First in after food pic.....

:D

Day #29
First month almost in the books..feeling great again here this morning, hitting my training shortly. Couple odds & ends..weight upon rising was 200.1, appear to have lost the waterweight from my cheat day, ready to get my slice on..Breakfast was kinda cool this morning, had me some Coco Wheats (200cals/40g carbs), large banana, 1 scoop Isopure, 5oz 96% lean beef, fronted by AP (I am missing my Pslin immensely)..energy rebound & disappearance of that ridiculous lethargy is nice [big sigh of relief]; that was starting to worry me. Haven't changed anything, other than going off product X for those couple days and running out of Pslin..still don't have the cause pinpointed.. Really digging this combo of SnacLite Power PB (stuff's the shizz! ;)) and EVCO, 1/2TBS of each (or 1TBS each, depending on my macro requirements), eat 'em together and the taste is off the chain! :lick:

wow we are already a month into this....time is flying(not complaining I am trying to finish this last week and a half of school..)

Awesome shoulder/abs day, dem delts are smoked! :smokin: Ahh wait, not that kind of smoked.. :lmao: Speaking of smoking (I tread lightly here since this whole issue is now behind us, not trying to rehash anything y'know! ).. I couldn't get to sleep last night right away, so I was flipping around the channels and saw this movie called Super High Me, yep inspired by that SuperSize Me flick.. It was cool..you guys out in Cali are sure living the high life, ahaa.. Los Ganjales, dig it..

On a more serious note, some clarification on my last entry, re. pinpointing the cause of my lethargy..I'm taking that stance, because I can't single any one thing out as the cause and I believe it was just a combo of issues and, well, just one of them things.. overtraining had the biggest part, but I'm still puzzled as to why O/T was coming into play..I've done much more volume of work at other times in my life for longer durations, and never felt like that before.
Well, as long as it's gone & remains so, I'm a happy camper.. :D

Coconut PB sounds awesome!!

Nice! If you're ever in my neck of the woods, swing on by bro -- meal's on da house! :D

:woohoo:

Hey Snag, does that Isopure have aspartame in it? I remember I used to drink that stuff back in the day, but it would always leave my stomach in knots. :saw:

Nope, both the zero-carb powder and the bottled drinks use sucralose for the sweetener. I don't have any issues with Isopure, digestion or otherwise, love the stuff! I don't use it exclusively or excessively..I guess if I wanted to be picky, it's a pretty bland-tasting protein, but I usually mix it with some other form of protein of the same flav, so it gives it a boost.
Love adding it Beverly Ultra Size or a scoop of Monster Milk..
I'm a mad chemist when it comes to mixing & matching protein powders!:afro:

Good stuff. I know they used to use aspartame way back when, so I've always avoided it thinking they still used it. Good to know.

Day #30
And April roars out Lion!! :aargh: Awesome back session this morning, energy flowing fiercely, pace was good, strength on..order of the day went a lil like this: bent BB rows, underhand pulldowns to front, seated pulleys (long bar + single-arm), light rack deads, and some calves. Intentionally avoided pull-up bar today, hence the pulldowns (I don't do these often). 60sec rests thruout. Sweat was rolling even on a cool morning in my garage..just a great session.
I'm gonna try something new for preWO, picked up some ON Threshold to run, got a smoking deal on it. I was thinking about Poseidon or looking in to Ultima (this was when the lethargy was kicking my azz :dead:), but man for $10 I can't pass up checking this out. Throwing it in the mix on the morrow..

Poseidon ****s me up bad!!! I get completely flushed from head to toe, my blood itches, I can't stop scratching, and it just irritates me to hell. **** makes me feel like a heroin addict. :crackhead:

Yah I have to pick up something to deal with water in the muscles also, I used cytosport last year ... it was ok. I have heard good things about poesidin but ordering powders with any kind of volume may increase the cost of shipping making it kind of expensive I'll look into it though.

Haha, yeah I remember the first time I took it, I dosed too much and ZING! :crackhead: is right. Then I low-dosed it for the next couple days and was cool. Something you really have to break in in a controlled fashion. I could def tell a diff when I was using it tho, liked it a lot.
Threshold is not as comprehensive, has magnesium/phosphorous/sodium/potassium with BA and l-histidine, 75 servings per jar.

I may eventually try low dosing it to see if I can break into it slowly like you're saying, but I'm not too sure when cuz I'm still pretty traumatized from the experience.

Would the niacin be causing that feeling Snag? I've read that it gives a pretty good flush when consuming it. I have been looking at poseidon for a while but, I just end up never getting it.

I think the electrolyte mix pushes the niacin impact for sure. I've taken more than 75mg of niacin before w/ no flushing. My first dose of this stuff had me looking like a lobster! :bigeyes2:

Poseidon is some good stuff! Hydration FTW! :D

I think I have to give poseidon a shot...

Oh man niacin gets me going. I took some the first time and took way to much. i seriously thought there was a chance icould die for a little bit. It was some intense heat. My friends were dying laughing so at least somebody laughed:bigok:

Right here dude.. :biglaugh:
I had an extended USP demo to run yesterday out in Lafayette (land of Purdue Boilermakers). With driving included, it was an all-day gig. Had time to get a workout in before I went tho! :D Nailed some bi/tri/abs, had a great pump going on..felt full and pumped all day long in fact, it was awesome! Altho I was tempted to grab some off-diet food with the travel, I stuck to my pre-made packed menu I took along. Dialing in the macros, going to drop to 3000 cals and do a steady weekly descent.

Update pic..finally got a few minutes to mow the yard (haha, shave the chest that is) and see what's laying beneath all that fur.

That's funny...you shave your chest and I actually did mow my lawn! Looking good as always Snag!

Snag-o-pump, you are truly a beast! :scared:
I say that with all honesty.
Great work, man; dedication is not something that skipped over you. Keep at it, my friend.
:biglaugh:

I gotta attack my lawn tomorrow myself. :sigh:

:thanks: :006:

..and in all honesty back brother -- much appreciation for the recognition! ;)
Keep at it, my friend.
:biglaugh:
And you know this! :cool2:

Played 2hrs of tennis this morning, felt great out there, was moving well, making all my shots, serve was on..just one of them days where everything is jelling. Feeling the pounding I gave my legs earlier now tho, and it's almost time to get some baseball on.. :684:

All that activity; definitely no extra cardio needed when you're doing that much activity. Glad to hear your serve has come back; just takes a bit of practice to work off the rust.

Man, I've been meaning to get to the batting cages lately. I'm gonna need to get on that one of these days, it's been a while.

Oh for sure bro, my 3k caloric intake is still a deficit with all this running around, cutting it up as we speak! :wave2:
I love it when my serve is rolling..if my mechanics get the least bit out of whack, it becomes a frustrating day no doubt..

Do it to it bro! Hellz yes..I haven't been to the cages for awhile myself, lucky I have live arms to face some BP, but I love me some cage work too! :)

Monday, May 4 -- Day #34
Despite feeling fatigued in my wheels after the active w/e, decided to hit squats this morning, I've got some baseball practices/games later in the week and want legs to be fresh for that, so..
BB squats 5x10 ATG, calves, incline DB flyes, lateral raises were the order of the day. Altho I still feel doing 1 basic bodypart a day is the smartest strategy right now, I'm intrigued by the final month of the Freak protocol and have decided to run it (with my own modifications) for the time being..
After work, mowed my yard & spread some fertilizer, 2hrs worth of fun! :dead:

Tuesday, May 5 -- Day #35
OMG are my legs sore this morning! Whole body's sore actually.. I LOVE IT! :lick: Hahaaa..
Pull-ups (A1) and decline close-grip BB bench (A2) in 3x10 format, then 3x8-4-4 in DC format, followed by 4x10 straight sets DB hammer incline curls.. PUMPED! :28:

Snag, you did 3 sets of (8-4-4) for one muscle? These were done to failure on each paused set? If so...wow!

Si amigo..I hit most of my reps too, last set was pretty rough.. :nervous:
I did better on the declines than on the pull-ups, the front 3x10's were a pretty big pre-fatigue load on those..

No worries of over training bubba? That is some brutal punishment.

No worries of over training bubba? That is some brutal punishment.

I'm not gonna bust this scheme out every day..sometimes I plan on switching to the prescribed drop sets as Doyle wrote it..maybe here & there I'll throw in some X-reps..just gonna do my own modifications without straying too far from the program. Last couple weeks I've had some 'coast' workouts, so I'm ready to annihilate myself again! Thx for pointing that out tho, I do have to be careful of o/t with my activity level right now.
