I cut out all stims except for the ReCreate and the pre-workout JACKED (3 scoops). I felt like the old Thundergod again!! Full of fire and fury!! I was using way too many stims. Even at my age, I still must live and learn. These sets felt incredible. I had wind, energy, stamina, and endurance to burn through!!

Oh yeah!! I watched hours of the 2008 Met-RX World's Strongeset Man Competition last night in preparation for this morning's battle. It got me fired up big time!! I was visualizing all of my heroes as I was squatting this heavy ass weight! I saw the big Swede, Magnus Samuelsson, I posted in my pre-workout video. I saw the Icelandic giants Magnus Ver Magnusson and Jon Pall Sigmarsson flash before my eyes. There was NO way I was going to fail today! By-Odin I was victorious!! :box::hammer:

Very isolated movement. I can feel them deep within the muscle fibers of my tiny calf muscles. Must make them GROW!! :aargh:

The Berzerker Rage had fairly consumed me this morning! And I loved every second of it. Now I feel wiped out, but in a good way. No more sickness, no more weakness, and with the Thundergod....never any excuses!!

That's the one thing about our (T.G's and mne) body type it's harder for us to lose fat, but we can lose fat slowly and still gain muscle. Some of the newer supps perpetuate this but there is an inherant ability with meso/endos. I remember arguing this point 10 years ago when people used to say it's impossible to lose fat and gain muscle at the same time.
 
TG, are you noticing any performance effects from JACKED, beyond just the stimulant effect? Things like increased endurance and so forth? That is a bit of a convoluted question, but I have been asking most people that! Above all, JACKED was meant to enhance performance. Due to my stimulant sensitivity I can only use 1 scoop, so it is a bit easier for me to tease out the differences.

If you feel like commenting on that is pimping the product, PM a brotha!

I can be honest and comment without being a pimp. I only pimp on the side! LOL

Today was actually the very first time I used JACKED without an ECAY stack with it. And I enjoyed it .......better!! No over-stimulation as with the ECAY combo. I will only take the ECAY in the late afternoons before my night shift of work from now on. I have learned that the ReCreate and the JACKED is all I need to blast the Hel outta my workouts. So the energy from JACKED is nice and clean-burning. Quite sufficient.

Yeah, my endurance was way up this morning. Even on leg day!! I think most people would agreee with me when I say that leg day is the roughest day of all!! It wears me out. Afterwards I'll even be yawning and shit. But this morning I had stamina and endurance to spare. This was a rare case that I could have added some extra sets, had I chose to. I know better of course. I know the exact amount of volume I need during each workout. It comes from 25 years of lifting. ha ha But I could have done some more. That's rare on a leg day!

My breathing was much improved during my sets. Even on the widowmakers. Which usually make me feel as if I'm going to keel over afterwards!! I was drawing air deep into my lungs. And it was great. I got those extra reps due to this effect. If you can't get air...you won't have the power to crank out those heavy reps.

All in all, I am really liking the JACKED. Best pre-workout powder mix that I have used to date. And I have used lots of them. Easily, it's the best tasting. And easiest to mix. No bloating or unwelcome gas. LOL
Some other brands are stronger stim/wise, but that's not the only thing useful about these products.
The pumps from JACKED are outrageous. I didn't do any kind of arm work this morning, but I'll be damned if my arms weren't blown up after my leg sets!! WTF??!! I had an overall body-pump if you will. Shoulders were pumped......crazy.

Bottom line....Thunder-likey his JACKED!! :hammer:
 
Awesome, I knew you would enjoy it; that's why I had it included! I personally am sitting at 1.5 scoops and am enjoying. At that dose I get a nice euphoric boost without any sleep disturbance. I'm afraid drinking over a gram of caffeine everyday for 4 months straight with no REM sleep kind of used up my "take stimulants and sleep allowance", lol.

If there is anything else I can do in terms of dosing, diet or w/e for your stack TG, let me know!
 
Oh yeah, and I don't care who thinks I am biased, the taste is amazing. It actually tastes like Diet Sierra Mist - actually!

Not like Sierra Mist that the formulator's kid peed a little in; or like Sierra Mist crystals that a hobo spent a night in; but real Sierra Mist!
 
Do you normally get any naseau from pre workout drinks? Do you notice it from Jacked, its been several years since I have used anything because of my training and the fact that most of it gets me sick. Especially with the supersets and plyo stuff.

I do know what you mean; I experience that on heavy squat sets with most stimulants, and especially products with Magnesium. Such is not the case with JACKED. I will refrain from explaining JACKED any further, as I really do not want to turn TG's log into an opaque USPlabs forum! If you want, we can carry this out in more detail via PMs?

Yes, it was pretty disgusting. I would drink on average 4 Diet Rockstars a day; some days 5-6, others maybe 3, but never less than 2! Yah nothing replaces a good nights sleep and I was also very tentative. My first dose and I only slept 3 hours and only took 1 scoop.. it got better with the second and now I sleep fine. I take it at 1 pm about 3 hours before my workout. Like I said I only take 1 scoop though.

Magnus Samuelsson finally retired after 2008's World's Strongest Man Competition after 13 years of competing. He made it to the finals a record 10 times. And won it in 1998. He will be sadly missed.

The worlds strongest arms, he is a legend, and one of the nicest guys ive met when i travelled with my brother, so down to earth.
I have a feeling we will see him again, he has never been beaten in 17 strongman competitions in sweden.
 
TG is gonna have to pick up a 10 ton volvo semi and some serious nautical rope in a little while just to get a workout!

I can see Thunder putting in a couple falling pillars into his home gym, a la samson of biblical lore, and just holding them up as grip work.

I bet Samson pwned the heck out of strongman competitions back in the day. I wish the Bible listed his workouts. I bet they were intense...apparently he didn't have a problem with DHT.

My girlfriend has 2 cars, one is a VW beetle from the early 70's. Every time I look at it I just think about franco columbo moving the fiat or whatever that was in Pumping iron... lol. I want to try deadlifting her car from the rear bumper so bad... I am probably not strong enough yet, but I am afraid I'll end up just tearing something off it in the process of trying...

Yeah the 70's model that Franco DLed wasn't near as rusty as the 70's model you'd be attempting.

I know, I know... It's just my stupid imagination. I imagine I would have to be about 200-250 lbs stronger (if my math and physics are correct) with my deadlifts anyway to pull it off.

You have no idea how proud of myself I'd be (and how stupid my girlfriend would think it was) if I pulled it off though. :lol:

Thunda, I concluded my back/trap session with one set of 125 lbs DB for 15 reps and two sets of 150 lbs DB rows for 12 reps. You bet your a$$ I had your firy intensity in mind while performing them. As with Volcom's deadlifts back this past spring, I kept envisioning your heavy a$$ DB rows [remember we had this 150 lbs DB Row discussion a while back] and it just gave me another giant boost.

2 more cool things I have noticed about using JACKED. First, when you shake it up as directed to thoroughly mix the ingredients, then you take the lid off the container, "smoke" comes billowing out!! By smoke, I mean the extremely fine powdered ingredients. It looks really cool though.

The second thing is, when I mix this stuff up in my shaker cup. After 20 seconds of vigorous shaking, when I open the little drink spout, it comes blowing off there like a volcano!! It makes an audible POP!!! It's like this stuff is carbonated or something! :lol:

Congrats on those DB Rows my viking brother!! :clap2: That is freakin' heavy! I know. I've done it. ha ha

But you are about 20 lbs. lighter than I am. And your bodyfat is significantly lower than mine. So that makes your lift even more credible than mine. Plus, like GMG and I have talked about before, there's something to be said for "old man strength". I am stronger on some of these "pet lifts" as I like to refer to them, now that I'm older. I couldn't one-arm row 150 lb. for 12 reps when I was your age!

So I have a feeling that you are going to be lifting some truly amazing poundages as you get older. Your better days are still out in front of you. You'll be like the guys we watch on youtube, DB rowing 200 lb. DB's for reps and shrugging 700+ pounds for reps!! I can see it now!! It will happen. :head:

Those classic Strong Men shows on ESPN-Classic are addicting to watch. TG needs to get his ass in there.
I have VHS tapes of World's Strongest Man Competitions dating back to the first contest in 1977!!! It had Lou Ferrigno, Franco Colombu, Ken Patera, and Bruce Wilhelm in it. I'm missing some tapes of the years along the way, but not many!!

I've fantasized about being on there and competing with my heroes. But that's all it is......a fantasy. I don't even come close to comparing to those giants. For instance on the squat lifts and deadlifts, the weights start at about 600 and end at 800!! I could get the first rep......but then it'd be over!! :lol:

I've seen platform squats over 1,000 lbs. and flintstone deadlifts over 900 lbs. on there!!! Amazing stuff!!!

Yeah, I should have warned you about the explosion. That happened to me the first time when I wasn't paying attention. I was watching something on T.V., and then opened up the whole container to put more Creatine in and the thing popped right off and scared the **** out of me. Hah!

I have used a few Pre WO supps that do that. Scared the piss out of me the first time it happened.
 
CARDIO UPDATES


Yesterday Evening: 1 hour walk. Nice pace. Not fast...not slow. Normal speed I guess you could say. LOL

Today: Early Morning HIIT CARDIO: 25 minutes. After a couple of minutes warming up, I hit 20 intervals of 30 seconds all-out and then 30 seconds medium speed on my exer-cycle. Had a great sweat going. And was amazed to see my muscles pumping up again! During cardio.....:wtf:

Yah it's good to mix up the cardio only about 50% of my cardio is HIT and the rest is moderate.

You must be on prime to see a pump from cardio

And I take lots of walks. It soothes my troubled spirit. I talk to All-Father and it calms the storms within me. :box:

I would say that I walk about 6 to 8 hours per week. And I always walk my dog before my weight workouts to warm my body up. My dog loves out little strolls together. He's my best friend. :thumbsup:
 
If I was a pre-workout drink person I probably would have purchased some, but I'm more of a pill-popping stim guy. I take enough powders as it is. I popped two Y-RD caps as soon as I got the package today. Seems like some good energy, not too jittery, and I'm sweating a lot which is good; however, shrinkage, again...That's to be expected with my stim-intake, though. I've learned to accept it.

I took this workout to Drop Set City this morning!! It's time to up the intensity!! Just because your muscles hit total failure at a given weight, doesn't mean you can't lower the weight and crank out some more!! More pain equals more gain!!

I only rested long enough to get up and change the pin on the weight stack. Maybe 5 seconds tops. Grueling shizzle up in this hizzle!!

These drops are just what I needed to up the effort and up the intensity. I may even go to triple drops next week. Getting freaking crazy now!!

These were straight sets. But they felt oh so good!! I took my mind to a different place. Blocking out all doubt, all fear, and all pain!!

You know that since they're called "hammer" curls, that I would love 'em!! And I do. One of my most favorite exercises of all. I get down and dirty with these mutha's!!

And that was a rap!! This was truly one of the very best workouts of my entire life!! No exaggeration at all. I was more than just "in the zone". I went way beyond the zone this morning!! No stopping me now!! I've gone freaking crazy!! :fool2:

.. my workouts are also turning into the most anabolic/beastly sessions I've done in a while. As a result, it sounds real cliche' saying 'tonight's workout was above and beyond,' or, 'tonight's workout was the sickest, nuttiest, bloodiest session in my life!' .. I see your weights, reps, sets, exercises are all increasing, so I actually believe that your workouts DO exceed the past ones !



You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to thundergod again.
