For the first time in 18 months I drank and was off my balls on NYE. I'm still hurting today. Hopefully it will shock my body in to further fat loss. Maybe that's just wishful thinking though! I'm pretty sure I won't be drinking for another 18 months! Body fat is continuing to drop. I honestly can't wait to bulk it up over winter and then hopefully cut and be able to compete in October. I've been getting some great advice from a bodybuilding friend of mine. We'll see what happens. I'll post some pics in the next few days to show you my progress. Abs are starting to come through now.

Haven't had any CLA for a couple of months. Wouldn't mind getting some, but with the exchange rate still terrible, that won't be happening for a while.

Ive just start on around 8 caps per day. Got a new workout/cardio plan starting Monday so hopefully ill be slim picking along with Cub in the coming months......im still recovering from NYE to start it today.

End of week 13...

These are some progress pictures I took tonight at the gym. It's a Saturday night and I couldn't think of anything better to do than shoulders, triceps and cardio! I did my best at taking pictures but they came out a bit dodgy. It was hard to hold the camera still! I pretty much have my top four abs out now, which you can see in the (pathetic) side pose. I seem to have massive obliques which I presume are from the past few years of heavy deadlifts, squatting and good mornings I've done training as a powerlifter. It sort of makes my lower gut stick out a bit, or maybe it is just gut and I still have plenty to cut down. We'll find out. Seven weeks left. Need to get my skin folds done again, hopefully some time this week. Fingers crossed that they total <57mm!

Thanks mate. I've dropped around about 20lbs so far. You can notice it heaps in my face. I'm not all bloated anymore :)

Definitely my obliques, they're rock hard! Maybe I need to start some HGH so that I can have a big belly that evens everything out. It's so much better having lower body fat because I look bigger than I did before. I've been eating clean and dong the cardio and it seems to be dropping. It's just a lot slower than when I first started. I'd say I'm floating around 17% or so now. I want to be 10%.

The only lady that was happy was my mum! She said I looked terrible with a beard. The beard made me look meaner.

That last bit of lower belly fat will be the hardest to get rid of. It always is.

Keep eating clean and you'll end up lean!!

According to the calipers I'm double that! MUST - GET - LEAN!
bullshit! - fk the calipers - pop into a health equipment store and jump on one of those bf scales.

They're not super accurate, but I bet you it will give you a better idea.

My lowest was 12% - and you're at least equal to that if not a little lower :thumbsup:

Friday of week 14...

I took a couple of photos of my legs at the gym last night. I also got on the electronic scales and they gave me a body fat reading of 11%. What friendly scales! I hadn't put any legs shots up so these are a couple of shots to show you that I do have a set, they just need some mass packed on them!

Seems to be pretty common that one leg is visibly larger than the other, for me its my left that is larger and for you the right. Judging by the pics, i dont think its drastic but since ive noticed that observation its rare to see legs that same size.

Yeah maybe. It could just be the way I'm standing/leaning when trying to take the picture. I gave up in the end. I'll get someone else to do it for me in the next couple of weeks. Overall my fat loss seems to have stalled a bit. I'm weighing 95-96kg at the moment.

Have you ever done a detox? Somtimes free radicals and toxins prevent further fat loss as fat acts as a buffer to keep poisons away from vital organs. Just like how you pack news paper with your dishes. lol. Worth a look.

I used to compete in Taekwondo but right now I doubt I could fight my way out of a paper bag.
you'll be surprised how much these skills stick with you. its imporrtant to practice some. like me with boxing I used to do it when i was 19-20. and last year I joined a boxing gym and still had it.

also wrestled as a kid and had that as well(mma, ufc fighters) best way to test it out is like when you take a break from weight lifting or just for cardio join a mma place. Youll be surprised how much muscle memory on the skills is still there even though you havent touched it in years.

If you've been drinking your vege juices then you kinda already have.

Start pounding away green tea with lemon juice and a bit of raw ginger, and if you're really keen start swallowing whole garlic cloves 3x a day :thumbsup:

The beginning of week 15...

Body weight tonight was 93kg. So far, 11-12kg lost. I attempted to take my own pictures again, but was lucky enough to have someone come and train late just as I was leaving. I left him in the photo because the mirror shows my back. I think it's probably my strongest body part. I'd say my arms are the weakest. They really need to pick up some size if I'm going to get anywhere with bodybuilding. I can't wait to go on a big bulker. I'm pretty sure it will start in March sometime. That allows March, April, May and in to a bit of June to bulk. Then June through to October to cut for the competition. With this long to cut it also allows time for adjustments etc. It will be a competition diet this time though, which probably won't be as lenient or enjoyable. The price of beauty. So anyway, there were a few big boys at the gym tonight who estimated my body fat to be around the 11-12% range. I've NEVER been this low before and I can't wait to see <10%. I've still got a little bit of belly at the bottom so I'm going to play around with my diet a little this week and cut out sodium altogether. I'm also going to up my fats a little and add some vegetables that are natural diuretics. I'll also be taking some caffeine pills and drinking green tea. This will hopefully help get rid of some water I may be holding and strip a bit more fat. It may do nothing, but it's my body and I can experiment with it if I want to :)

It definitely has dropped a bit, but not too much. I've noticed that I can still push the weight I did before, it's just that my rep range is much less now. So, I usually start heavy and then drop the weight after a couple of sets so that I can keep my volume nice and high.

HAHA! Thanks brother! It's funny you say that, when people speak to me in the gym they always say "didn't you used to be a powerlifter?" The bench is my passion, but I want to step on stage.

That is awesome progress Cub! Lookin so much healthier. Like you said you are lacking a bit in the arms department compared to the rest of you - when you were training for powerlifting did you ever train bi's/tri's individually or was it always compound movements etc.

We only ever did hammer curls and extensions. No real direct work for mass. I'm going to take you up on that dare.

I have it on good advice: drink your green tea with a slice of lemon and a little fresh ginger - and drink a lot of it.

I've dropped 3.4kg since NY so far on that tapered carbs/vege juice diet :thumbsup:

You missed the part about buckets of vodka redbull and pints of cocktails.

The food is good and cheap though. Regardless of how hot the "ladies" are always put them through a grab test....you never know...
