BIGGER, FASTER, STRONGER: Snag's Recipe for a [NATURAL] Recomp, Competition Style!

The supp whore comment brought this to mind.. :lol: .. :chairfall:

Spelling DOES count, even in third grade!!
That is absaloutley classic, its like the dyslexic Guy who bought a whare house, but he bought a whore house.

Not only does spelling count, punctuation does too!

The following two letters contain the same exact words—but the punctuation differs sharply. Which letter would you rather receive?

* Dear John:
* I want a man who knows what love is all about. You are generous, kind, thoughtful. People who are not like you admit to being useless and inferior. You have ruined me for other men. I yearn for you. I have no feelings whatsoever when we're apart. I can forever be happy—will you let me be yours?
* Harriet

* Yours,
* Harriet

These letters tell us a lot about John and Harriet—but they tell us even more about the importance of punctuation. Change a comma here, move a period there … and the entire document is different. That's why punctuation matters; it creates meaning as much as words do.

Sneek peak at progress. Still some work to do.. :sigh:

My scale said 185 this morning, 6% bf. The bf indicator is not accurate; I do feel like I'm somewhere between 6 & 7% tho, closer to 6 maybe. That part got me a little excited first thing in the morn tho! :)

Are you left-side strong-side, Snag? Your left quad looks a little bigger, just like mine!
Yes I am, but also have imbalance issues from training thru my R calf tear last Fall. As well, I'm turning my L leg out very slightly to try to offset the difference in calf shape (again due to the tear), this makes my leg appear bigger than the other, when there is not that much of a discrepancy.
Now, my L bicep has always been better developed than my right; I've never been able to even this out. They are just 2 different shapes.

You need to tear your other calf...The one that had the injury looks sweet. Your left calf looks like mine. I wish mine were balled up high, like your right one.

Haha.. yeah, I thought about that. I think it looks better too. Because the muscle rolled up in on itself and reattached that way, it's always thick now, no flexing required.
Scarred for life I am.. :sad:

You know that I have a torn right calf as well. Looks better to me too. Now my torn right pec.....now we're talking scarred and marred. :zx11pissed:

I'm telling you, man, just tear the other one the same way! :p
Duuuude, do you know how painful that shtt was? Couldn't walk for days, felt like somebody slammed me with a baseball bat full bore when it snapped. Did it shifting on the run playing tennis..
I don't think I could do that again. I should've have surgery.

Ouch. Reminds me of when I snapped by finger 2 weeks ago and I almost passed out as my body went into shock. Did you lose hearing/sight too?

I come back in here....to read about testicle tears?? :sorry: That's horrible lol

What's up snag, lookin thick as hell man. How was the demo the other night at GNC? Decent turn out?

Nah, I wish. I was extremely aware of the pain. Collapsed into a heap on the court. Wife & her friend were my crutches to get outta there.
Not pleasant. Happened on me & the wife's anniversary w/e too.. sucked.

Sup man.. Thanks for the compliment brother.
Actually my last demo was at Vitamin Shoppe, not a bad turnout for sub-zero temps that day. Got to educate a few folks.. it was cool.

Yep, I did a demo a while back at a smaller Vit Shoppe and it was a slow day. Eventually a dad came in with his son [hockey player] and they were looking for some basics to start with. I ended up spending like an hour explaining the importance of dieting and learning compound movements, etc. The dad was so appreciative and I felt like I really helped put a young 15 year old kid in the right direction. Sometimes that's more rewarding than the busy demos ;)

/rant off

sorry lol

Edit: T-Bol log goes up tomorrow!!! I'll shoot ya a link when its up.

Two Recreates, at GNC prices, so basically you made that store $500 :clap2:

I went into GNC today while I was at the mall to see if there was a sale on any vitamins and as soon as I walk in I hear, "Daaawwwg, man, I's just eatin' dat tuna fish and wheat bread, know what i'm sayin'?" "I hur that." Oh, the stench of GNC. It smelled poopy...does "rip-off prices" have a smell?

I immediately left. :lol:

As much as GNC blows sometimes... I actually still get good deals on my standard ON protein during Gold Card week when I run out... Otherwise, I only go into those brick and mortars for emergencies...

I buy all my vitamin dispensers there and I also only go there for emergencies. I bought a bottle of AP for 65 bumps.

The only time it makes any financial sense is during Gold Card week... I don't know why anyone ever shops there in the other 21 days of the month...

Ahaa, Mullet sold seperately.. but Sam, you did buy something else back there in the sports section and save 50% off that, right? BOGO 50% thru the end of JAN on all sports supps..

All right, speaking of supps as I gear up for this morning's Storm Front..

New BCAA/EAA intake surrounding workout:
PRE: (5) Leutor-70, 3 Leucine, 1 scoop Purple Wraath (@14.2g BCAA/EAA)
INTRA: 1 scoop GNC Leucine XT, 1 scoop Optimum Nutrition BCAA (@13.1g BCAA, very high leucine ratio)
POST: same as PRE

Again, PRE is taken @10 minutes prior to training; INTRA begins being sipped at start, finished by 1/2 way point; and POST is immediately after last set, of course then waiting 30 minutes for my PWO meal.

Rough nutrition format: @500cals breakfast, same post workout (both containing higher carb-to-protein ratios); then the following 4 meals average out to 350 cals per meal, macros shifting to higher protein ratio, then some higher fats in last 2 meals.

That's what it's all about right there. :thumbsup:

Day #26 Chest/Shoulders

Guys.. wish I had the time this morning to snap a pic; my pump was INSANE thru training, nice vascularity going on, muscles looking harder than Chinese math. Phe-nom-i-nal session.. would've made a nice contrast to last nights' posted pic where I was on an off-day and not really flexing too hard, just showing semi-relaxed progress. Next pics will be some dramatic improvement, I promise!

Flat BB bench, incline BB bench, incline flyes, seated military (alternating front & behind neck every other rep), seated DB laterals/overhead extension (combo movement, where first part is a lateral starting with DB positioned touching each other under your legs, then when you get parallel you continue the movement and touch DB overhead & slightly forward, brings the traps into play at the end) - don't know if there is a name for this or not, been doing that exercise for yrs tho..

Short on time this morning, so had to skip abs; will make them up tomorrow.

I never know what to call these, mine are done slightly behind the head instead of forward. I think I have done them both ways though.

I've done them more behind the head as well. Nice to see somebody grasping what I was trying to say DW! Kind of lengthy 'splainin it.. :lol:

I didn't hear about any 50% off anything. The guy just said I had $15 off on any supplement, then tried to point me toward a test booster (as they always do with me, wtf).

Sam! That sucks bro.. what I would do, if you still have the receipt, is go back in there and say hey, you guys never told me about this, I want (whatever you need) for the 50% off. That makes it a pretty good deal.. dude, I told you in your thread about the sports supp deal!! :aargh:

I do these as well however I can't remember what they are called. I really feel these however.
So once again, I see that I'm not too original.. :sad:
Haha! Just kidding. Glad to see there are ppl doing these things, cuz yeah it is a great exercise for some seperation! :thumbsup:

Great advice Snag!! That's why so many of us here have a such an extreme loathing for GNC!! Shady mudda-fukkers!! :zx11pissed:

Lol that was good one snag:biggthumpup:

They really put a lot of preasure on the outer delts, I will have to reincorportate these down the line.

Sitting here walking thru tomorrow's leg session in my mind. I've been so pumped all day long, energetic.. I'm chomping at the bit for some action!:squat:
So I'm lining things up for some FT upon rising, reduced carbs last 2 meals of the day here (ala Mullet-style).. thinking :Thinkingof_: about my Pslin/postworkout mix after the workout..
damn, hope I can sleep tonight - I'm ready to rock!! :firedevil:

Tear it up Snag!! I'm hobbling around today after my leg w/o yesterday...oooh the sweet pain of accomplishment.

How much different is your pre/during/post supplementation when not cutting? I am trying to get one going myself. I never have had one set up and I am curious about yours.

When I'm not cutting or looking to stay lean (I guess you could call this a 'bulk' mode), it changes majorly. I drop BCAA's altogether, go back to a more standard approach, with postworkout nutrition being just foods/WMS. I do no intra drinks.
IMO, just like anything else BCAA's should be cycled. 'Bulk' periods provide the optimal time to do so, as your dietary intake is above maintenence anyway, and as long as you're consuming quality foods you should be fine.. If I use anything with foods, it's Pslin/AP to power the nutrients (altho I'll be coming off everything following this little foray).
Down time from supps is important to me.
