Volcom's Optimus PRIME Log

He got a third job at the market selling seafood. They make him wear a straw hat and say, "Confucius say..." before every statement he makes.

edit: maaaan. I can't use the Chinese smiley...and yes, I know you're Japanese, Sam...or at least I think you are.

I picked up a job at the local noodle house, where its used as a front for Triad ran gambling in the back and "me so horny" massage parlor.

I am Chinese actually, Taiwanese to be exact. The two are political enemies to the death, worse then Union/Confederate, probably along the lines of old Frontier/England. I'm actually not so politically involved in Eastern affairs, but my FOBBY cousin, shiiiiiiet, he gets offended if he's referred to as Chinese. Mainland China thinks they own everybody around them and they've been trying to absorb Taiwan for ages. They might have succeeded in 1996 when they were pointing and shooting missiles at Taiwan's shores, but Taiwan is under U.S. protection and when we sent the USS Mac Arther heavy air craft carrier near the incident, the missile threats stopped.

My sternocleidomastoids are becoming much more prominent, which is always one of the signs of my leaning out.

Sternocleidomastoids would be number 10

This is also my week without stims, so my crack 'o dawn workouts have been a bit inconsistent, but I still make up for it with doubles later in the day.

Good to hear you're healthy bro; I was worried.
Nuttin wrong with having a hectic schedule. Keeps ya on your toes!

Toe striations

P.S. I drove by another GNC yesterday and saw the 50% off second item sign. The first GNC where I purchased my AP from seemed to have abstained from this deal. I shake my fist at him.

My trapezoids have completely swallowed up my sternocleidomastoids!! :smileeek:

Good to have you back big V. Been missing your informative posts brutha.

Shady.. Tell them you're calling corporate customer service to report that shiz. Even franchise GNC's cannot 'not-do' a corporate, chain-wide promotion.
And BTW - the BOGO 50% off all sports supps continues for February..

So .. would the GNC.com offers also be valid in both franchise/non-franchise stores? Fx. the package bundles, such as the MRI stack ?

For the longest time I've been searching for something to make up for the fact that I am unable to perform dead lifts. Of course no other exercise can deliver the same testosterone releasing, core strengthening and total body stimulation as dead lifts when it comes to back exercises (I'm talking back exercises, so don't tell me squats). However, I wasn't looking for all the aforementioned benefits the deads offer, I just wanted something that would tax the shite out of that special area of the rear traps and general upper back region that seems exclusively DOMSaged when I perform deads. Today, I came close and I'll see tomorrow how this all went. Of course due to the fact that my lifts are lighter in weight and higher in volume, I'm not taxing the muscles deep, deep down, which seems to be a necessity for myself, to achieve some serious DOMSnacity.

Fasted AM Training with new arsenal:
3 caps Adipo X (thanks to IC's hook up)
2 caps Recreate
1 cap Anabolic Pump
2 caps DCP

Now, the Dead lift mimicking, acromio, posterior, spino traps taxation.

Incline Bench, Barbell Rows
135lbs x 15 reps
135lbs x 12 reps
135lbs x 10 reps
135lbs x 10 reps
135lbs x 10 reps
155lbs x 8 reps

Incline Bench, Double Db Rows
80lbs Db's x 10 reps
80lbs Db's x 10 reps
80lbs Db's x 10 reps

Rear Shrugs
315lbs x 10 reps
315lbs x 10 reps
315lbs x 10 reps

Machine, Low Rows
225lbs x 10 reps
225lbs x 10 reps
225lbs x 10 reps

After work, before class 4:00pm Cardio planned.

I didn't lose any weight this week, I'm still 201lbs. I guarantee I'll lose some this week, I'm not sick anymore and I'm going to make some minor tweaks to my diet. Furthermore, this week, I'll have my schedule a bit more under control and can plan out when and where to workout around my new schedule.

Before you think I'm a b!tch with 135lbs incline rows, I can BB row 405lbs (probably only 365 now), but that's when I'm utilizing my lats, the incline bench BB rows use traps and scapular retraction almost exclusively, and I take a very narrow grip so I can pull back as far as possible without the bar hitting the bottom of the bench.

I actually owe this one to Mulletsailor, he suggested it to me :notworthy:

Daaang you got your Adipo-X already? Mine should be here today but I won't be using it for a while...How do you like it so far?

I got mine last Thursday! The seller probably lives somewhere on the west coast or who knows, but I ordered the Adipo X the same day you sent me the link and I got it like 4 days later.

The Adipo X feels great. It is combined with the Recreate, but Recreate has an almost nill stim effect. The Adipo X pills feel and look crazy, it's liquid and the caps feel "almost" like a fish oil cap.

The Adipo X kicked-in, in about 10 min. I woke up at 7:30am and I was ready to lift by 7:45am. It stimmed me enough to make me want to hit it hard this morning, but it didn't over-stim. I did take 7 days off from stims and took 3 Reset-AD's in conjunction. I doubt my adrenals are fresh, so I suppose you can take that into consideration.

The stim feels good, nice euphoria, no shakes, no ECA restlessness, no eyes being peeled open, A Clockwork Orange style, it feels good, this first experience was just right. I had a pretty good workout this morning, it's about 10:00am here and no foresensible crash yet (I made that word up, "foresensible" but I think it's a legitimately coherent word).

I'm looking forward to my cardio session later, so I'm still mentally full of energy.

I'm know you're perfectly aware that with stims, they inevitably all come crashing down toward the end, but as far as initial experience, I don't think it stims you enough to force a quick tolerance, but it stims you enough to get things done, also, the euphoria is quite notable.

backed 100%. ive used like 10 sample packs of adipo x in the past 2 months or so (a bunch from the olympia and more from an NP order).

i used like half for fasted cardio and they were awesome sessions. good focus, good stim, no gi distress. very smooth. it felt similar to leviathan actually.

it was also smooth enough to use as a morning pick-me-up before class.

I agree. Adipo X has a bit more kick then LR in my opinion, but agreed on the sense of a smooth stim.

You're going to have to go for shredded to the bone marrow, because you're already shredded to the bone.

adipo x definitely seemed like it lasted longer.

btw, be careful with those gel tab things. one of my samples was destroyed and when i opened the packet it got all over my fingers. and for the rest of the day my fingers felt awkward. kinda slimy and weird haha. just be careful. wouldnt want to shake a clients hand and have slimy or stinky fingers. they might get the wrong idea.

also. for office fans.

ive been watching all the seasons lately thru netflix on my xbox. needless to say, its been a great 2 or 3 weeks.

I was a hardcore The Office fan after their first season, so I went ahead and checked out the original BBC Version of The Office. It's interesting to see the counterparts of the original English cast compared to our version. Personally, I prefer our US version, but the BBC version is pretty funny too.

You can't beat the Dwight and Michael combination. Although, their Michael is pretty hilarious, but their Dwight doesn't touch a candle.

I watched one episode of the BBC one and realized that their Dwight sucked and I said, "No more."

I'm still upset that they canceled Arrested Development...Amy Poehler has a new comedy coming out that looks funny. I saw an add last night.

Their Dwight was the pirate that had the one glass eye in the Pirates of The Carribeans Movie. Random.

Arrested Development was a good show. One of my more enjoyable comedies.

Arrested Development was just brilliant! I've got each and every season on DVD. Great form of humor; not the typical sit-com-like funny.

The Office isn't really my cup of tea, though. I'll watch it from time to time, but it's not on any of my Top #X lists.

The incline definitely isolates the upper and mid-back like no other!

True, true, true Sargeant Mullet!! :drillsergeant:

I just tossed some DB Incline Rows into my back workout last week. I hadn't done 'em for years. Talk about a new soreness.

Keep 'em slow and strict guys. This is an isolated movement. Not a mass/compound monster. Squeeze your shoulder blades together at the top and hold for a peak contraction.
Sweet pain!! :sgrin:

I'm pretty certain that DB Rows are what screwed up my symmetry. I'm sure I was doing the form wrong. Somehow I have symmetry again so I have to be careful...I'll keep an eye on the B-Over BB Rows. I used to have a real bad slant on my right side, while my left was level...it was weird, but now my right side is level, too. I want it to stay that way.

Sorry for doing this to your thread, Sam...A little mini-IC update: Training this week, taking next week off to recover, and then starting my new log on Valentine's Day. I'll PM you guys the link when it's up.

No worries, you're welcomed to post updates here anytime. My log does not have any specific focus on any particular supplements or stacks, just a general cut, so no worries.

will this include some special v-day progress pics? you know, lingerie and stuff?

Furthermore, my Recreate and DCP came in and I'm actually going to take advantage of the post superbowl six-pack-stack this time. I believe in Recreate. I'm still figuring out how to best balance my schedule with two lifts and meals, between 1 full time job, 1 part time job and 9 units of class. I'll work it out, I actually had a more cumbersome schedule last semester, because ontop of everything I just listed, I also had a part time internship, which I am free of now.

You will figure it out Sam, you are AMs most dedicated man :hammer: Invalid Link Removed

Yesterday

30 min AM fasted Cardio.

45 min PM cardio

Bi's
Reverse Barbell Curls x 4 sets
Smith-Barbell, Reverse Curls x 4 sets
Cable Reverse Curls x 4 sets
Concentrated Db Hammer Curls x 4 sets
One Arm, Cable Cross Body Curls x 4 sets

I found out that the "student" CSCS's at my school earn $25.00 an hour at our Student Rec Center. That number has been messing with my head because I don't get paid that much at my private facility. I tell myself I should be thankful I even have a (two jobs) during this time, to keep myself grounded, but nonetheless......

Feeling weak as hell

This mornings fasted AM training felt horrifically homo....

Chest

Flat Bench
225lbs x 10 reps
225lbs x 8 reps
225lbs x 6 reps

Flat Db Press
80lbs Db's x 10 reps
80lbs Db's x 8 reps
80lbs Db's x 6 reps

Hammer Decline Press
180lbs x 12 reps
180lbs x 10 reps
180lbs x 10 reps

Hammer Dips (lower/outer pec style)
180lbs x 10 reps
180lbs x 8 reps
180lbs x 8 reps

My 225lbs bench was suppose to be a 10-12 rep scheme across the board, not declining in reps as if I were pyramiding high intensity style. Same went for the 80lbs Db's, my reps shouldn't have dropped in two rep intervals, one rep drops would have been acceptable, but oh well. I was able to fly the 80lbs Db's for 6 when I was 215lbs, so this morning was a bit disconcerting. However, I without a doubt, am looking better. I knew my traps had grown in the past year or so, it was simply bulkier and more peaked, but at 215 it was a mound. 15lbs later, my traps look pretty legit with some of that fat cut away. I look smaller with a long sleeve on, but I "look" waaaay bigger in a beater. A lot more lines, more prominent musculature and my traps are boarding on over-powering my delts, so I have some sculpting to do.

Apart from feeling like a pu$$y, I look and feel great about my overall aesthetic progression.

PM back and/or Cardio to come.

I felt today was more of an off-day then a permanent decline in strength. My next chest is an incline day, but I'll be pushing 225 on that day to make up for today.

You have to choose what you want the most, cuts or strength. I think you can have both in a slow cut, but these fast cuts are devastating to strength levels. Look at Maruizs, he's cut and the Strongest Man in the World!! But he eats a lot of clean calories during the day. These drastically reduced calorie cuts are what kills the strength!!
