New Skin for AM

eventually..don't know exactly when.

Thanks for the AM light option, cuz u know I was about to start bitching about how this dark grey, with tinny font and white txt is hurting my eyes.

with the new Dark skin will there be the adds that I see ?

or will the gold members get the add free like the original skin?

hey the dark grey looks "sexier" tho', just prefer this "light" version on my eyes. Once again thanks for giving us a choice.

i actually like it, just cant read it, and im usually flying through threads in the "light version" but in the "2040" version im scrolling slower, and the font is smaller. Also the "new" version is slower on my computer, like this light scrolls and loads fast, the dark grey lags.
 
The font sizes are actually the same. It just appears smaller.



Loading times are relatively the same....except if you switch back and forth.


I actually have a middle version as well with the dark theme (same graphics), but light text boxes (posts, PM'es, etc....).
 
You can go check out the AM Middle as well. Still working on it though...
 
Gold Members should start seeing ads to disappear. You can pick 3 different style now (thats for everyone).


They are all being worked on for small bugs that take a lot of effort and time to find so PLEASE be patient. We are doing our best to provide everyone a choice and to uphold standards for Gold Members.
 
How do we change to the light version? The dark version is just a horrible contrast when trying to read...

On a high resolution wide screen monitor the actual forum is dead center with a LOT of space on either side. It takes some getting used to but I dont think readability is hurt. I do wish the center forum portion was wider. There is a lot of dead space to the sides of it.

Just my 2 cents..
 
Good suggestion but remember there's still a vast majority of people surfing the web at screen resolutions much smaller than you do. We need to make sure the site is usable for everyone.

The reason I have high resolution, wide screen monitors is to have multiple windows open :D

The most dominant resolution right now that views this site is 1024x768.

Only 11% view at a resolution higher than 1280x1024.

im amazed how many of you broke ass motheruckers are still @ x768. god that is disgusting. ;)

but ya, i see your point. you have to take the majority user base into account. it just makes me cry inside is all...

On mine is it. Its exactly the same.
 
That's weird. I wish mine looked exactly the same.

I am using Internet Explorer 8. What browser are you using?
 
Nevermind. I figured out the problem.

My Kaspersky Ad/Banner Blocker was blocking out all the banners which was making the page look weird.
