Is Pork out of the question?

I love the PIG! You can eat everything but the hair.....from the rooter to the tooter! But all I see is chicken or tuna. So I guess a good muscle building diet has no room for a center cut pork chop, smothered with onions & peppers. A slow sizzle over an applewood fire. Fresh garden pulled cob of corn laying next to it. OMG....I gotta stop!
:bruce3:

Protein-wise, I was under the impression it was inferior to beef, and took longer to digest.

But daaayem it tastes good - closest thing to human flesh apparently :bandit:

Chicken and tuna are both fairly cheap and very high in protein which is the reason you hear about it the most and its also delicious . But theirs never anything wrong with pork, grub down.

ANything with Rib in it is way too fat-ning for you. Pork Ribs, Ribeye, Anything that attaches to the ribs is much fat in it. Stay away if you are dieting.

As long as it fits into your diet calorie wise and fat wise, you will be fine.
Like LM use to say, you can get ripped on table sugar if your calories aren't too high.

The only pork I eat are centre-cut chops, and the tenderloin. Actually the tenderloin is super cheap, and almost as lean as chicken breast. It makes for a nice switcharoo!

Same here, most of the fat is on the outer ring of the pork and can be cut off quite easily. The meat itself is pretty lean and tastes great, gives your taste buds a much-needed break.

only for cheat meals  . . . but in any case, I'd rather have an overdose of fat than sugar any day of the week :bandit:

I know they're bad, but bbq ribs . . . . .

OMG.....I'm Slobbering! This thread has turned into "PORK PORN"!!!! I do work a strict diet, but on occassion I hafta have it. I just make sure the fat is trimmed & I grill it....either charcoal or Foreman.

Wat kind of man in there right mind would do that brah lol but i got ribs one time that had little sauce and it tasted like beef jerky

Its all on how you do it meng. I always boil mine first then in the oven or on to the bbq, with salt, pepper crushed garlic and paprika maybe some cayenne. Finsh with lemon juice...Its good. There are ways to make healthy bbq sauce though.
2 C no salt added
tomato paste
1 cup water
Sugar substitute or honey to taste
1/2 Cup vinegar
1 onion, chopped
1 stalk celery, chopped
2 Tbsp. olive oil
pinch basil, crushed
pinch tarragon,
crushed garlic to taste
pinch freshly ground
black pepper
Tamarin sauce to taste
then Worcestershire sauce or liquid smoke to taste
blend it all up, taste see if you want it spicier, sweeter etc.
Then enjoy :biglaugh:

Found this @ T-Nation. Very Good.

Ingredients:

Pork Tenderloins
Olive oil (not extra virgin)
Salt
Fresh Ground Pepper

Method:

1. Preheat grill med/high or preheat oven to 400 degrees.

2. Rub tenderloins with olive oil, salt and pepper liberally all over the outside on all sides.

3. Grill or Roast for about 18-20 minutes. It takes about 12-15 minutes per pound and most tenderloins weigh a little over a pound, so they don't take long to cook.

4. Let the tenderloins REST without touching them for at least 10-15 minutes after cooking. This will insure that they stay juicy and continue to cook for a few minutes after pulling them off the grill or out of the oven.

Per ounce of pork tenderloin:

Calories 48
Fat 2 g
Carbohydrates 0g
Protein 8 g

BTW if you hunt wild boar yourself you can make some great healthy pork products, much lower fat content. eg apple smoked wild boar bacon is the cats ass. :bandit:

btw - I just brought 3 racks of ribs for my cheat meal tonight . . .:bandit:

Yo Cfour!! Just fit it into the diet tracker above and it's all good!! Pork chops............................mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

If you have a rotisserie on your bbg grill (I do  ) cook the pork loin roast on it. You don't even have to have spices to make it deelicious!

recipe that i love.........

thin cut lean pork chops
panko break crumbs
eggwash
lipton onion soup mix
olive oil

take chops...place in eggwash....dip in panko breadcrumbs. Pan fry in a touch of olive oil for a few.......then place the fried chops in a bath of lipton soup mix and let it simmer for 1 hour. You dont even know how good / healthy this is.

I recently ordered the grinder attachment for my mixer, and plan on doing both some sausages (yum!) but also doing mixed ground meats. so getting some lean pork tenderloin and grinding it with chicken breast and maybe even fish like tilapia to add more protein, a mix of aminos and cut down on fattiness even further.

I didnt want to spoil the bubble.

Pigs are smarter than dogs.

But we dont eat dogs.

Funny.

I'll tell you one thing, I love pork untill I visited a friends pig farm in Iowa. I will stick to deer, elk and buffalo. God, I miss pork chops.

I dig the pig , can't help it. Which part of the human do you think would make the choice cut ? :burger::01:

Where the hell did you hear this? Lol

Lots of aspiring tattoo artists will use pigskin to practice on if they are just learning . I think specifically the ears-could be mistaken on that part though . also I watch a lot of Mythbusters on the Discovery Channel and as far as animals go they use nothing but pig parts for a human analog in their tests .

PORK PORN!!!! SEXXXXXYYYYY!!!! Now that's a NICE pair, don't u think?

Just because ballistically it makes a comparable stand in for a human and how flesh reacts to bullets does not mean the taste is anything similar. That is a freaky notion in itself :paranoid:

There are good, lean cuts of pork. I eat a fair amount of lean, deli cut smoked ham on rye for my meals. 10gram of protein/serving at 60 cals.
