I'm on recreate, AP, and Prime...Diet is clean!
but almost every day I'm getting cravings for the weirdest stuff...Pizza, double quarter pounders, cinnamon rolls....
I cheat once a week, but usually take 2 AP before I indulge.
Anyone else going through this?
Mulletsoldier said:Caralluma fimbriata:
A very specific extract of this plant was shown to reduce waist size by almost one and a quarter inches in only 8 weeks, while decreasing appetite by 20% as compared to placebo [7]. In addition, those taking the active ingredient reduced consumption of sweets, refined sugars, cholesterol and saturated fats by the conclusion of the study as compared to placebo. At the same time, consumption of fruits, vegetables and fish didn’t change. In other words, it nearly “made” them follow a healthy diet and make better food choices, while also causing them to eat less. The group taking the caralluma lost 1.5 kg (3.3 lb) of fat mass as well, over the course of the study. It has been used for centuries by tribal populations that wished to suppress their appetite. It also has a well established safety record and had shown no serious adverse effects. As far as how it works, it is thought that steroidal glycosides present in the plant may increase ATP in the hypothalamus, potentially “tricking” it into thinking that energy or food intake is sufficient so there is no need to increase appetite [7,8].

You know what, with 3 roommates that eat crap, I'm doing pretty well. I'm talking like they eat cinnamon rolls for breakfast, and bring back mcdonald's, little ceasars, taco bell...but I'm holdin' out. The thing that I think makes me "crave" it is the smells. But I'm doin good. Finally found the ezekiel bread at kroger, and got some 96% lean beef, so that was a little change from the oats and chicken/eggs.
As I said, cravings are learned behaviour sets, and not merely physiological responses; as such, it's impossible to deny they exist! Rather than ignore cravings, you should embrace them: take a moment to imagine the food you are craving is in your mouth - taste it, remind yourself of the texture, etc., If you concentrate hard enough, salivation will occur and you will send signals to your brain you have already been physically and emotionally satiated by the food. Boom -> the craving subsides.

For sure. Literally concentrate on how they taste, how they feel, the warmth, everything.
I usually drop two AP and eat a whole pizza on the weekend.
