painkillers while on a cycle?

sakes

Member
just trying to be safe. can you take pain killers such as hydrocodone when on a cycle of PH like h drol to help with back pumps, etc

Well pain killers arent going to give you a back pump holms. Plus just with esperience i would not. I went to the hospital for doing this. I did take quite a few pain killers though. Temaril P was it. I was also on M drol and pplex.

i agree with monster. unless you are in some serious, serious pain, (back pumps not included) stick to ibuprofen. DO NOT take tylenol/acetaminophen/paracetamol on cycle, as this **** is so liver toxic you have no clue. in my own experience, tylenol can have similar effects as alcohol on the liver when taken at high enough dose. the problem is nobody thinks what theyre taking is too high a dose. the body WILL break down and probably suffer liver failure when daily dosages approach 5-6g. keep in mind a standard dose of xtra strength tylenol is 1g, so be careful. PLUS everyone forgets about other sources of the drug, mainly OTC cold preparations, which contain anywhere from 325mg-1g of additional acetaminophen per dose. IF you are really in such bad pain while cycling, and MUST refer to real pain meds (i.e. opiates), DO NOT take any drug that is a preparation, meaning any drug that is combined with tylenol (percocet, vicodin, roxicet, etc); instead take a pure opiate such as roxicodone, oxycontin, oxy-IR, etc.

I was once an opiate addict and know my **** in this regard. i'm also aware you might be saying to yourself 'wtf, go take oxy's?', but trust me, your liver will thank you for feeding it just the opiate and not the acetaminophen, or worse the combination of the two. also keep in mind that i am in no way advocating the abuse of these chemicals, but the proper use of them at therapeutic dosages. don't nobody go blow a ****ing 80 now.

if you can only get a 'prepared' main med (tylenol containing) like percocet or vicodin, there are very easy ways to bypass this problem, save your liver, and kill your pain instead. it's called cold water extraction and can be accomplished by a 4 year old. i'd post a link but i am still under 50posts total and can't post links just yet.

so, google 'cold water extraction' and click on the first result, Harry's Extraction method

this quick little trick can help anyone, not just cyclers, in fact cyclers should be the very last people to do this because if you're really playing it safe you'd stick with the advil.

for those still unconvinced, my best friend lost his dad back when we were in highschool... to tylenol. the guy was a dear friend of mine as well. at 59, after years of tylenol use, his body could not take it any long. he went into a coma while in his hotel room on a business trip, and died 4 days later. he wasn't a drinker, wasn't a partier or drug user, but he did take a lot of ****in tylenol. to this day i stay well the **** away from tylenol and acetaminophen containing preparations

and that 5-6g applies to people with a normal liver, not someone who is cycling a methyl. in terms of liver damage, especially with SD/PP you have to assume your liver is already under the strain of an alcoholic. that's why you can't drink on cycle either.

i also digress, no matter how much asprin you take, you will not cure your back pump. try this
500mg magnesium
3g taurine
1 banana (for the potassium)
a bunch of water.

Everything in moderation my friend..too much of anything will kill you.

agreed. moderation is the key to enjoying the greatest things this world has to offer, opiates being one of them. but for me, there's no going back. 250mg oxy/day aint no cup a tea. anyone out there with an opiate problem... one word of advice... suboxone.

Yeah sure, why not? I've taken painkillers and tranqs while cycling

Well the main reason is because its to much on your heart not only liver. Do this, then check your heart rate see how much it has increased! I know mine went up so high that it was very abnormal that day. went down eventually but scared the livin piss out of me.

well im glad your alright. Its still not good. I even went after a pain killer that has no bad side affects. you get blood work done? You know you cant just look into a mirror and say "well i look ok, today" You might be fine with it. But i wouldnt go around suggesting it. He could talk to his doctor instead. Mentioning that he is on a prhormone cycle and "will this effect it". Yes of coarse "everything in moderation is ok". We all can say this If we are in need of something. But then theres also another saying "Better safe than sorry".

I had HORRIBLE back pumps when I was on epistane. A few grams of taurine a day and I never felt it again

You took Temaril P (trimeprazine tartrate, prednisolone), which is a Prescription for Pets. And you were also on a P-Plex/M-Drol cycle. It's no wonder you had to go to the Hospital. I'm not sure why you are persisting to give advice when you clearly have NO clue what you are talking about.

Not a good idea

I truly wouldn't risk such high powered pain killers for something like back pumps. Try the natural things they suggested, Taurine & Potassium... and drink plenty of water... but those pain killers may add something were not aware of and cause increased liver toxicity (just an example) or kidney troubles... who knows...

I don't think a doctor will be able to tell you if it's ok or not to mix... so don't mention it.

I 2nd suncloud, but if the pumps are that bad take 3g taurine pre and 3g post work out.

HYDROCODONE HAS TYLENOL IN IT. Ibuprofen isn't good either. There is is a reason the label on all those products say"tell your doctor if you have liver disease and/or kidney disease" Because you can do serious damage.

Negative Ghost rider. I do know what im talking about. I used to be an animal technician. Temaril P yes is used for dogs NOW. This pain killer was used multiple times back then and is an older painkiller. Docs still sometimes prescribe it. AND! even if it is used just for dogs, Listen up! MOST OF THE MEDICINE that is used for dogs is from human pharmacies! I do know what im talking about iron lungz. And im sorry you jumped to the conclusion of that. But i guess ignorance is bliss.

Now you are suggesting he goes to the doctor and mentions hes taking PHs? lol...bad idea. Let me tell you something, doctors don't know **** about PHs and can give no advice on how things will counteract with each other. I made this mistake once of telling a doctor a couple years ago, will never make that mistake again. I got bloodwork taken three times, an ultrasound, and a trip to a gastrointestinal doctor only to pass it all with flying colors.

Ok well maybe not go to the doctor i would still take with caution. I think thats all i am trying to say. With experience with me i wont do it again. Not only was it temaril i also had hydro and other crap. This was not taken all at once :P. But I just wanted to make sure that the readers know, that if they are going to go with ph's and painkill's. PROCEED WITH CAUTION! nough said.

I didn't jump...

If you know the MOA of this, then explain to me how two methyls react with it...

Ummmm ok Lets start talking about something that you can school me in... Lol. Iron i have read many of your logs. You said i didnt know squat. I explained the history on the temaril P cause i noticed you were wrong, and you talked down to me. So i backed myself up.
Out of all the Ph logs everyone is always talking about how we need to cycle it right. Especially with the right PCT. This is considering your liver and heart etc. health. All im doing is considering the same thing. Painkillers are known for being hard on your liver and kidneys and circulatory system. This on top of two type prohormones that can be bad on the same thing. Why double the risk? Why make it worse for your body? Cmon man Get off my a$$. Why cant i give advice on something that hurt me. You think im BSing. How would you know?
Ok well im done with this boss, I have made my point. Take it or leave it home skillet.

Ok I asked this before and got no response: What are back pumps? What causes them? One other question: I have a major tooth ache, and I took a Naproxen, can I still take my zma before bed? Thanks for all responses, and sorry for the thread hop. Oh yeah....MERRY CHRISTMAS to all of you. This is my first christmas while on AM, and I look forward to many more. I hope all of you get what you wish for. Thanks for all the support you all have given me since I got on here.

back pumps happens with your liver from taking methyl p.h's.and its caused by your kidneys working overtime trying to cleanse it self from the toxins. It would be first liver that takes the beat down then kidneys, i reccomend taurine and potassium for pumps!MOA's are not good to take during cycles as well as western medicines.

Thnaks for the replies guys, but no one has answered my question as yet: Is it ok to still take my ZMA before bed, even if I take a naproxen pill? Or how soon apart should I take them?
