BIGGER, FASTER, STRONGER: Snag's Recipe for a [NATURAL] Recomp, Competition Style!

He should rub some Sustain Alpha on there to feel the burn ;) I heard some guys on the pp forum shaved their ballsac, then applied some SA, sounded like a bad experience lol. SA is interesting and I have picked some up, but I'm still waiting for Eric to release a pure Resveratrol TD.

SA has caught my interest as of late, wonder how it works. Also it's pretty intriguing that it's considered a "natty TB." Wonder how it matches up against the other typicals boosters.

Thanks all 'round fellas. Yeah I'm fairly pleased with where things are at right now. Little imbalance going on, and it all stems from my torn right calf last summer. It was a severe tear, in fact I was told I should've probably had surgery to repair (guess I risked a blod clot or something within the muscle tissue), but I declined. First major injury of my life. So, I don't know if that will ever look quite right again..
But that's what got me into some bad form when I did come back, and my legs are slightly out of kilter still, so it's something to work on. Ahh, there's always something..

Day of rest tomorrow.. the Snag Storm takes a breather. Back in action Sunday!

Great looking physique Snag!

Thanks for stopping in!

Awww..couldn't resist taking a pic of the last meal this night..it's just too pretty, hahaa!

And I love the Master Chef smiley, that dude is cool! When's he ever gonna catch that chicken? :D

Day #16 Rest & Reload

Roughly a quarter of the way thru this process at this point, and I'm happy with where things are.. got some more leanness in overnight, woke this morning at 189lbs upon rising, so that is perfect. Not trying to lose weight, the emphasis is on redistribution. Of course I'll lose weight along the way as I peel down, but I'm trying to keep that to a minumum, and I'm digging where I'm at..
At my GNC demo last night, I picked up something to add to my arsenal. The nice side of working at GNC is, I can use my employee discount at any store; so when I see a clearance item in a shop where I'm running a demo, I can get it on the cheap. There was a bottle of Fizogen Ester-Bol Orals on the rack for blowout, and I ended up paying $12 for it.. couldn't resist. I'm not a Fizogen fan at all (ridiculously overpriced line, and I think they have some quality issues -- are they even in production anymore?), but for $12 the compound intrigued me. Since I need to replace the Plasmavol, and with the cutting agent (Methodrol) included in there, theoretically it fits like a glove.. we'll see.
So, a day of rest.. except I gotta go out right now & shovel 5" snow off my driveway.. :D

Man, Snag, that reminded me how much I MISS the seasons in the mid-West

All we have here is Summer and Cool-days...I've gotta say, though, it's BEAUTIFUL today! Upper 60's, clear, tad breeze...ahhhh. The beach is gorgeous, but I miss Chicago's lakefront.

Ah....we really do have something in common then. I tore my right calf just last year. Last January to be exact. Freak accident though. My foot slipped off the raised pad as I was doing some heavy cheat calf raises. Instant pain. Like someone took a hot knife and stuck it in there...and then twisted it!! :aargh: I also opted to NOT have surgery. Now it's strict movements only. Slow and controlled.

Hey Snag what do you think about 1 serving Purple Wraath during workout, then another serving after the workout and 30 min. later having my meal?

You guys seem to be enjoying pics of my food.. I never intended to put this many pics up, but if I can inspire & give some ideas for your own meal plans, I'm happy to oblige! :D

Meal #2 today, very easy, quick, and economical..
2 whole eggs
8 whites
1 piece Ezekiel
1 large grapefruit

Sure, I like that. Start drinking the Wraath couple minutes before the workout..

I like that product immensely. I also like Xtend; Core ABC as well.. Just because I'm using some of the products that I use, doesn't necessarily mean this is what I prefer. There's some experimentation going on here.. as well as working with what products I can get thru my distribution channels at good prices; I don't have unlimited funds to work with, so this plays a part..

Make no mistake: I use a lot of ancillary products, but the core of my gameplan is the USP line, specifically AP & Pslin. These are the foundation of which everything else is built on. That's the beauty of the products imo -- despite working very, very well by themselves, they stack perfectly with just about everything in existence, and because they work on nutrient repartitioning/uptake levels, they just make everything else you take work better!!

I have some pslin on the way. i'm just not sure I will get enough carbs in to utilize it best. But it is worth having here just in case!

Yeah that sux bro, didn't know that. You have any misshaping going on?

I tore mine playing tennis with the wife & her friend in August; chiro told me it was a Grade 2 tear, in hindsight I think it was really a Grade 3.. but I healed fairly rapidly, only to slightly tear it again like 10 weeks later (didn't let it heal enough).
Tennis is a rough sport!

Christine, if your schedule allows, I think you'd groove on the FT protocol in the manner I run it, then follow 1/2 hr later with a 60g carb meal. This would be a large chunk of your carbs for the day, but I really like this approach for you, and a wonderful way to utilize Pslin!

Ok sweet, thanks.
Can't wait to try this out I'm starting Monday.

It's higher up, but seems rounder and better looking than the left one if you ask me.

Man, my activity level on here is off the chain.. haven't had the things transpire yet that I thought would minimze my time playing online.. This is a soothing outlet tho, keeps me focused when I have downtime. The fact that I work from my home office doesn't hurt either! ;)

Anyway.. just got an e-mail from promoter Dave Liberman, an invite to the NPC Natural Ohio on April 4th. This was the same show I competed in last April.. felt I left a little unfinished business on the table with my 3rd place showing out there. I think, had I not screwed up my intake at the end of prep/show day, I could've taken at least my weight class - altho the guy who won was in incredible shape, and was an IFPA pro. This part of show prep has always been my weak link, and I still need to figure that fine-tuning out..

This is very tempting to me, as I will be ready ahead of this timeframe, and would have the luxury of rolling into that show on the upswing, instead of trying to nail things down at the end as was the case last year.. hmmmmmmmmmmm..

Have to contemplate this one..

What would you do if you accepted? Bulk now and then start cutting 6-8 weeks beforehand? Or just run maintenence at say 5-6% and fine tune in March?

I wish I would get 3 months notice for a fight. I had an offer last week for a fight in New York at 160 to 169, but only 3 weeks to prepare. I could definitely lose 15 pounds pretty easily - but it made me cringe that I'd be sacrificing a lot of the progress that I've made over the past year.

Hell no dude.. this doesn't change my goals. I still want to achieve some phenomenal conditioning. Altho my injuries last yr put me a bit behind in the muscle department, I think I've got enough to work with! ;)
I would slow down my slightly fast-paced approach tho, keep cal intake stabilized where I'm at for a longer duration rather than making some cuts every 5-7 days as planned.
In this approach, I would still be show-ready by early March, then I'd just maintain & slowly build back up, try to bring a full & shredded physique to the stage.

Wow no kidding, very cool. 3 weeks to prepare is pretty short notice - hear ya on your hesitancy to do the quick-cut. Sometimes it's tough to fit our bb'ing goals in with other things, I totally can relate bro!

I declined the offer. It's always been a dream of mine to win a fight at heavyweight (and in good condition) after fighting around 140 my whole life... So that's what I'm going to do.

Wow, nice nice! Heavy is a tough division.. you must throw dem rocks pretty good!

What weight would you say he is there...210-220?

I had a phenomenal fasted chest workout this morning. I love the endurance; really causes you to go for pain!

That my friend is a lot of mustard... I love it.

My body is completely confusing me this week. I worked out really hard my last 4 days of vacation, but I ate a ton of carbs and even some candy over the past week - while keeping protein at the 200g / day level... Ended up losing 2 pounds or so... :wtf:

Musta been alot of gigidy gigidy going on

By the way, your meals are looking awesome as always.
And now it must be time for some canned tuna... :ntome:
