what has happened to neovar?!

been searching these forums to see what most people think is the best creatine in pill form, and most people have mentioned Neovar in the threads as being favourite so i wanna get some.....

where im confused is that I googled Neovar and it brought up some pages of companies stating that they have stopped selling neovar since they have "commercialised it and dropped the HARDCORE Creatine Ethyl Ester ( CEE is 40X Stronger than regular Creatine Monohydrate)" see this page:

So anyway I guess i want to check that Neovar is still a good creatine that everyone likes and that it hasnt changed since people have written about it in these threads ive been reading.



also there seem to be 2 different bottles available and im not sure if one of them is older and not as good or something:

Both are solid products, but the Neovar Recomped is the new version with creat mono. I would buy whichever is cheaper, I got the original for $10/bottle so I'll take that! Just make sure you take carbs with Neovar, if not you will get hypoclycemic, I've done it. Go to the Applied Nutriceutical forun and read up!

I started taking neovar a week ago on advice from Guejsn. I personally love it. I can already see results. Be careful of the carb intake though. P5sky is correct in that if you don't take enough carbs you are going to crash bad, especially after an intense workout. But, I absolutely love it, I hold my pump for hours and the defenition is personally pleasing and satisfying. Makes me drink a lot of water though.
 
ok now youre scaring me with the "lack of carbs" statement - what do you guys do to get in carbs imediately after a workout? just put porridge oats in a protein shake?
i usually have bsn cell-mass drink then go home and eat lunch an hour later. Should i be mixing oats into my cell-mass and downing that straight after then? hmmm arcitc berry flavour with oats - thats gonna taste strange!

it says to only take it after the workout, but is it not important to take creatine pre-workout as well? Also, if the new neovar is creat mono and the old one is CEE, does that not make the new one inferior?
 
There is no point in using Cell-Mass AND Neovar, both creatine sources. I take Neo with breakfast (oatmeal) and post workout with oats or Waxy Maize Starch. It is important to get carbs post w/o for the insulin spike.

Did you read the Neo FAQ?

im gonna be finishing the cell-mass soon so will try out the neovar next

ye i read the FAQ and saw that you should take carbs with it, do you just mix oats in milk and then down it straight after your workout? simple as that?
 
eating it with oatmeal should be fine! Any questions please fire away :D Being that I am an AppNut rep I will do my best to help you out! Neovar is currently not being made anymore, we have a new and improved version called Neovar Recomped. Recomped has a nutrient repartioner as well to help with carb intake.

i guess what i was trying to get at is:

is it so essential to get down the carbs after a workout that I should put porridge oats in liquid and just down it in the gym......or is it sufficient to go home and eat a big meal thats high in carbs an hour later?

There should NOT be any stock of the original NeoVar available anywhere, as that has been 'out' for quite some time now. The original Neovar was a CEE; the NeoVar Recomped is creatine monohydrate and phosphocreatine. The recomped version is far superior IMO...There is a 110-count and a 240-count bottle available, but they are bother the RECOMPED version.

Don't be scared. What she is saying (and any AN rep will tell you) is that you need to be having ~50g of carbohydrate (CHO) 15-20 minutes after dosing NeoVar Recomped for it to be the MOST EFFECTIVE. If you don't have the required amount of CHO then it can cause hypoglycemic effects.

And you DON'T need the CHO immediately post-training. Have your dose of NeoVar Recomped and then have your CHO 15-20 minutes LATER.

As for dosing, you can do it two different ways:
Option A -
Dose 1 - 40 min pre-resistance session
Dose 2 - immediately post-resistance session
Option B -
Dose 1 - immediately post-resistance session
Dose 2 - 15-20 minutes pre-meal (that has ~59 g CHO in) either earlier or later in the day
How you dose is really up to YOU. I personally use a mix of Option A and Option B and sometimes double-dose pre-bed as well (but only if I have had a VERY HIGH CHO day).

And yes, the original NeoVar (i.e. CEE) is inferior to the Recomped version.

See above re timing of NeoVar dosing and CHO intake.

Also see above. Dose your NeoVar Recomped immediately post-resistance session, and then go home and have your meal. Don't go for more than 30 minutes post-dose before having your meal, though.

Sure boss, haha. I noticed that NP is selling Quik Carb as a combo with Neovar. Is a serving of quik carb enough complex carbs to take with neovar?

serving size is 75g of carbs i believe? that should be plenty bud! Looks good to go to me.

I love so far im on my second week and yes make sure you take it with carbs, one time i didnt and i swear i felt like crap i thought my insides where gonna spill out. and drink alot of water, as of right now its really good i feel my chest and arms getting harder and more full. plus im stacking it with t911 goona run this for 2 months with some green tea and cla looking to get real lean and hard.


out of all the creatine i took neovar is rank either 1st or 2nd. well worth it and would buy it again.
 
Don't know if this will work for everyone, but I bought some carbo Gain by Now which I take with my Neovar. I also eat 1.5 or 2 potatoes, and one sweet potatoe in conjunction with the carbo gain. The carbo gain is 100 % complex carbohydrates that gives 47g of carbs. Sometimes I might eat two or three rice cakes that contain flax seeds while drinking the carbo gain. Just a thought for anyone looking for a way to get their complex carbs after coming out the gym. No need to worry about oatmeal or such. Of course if you live close to the gym, or you know you can get home in twenty minutes after taking your neovar, then you have nothing to consider.
