GT's goin PRIME time!!

Got in and smashed it! Strength and endurance was great!

I will be following the new training routine that i grabbed from Heath (buffhunk29). It should really help me hammer weak points on myself.

Pump and vascularity was huge today, i was doing 6 sets for each exercise and was actualy surprised my endurance was great. I was also sweating like crazy!

Weight today was: 203.5 and i also got a compliment that i am looking bigger, which is always good. :bb3:

So your on day 11 ? You should be seeing some nice strength increases this week. Exciting Times... I am on my last week of a 9 week run and I am glad I opted for a long run even though the best boost in strenth were weeks 3 through 5.. well the best recomp changes seem to be just a couple weeks behind that. I guess that makes sense though.

I think today is day 12, wednesday will be the start of week 2. Yea things seem to be getting easier and with my endurance up I didn't expect my strength to stay up but it did!

What is your new split? The Vironda-Style Power/Power/Rest/Back and Chest/Legs/Arms and Shoulders/Rest?

I say this because Natural BB'ers love that split.

It looks similar.
Its back/chest/shoulders, legs/arms, rest, back, chest, rest, arms. I have it written down, I could be wrong on some of the body parts but that's the gist of it. 6 sets per exercise 6 to 8 reps. Ill be catering it to my weak points which is my back and chest IMO

Yeah, that is Gironda (not Vironda as I said above)!

I tried that, but had more success with this (taken from a Gironda E-Book):

Volume Training v3.0

Split

Day 1: Upper Body (Chest/Back/Shoulders/Arms)
Day 2: Lower Body (Quads/Calves/Hams)
Day 3: Rest
Day 4: Back/Triceps
Day 5: Lower Body Hell day
Day 6: Chest/shoulders/Biceps
Day 7: Rest

They are definately interesting splits, havnt ever done a split like this so I should respond well! Hopefully anyway!

Just be weary: The first week or two seems like it is too much volume training, but it will subside! I am unsure what Heath related [smart guy] but, usually, the second day of training any particular body-part one relegates the intensity to 65%, focusing on form and drive!

If you check out Sporto's log, he details it well!

Definately makes sense. Ill pop into his log and take a look at how he goes about his training.

Alright guys Day 13!

Today was leg day/arm day, and i will just say we didnt make it to arms! We sure as hell smashed the utter sh!t out of legs though!

6 sets squats
6 sets SLDL
4 sets extensions
4 sets single hamstring curls

All i know is i am fuggin beat! I was pumped as **** though and really only suffered near the end as far as endurance goes. Probly the most intense leg session ive had in 6 months!

Wwhheeewwww im beat!!!! Go prime go!

Wow that's a lot of volume, I do like 4 sets of squats and 4 of SLDL's and 4 sets of calf raises on my leg day. I used to do more volume but this less volume thing... I am actually making better gains. Could be the Prime... maybe an age thing I don't know.

I usualy dont train this high volume as such low rep scheme but its my new split i am doing that i grabbed from my buddy Heath.

BTW my legs are like fuggin jello and weak this morning! I love it!

The only thing is that you have to make sure that if you are going natural you get your training regimes from a natural person. The problem is that a lot of advice on training is given by people who may be using steroids, designers or Prohormones which may alter the amount of volume you can handle based on improved recovery due to the drugs. If it works for you great but if you find the volume is too much then that's probably why. I am basically natural so I have learned that I gain better when I go lower volume.

Yea I completely understand what your saying. I actualy before this trained higher volume if you can believe that but instead of 6 sets id do 3, id just do diff exercises, I also trained in the 8-15 rep range where now im in the 6 to 8. I should be ok but if I sense any type of overtraining ill get with heath and see what I should/can do.

Weight last night guys was 204.5 btw.

Interesting..I like this Mullet..what's the volume and rep range per body part if you don't mind expanding on it?

Yah that's pretty good for 13 days...

Im guessing the repartitioning effects of this product are really generous for me. Im not eating a ton of carbs altho i am eating them.

Today is a rest day but i wannnaaaa trainnn although my legs are hating me. I also want to just do cardio to get some blood flow to them.

Light cardio would be fine.

I took yesterday and today off, will definately make it up tomorrow though! My legs are STILL sore as can be!!! Woohooo

My legs are still sore as can be! I decided to take the rest of the week off after tuesday and will hit it hard monday, but I've got a change in mind. I am going to start cutting, as of right now I've had a change of plans and would like to be lighter!

Overtraining isn't an issue with all this rest :D Enjoy the relaxation and have a great holiday!

Hahaha no doubt. My legs are beat to hell, i havnt been this sore in i can ttell you how long but damn did i put my legs through hell!! :djparty:

Sorry for the lack of updates, been super busy with work and havnt even made it to the gym. I also hvnt evne taken prime, i may save the the rest of the bottle and run it once i get closer to the end of my cut as im starting a cut on monday. We shall see, if my strength decides to take a nose dive then ill hop on the Prime.

The run was great and i really enjoyed the product and if i have time will purchase more for a future run!
