due to my back)
30g Protein shake
Lunch consisted of Turkey, cheese and fat free ranch on a whole wheat wrap.
I did cave and have one peice of pizza.
Dinner consisted of grilled pot roast.
Dessert was another protein shake.

Negatives:

No cramps yesterday. For the most part they are just a random occurrence.

Other Notes:

Today I upped the dose to 3 caps per day. I took 2 first thing this AM and the second one around 11:45AM. Lets see how that treats me. I was pretty happy about the 2lb drop in weight and I am now down to pre-vacation weight. I plan to really concentrate on the diet and I would love to be 190 by a July 4th swim party. That would be suhweet!!!

looking good silver, glad to see that the weight is slowly (best way IMO) making the move downward

Day 7

Way to be Silver. It's those times where everyone around us is indulging that it's the hardest to keep to our goals. Keep up the hard work bud!

Great self control at the B-Day party! Had my son's party today and ate tons of chips, Texas style brisket and cream cake.

Money says it all Silver. That is great will power to achieve your goals right there. Pizza and cake to be tempted with? So unfair! But you have to be that Dad and do the family thing. Good for you. Keep it up!

Day 8

Starting Weight: 198lbs
Day 7 Weight: 196lbs

Starting Measurements: Waist 36.75" Belly over belly button: 37.5"

Observations:

Dang will family events quit popping up? It is making the diet more painful. I am glad to be running LFE during this time for added appetite control and extra fat burning capabilities. It was put to the test over the weekend and passed the tests pretty well.

Lean Fuel Extreme @ 3 caps/day (2 AM, one around 11AM)
Whey Protein
Multi Vitamin
Xtend on workout Days
Fish Oil @ 9 caps (I upped the dosage because my joints are sore)

Food today:
30g Protein shake
Oatmeal with pecans.
30g Protein shake
Went to my favorite mexican food joint for lunch. I had maybe 6 -8 chips (I was getting damn hungry by the time food came) and chicken fajitas. I did have one flour and one corn tortilla with my fajitas and ate the rest as meat along. I did skip the margarita that was calling my name.
Dinner with my Dad consisted of a big ass filet, baked potatoe and mixed veggies.
Dessert was strawberries and angel food cake with fat free whip cream.

Negatives:

No cramps lately. No further sleep issues except for the sore back.

Other Notes:

I like the 3 caps per day and it seems to be more effective for me at this weight.

Day 9

Starting Weight: 198lbs
Day 7 Weight: 196lbs

Starting Measurements: Waist 36.75" Belly over belly button: 37.5"

Observations:

I am going to give a little tease today. I was walking by the scale this AM and got on it. I was estatic with what it said. Now I am challenging myself to keep my weight below this number. It was a testimate to how good I did on my diet yesterday (for me at least).

Whey Protein
Multi Vitamin
Xtend on workout Days
Fish Oil @ 9 caps (I upped the dosage because my joints are sore)
Fiber Chewables

Food today:
30g Protein shake
Oatmeal with pecans.
30g Protein shake pre-workout
Lunch was a Boston Market rotisserie chicken breast (no skin), mixed veggies and new potatoes.
40 gram Lean Protein shake on the way home from work.
I was not very hungry for dinner so I ate a chicken breast with a slice of pepperjack cheese on top.
Dessert was a sugar free jello pudding.

Negatives:

No cramps lately. No further sleep issues except for the sore back.

Other Notes:

I was excited about what the scale says, but I have to make sure that I keep that as my new high weight. I unfortunately have a a tendency to celebrate my weight loss with a cheat day and screw up my progress. That won't happen this time.

You got this Silver!! Celebrate with a clean day bubba.

Day 8 was already a cheat day...

Yeah...I know I ate more than I should have on Sunday and I am not going keep that up. I am locking it down this week. No more family functions until July 4th so I should have the temptation reduced. I don't think I will be the type to avoid all temptation and I will be extremely happy with 2lbs per week and getting close to the 185lb mark by the end of this run. If I can do that I am really looking forward to my results after The One which has shown a propensity to lean folks out.

Hell, if I get down to 185lbs Buster might make fun of me for being so small and running dem steroids.
