Timber's Epi Smash

GROW YOUR CALVES

Calves are one of the most stubborn if not the most stubborn bodyparts to increase in size, countless episodes of training, trying new methods, and what do you get, just painfull calves, well this routine will get some growth into those stubborn muscles, this is a very well used routine in russia, and its the most effective ive used, and here it is...

First donkey raises, the ones where you sit down and push the weight up with your calves, find a weight you can only do 5-7 reps with, now do those reps until falure, perfect form. Once youve done that rest for a few and i mean a FEW seconds, and push out 1-2 more or however many you can do, keep going like this until you get to 75 reps, never resting for more than 10 seconds in between.
This takes 4-6 minutes to finish, and in that time you will have hit the deep muscle belly of you calve, the slow twitch endurance fibers, and the explosive fast twitch fibers.
After this set is done stretch fully, for upto 10 minutes to help your calves recover, then repeat this time until you get to 45 reps.

These will make your calves grow, stop you from walking, and give you a good excuse to put your feet up and have a well earned rest.

I dig this.

That will torch your calves IC!

It is the most painful thing I have ever attempted in a gym. I got through the 75, and didn't even want to try the next 45.

Just murdered my legs - pulled off a nice widow maker at 185... which isn't a lot, but its great considering I'm only eating 50g of complex carbs each day. After my workout I weighed 189... very surprised. I look quite a bit leaner, but I'm managing to keep my weight at an acceptable level.

Also did Russian's calf routine... Jesus that hurts.
Important thing is to keep your sanity at an acceptable level ! :)

 no such thing as too much coffee ;) Invalid Link Removed Invalid Link Removed Invalid Link Removed Invalid Link Removed Invalid Link Removed Invalid Link Removed Invalid Link Removed

Actually DFly, you might enjoy this... but my favorite coffee at home is from Starbucks... It's called Komono Dragon. Very strong and dark... So just like you / except not dark.

Man, I can't stand the coffee at Starbucks, but I've never had that kind either. I've never seen it available around here. I'll be sure to keep my eye out for it. I love the dark roasts.

Its in the bags you brew at home. I don't like how they brew their either, but they do have some good beans from time to time. I also like Cali Gold Coast or something like that.

Is that a light roast? My favorite light roast beans are Kona beans. I order my stuff from New Mexico, but if I get it at the store, I've actually found that the Dunkin' Donuts beans are the best.

I actually never went to a Starbucks until last year in Germany. Go figure

Good for you, dude. That place is a rip off, and their coffee isn't that good, assuming you just get the regular black coffee. I actually want to get up to Seattle and get the full experience of coffee shops. Hopefully I'll get up there before too long.

Totally. Starbucks has ruined people's taste for coffee. We have a "Starbucks" blend brewer at work, and it tastes TERRIBLE. But everyone loves it because it's Starbucks... Everyone thinks coffee should taste burnt and bitter. Wrong.

We have a great local roaster here in Nashville that I buy from all the time. Times are tough for them right now, so I buy a shitload and bring it to work for my coworkers. At first, people thought something was wrong with it, but now they are realizing it's the Starbucks beans that is wrong. Fresh roasted (I'm talking like a 1-5 days old, that's FRESH!) coffee is not so bitter you must dump sugar and creamer in just to bet it past your gag reflexes...

A man that knows his coffee.

I'll drink free coffee regardless and not complain, but I definitely prefer the good stuff. :D

Does your local shop have an online site? I'm always searching for new places to try beans from.

Occasionally my sister will send me some beans from her coffee shop in Omaha. It's called The Village Grinder; they've got the BEST snickerdoodle beans I've ever had.

ive done something similar to this but not quite as intense.....im doing the dc protocol now where you get a full 15 second stretch at the bottom of every rep....thats pretty killer too

edit: azmidlyf is that your daughter in your avi? cute pic

People think I'm trying to be funny when I say I prefer 711's coffee over Starbucks. I'm not...

That said, I don't think I've ever had coffee that wasn't at least bitter in of itself. I'd probably lose my mind if I tasted this stuff you're talking about.

I will not say they are the best I've had, but they are the best available around here. I also love buying from them as they are great people: Invalid Link Removed Note: The site isn't much, and I've never purchased over the net from them.

Our very own poison is a roaster too! I've not purchased from him yet, but this guy knows his sh*t: Invalid Link Removed

Thanks for the links, Teg.

IC: Snickerdoodle?! I haven't had flavored beans in quite a while, and that might be a tasty diversion. I've been laying off the coffee altogether as I'm already taking in 200mg x2ED with my ECAlphaBurn Ridiculocut Stack (hey, that's kinda catchy...). My coffee cravings are almost as strong as my sweet tooth pangs... I LOVE the taste of good coffee, and just don't drink it if it's bad :)

I take the decaffinated route when I'm on stim's. I loves me coffee.

... you know, I feel silly for saying this: I truthfully did not think of that. :684:

I've been a publicly anti-decaf coffee drinker for so long, that even when it made sense it still wasn't an option, lol. My avoidance of decaf came from the fact that I had zero stims/caffeine in my diet for so long that I felt it was a travesty to alter the coffee in that way. Well, now there is a reason.

Thank you for reminding me of this alternative. Now I'm going to sneak some decaf while my coworkers aren't looking...

I like my coffee like I like my women. Strong, hot, sweet, and then I put in lots of "cream". :bukkake::hump:

There is a coffee place close to where I work (Medical Research Center) and it is called THERAPY. How appropriate, cause you do need therapy after their coffee Invalid Link Removed

Same here, we have a fancy coffee machine at work (cause people got sick of THERAPY ^^) and I use my own ground beans to make coffee, rather than "communal" beans. Well someone discovered my secret coffee hiding place so this morning half of the packet was gone....whoever did that should have thought better....Invalid Link Removed

Yeah, and I find buster's lack of faith quite disturbing!!!
Now if only I could choke him out telekinetically using the force!! :dead1:

So true. Is this setting some sort of record for length?

Not even close. I want to say that TG went to 100 pages on the Mad Methyl, but I'm not sure.

I may start an all natty perpetual log soon... Hopefully we can shatter records on that b*tch. This one is really completely off topic anymore.
