Thundergod's Mad Methyl Meltdown!!!

My eagerness and anticipation to train is already increasing already. I know that I'm going to love these shorter sessions. Franco Columbu once said that you can either train hard or train long, but never both. It's impossible. If someone is pulling 2 or 3 hour marathon type workouts, you know the intensity cannot be that high. It just can't. They must be pacing themselves to last this long. I have days set aside to do cardio on. The weight workouts are not about burning fat. They're about building muscle. I have a huge problem trying to restrain my intensity during a session. I have always felt that you should put everything you have into it. Either go hard....or go home. I'll be going even crazier now with these shorter workouts. Count on it. I believe that the poundages will increase (after this 2 week cruise of course) and the results will only improve. I'll have more time allotted to bring up some weak areas. This is what it's all about. Training smarter!!!
good deal t.g,i like how you train with versitility.and always keeping those muscles guessing..experience is truely an art form!when you apply your brush to the pallet!WALLA!..awesome t.g!

That's what I'm screaming! :aargh:

Me thinks some good things are getting ready to transpire up in here.. :bruce1:

I had to drop in to syphon some motivation from you TG. For whatever reason, my motivation to lift after this week off is in the trash. First time in 6-7 months I have not been itching and scratching to get back into the gym after a break!

Uhhhh, don't really understand this remark. Mariusz is 31 yrs. old, born in 1977.. if his heyday of bulking was the 80's, he musta been a pretty bad mofo kid..

I don't like playing the "is he juiced" guessing game. That being said, there are some individuals that are blatantly obvious. He has awesome genetics of course, but that's only half the story. The dead giveaway is his diet. Anybody who wakes up in the middle of the night & munches on 12-16 oz. of chocolate routinely -- and keeps that physique -- well, you do the figuring..

And to clarify, I'm no hater. Mariusz is my fav powerlifter of all time. I admire & remain amazed by the man, he is a phenomenon.

Wow. I feel dumb... I must be mistaking him with another european strongman as the same person, or just thought he was older. Oh well my bad.

If he didn't juice that is incredible.

Well a 5 day split is not used by too many naturals, I have been training naturally from almost all my training days. I dabbled a bit with a few designers but am over that now. I know that I could not handle a 5 day spit naturally. I train lower volume 45 minutes to 1 hour 3 day split. It's been surprisingly successful. My point is, that I believe you will need to use something to help you recover using this kind of protocol.

PCT DAY 39 With PRIME!!

DAMAGE REPORT: Minimal. ha ha No, seriously. I started up my cruise period this morning. And I also started up the less volume/more days 5 day split. So I only had to hit shoulders and forearms. Peice of cake. I have been hitting shoulders right after legs for the last 2 years! That's after those damn widowmakers and heavy ass stiff-legged deadlifts! So starting this workout with shoulders was fantastic. It felt great. And my mood shot up accordingly. I was singing between sets. LOL I have reduced the weights for the next 2 weeks. It's all about recovery during this period. It's considered an active-layoff if you will. So these numbers are way off my norm. I'm just trying to give everyone an idea of what I'm referring to by submaximal intensity. I stop well short ot total muscular failure. Here's what went down: WIMPY NUMBERS## --SHOULDERS--MACHINE SHOULDER PRESSES: 180 X 12. Reduced-150 X 14. Felt easy. I was concentrating on squeezing the muscles and doing really slow reps. ONE-ARM CABLE FRONT RAISES: 60 x 10. Reduced-40 X 12. Using perfect form. A nice pump was coming on now. ONE-ARM CABLE SIDE LATERALS: 60 X 10. Reduced-40 X 12. I'm intent on making some melons!! I want those big round cantaloupe looking delts! ONE-ARM CABLE BENTOVER REAL LATERALS: 70 X 10. Reduced-50 X 12. Smooth reps with nice contractions. Then I thought, what the hel? So I grabbed up 2 40 lb. Dumbells and did a pre-exhaustion set of DB SIDE LATERALS followed immediately with DB SHOULDER PRESSES: 40's X 12 for the laterals and then 15 reps for the presses. I really enjoyed that. FOREARMS--PARALLEL GRIP HAMMER CABLE CURLS: 130 X 10. Reduced 100 X 12. I need to work on my forearms. They're extremely long and hard to fill out. So I have never really bothered. It's time to change that. I used the old triceps blaster bar that I found a month or so ago. I've been doing all kinds of shit with that thing! This is like a hammer machine type grip with the palms facing each other. ONE-ARM DB HAMMER CURLS TO THE INNER CHEST: 50's X 12. And then up to 60's X 10. I think most of you know what I'm referring to here. You hammer curl the DB to the inside along your stomach and up to your lower chest. First time I have ever tried those. And me-likey!! Then ABS-- 3 supersets of KNEELING CABLE CRUNCHES WITH LYING LEG RAISES: 3 supersets of 25 reps each. And that was that! This is going to be a real rejuvenating 2 weeks. Just what I need.

Well, this may not be so motivating for you, considering I just started up the 2-week cruise portion of my modified DC routine. Now I've modified it even more!! Jason Wojo would be so disappointed. ha ha So I've backed off the poundages to give my joints, ligaments, micro muscle tears, CNS, and recuperative powers a much needed break. But this workout was not just going through the motions. I could never stomach doing that. I slowed the rep speed down a lot to increase TUT to the muscles. So I got a very nice workout. I kept a good pace and worked up a decent sweat. I'll be syphoning some knowledge from you very soon regarding my upcoming recomp. I'll PM you to get your input on diet and timing of both nutrition and supplementation. You are a veritable well-spring of information regarding those subjects.

With all of the help, support, and motivation that I get from all of you good people, you know it is!! :woohoo::bb3:

No problem, TG. Also keep in mind that literature reflects that differing rep cadences and motions can have differing effects on satellite cell production and recovery - essentially meaning the fastest pathway to growth is variation!

In terms of the diet, just PM me and we will devise something sinister.

Nice vid. The guy is amazing to say the least. Look how good his physique looks and to be that strong and agile.

So is that all natural? What do you guys think?.. cuz if it is that guy has got some good fckn DNA!!!

i didnt quite get the sledgehammer thru the glass thing....

yeah i know i just hate that everyone lies about it.

they have to lie about it though because of our stupid corrupt government and president bush passing the steriod controll act, and the media blasphemzing gear like its cocaine.

Yeah people that don't do it just think thats the only reason people are strong. They have alot of dedication to what they do and steroids are just a very small part of it.

I rag on the DC guys over at BB.comshot because they get into a religious fervor over it. I appreciate the level headedness of the DC savvy folks here at AM.

BB.comshot, DC jedi's turn me off to it completely, ya'llz here actually make me want to give it another go. I've never done strict HIT or DC, but a hybrid like TG. Not enough volume in DC or Mentzer's HIT for me, but a few tweaks here and there made it top notch.

PCT DAY 40 With PRIME!!

HIIT CARDIO: 25 minutes. Great sweat and loads of energy this morning. I'm feeling good. Did the cardio fasted. Then I ate a big bowl of oatmeal with a banana, plus had a 40 gram whey protein shake with 5 grams of creatine mono, 5 grams of glutamine, 20 grams of dextrose, and 14 grams of EVOO. I sat around relaxing and flexing my muscles. I was pumped! I looked all veiny and shit. It was cool. Muscle hardness and density is greatly improved compared to just 2 months ago. Muscle shape, such as bicep peak and deltoid roundness, has also came along nicely. My muscles appear very full this morning. I just can't stop flexing! Feel very fresh and rejuvenated today. Good day all!!

Usp Labs Prime--final Review

Today was day 40 of using USP Labs PRIME. And it was also the last day. This has been a real pleasurable experience for me. A special thanks to Mulletsoldier for giving me the chance to run it and give my opinion of it. My opinion is totally unbiased. This is my honest evaluation. I have been very surprised at the strength and effectiveness of this product. I try not to pre-judge products by negative feedback on it. I try to withold judgement until I have tried the product for myself. So I don't start doubting a product's abilities the minute I start taking it. I give it the benefit of a doubt until it starts to show some effects. After a full week of using PRIME, I could tell it was working. My mood was greatly improved. Some call it euphoria, while I termed it as a nice "body buzz". I simply felt good and very aware of my body. I was constantly flexing and watching my muscles pump up. My muscle hardness began to improve after 2 weeks. And then came the strength gains. Now everyone needs to realize that I just came off a cycle of Methyl Trienolone. An incredibly strong compound that caused my strength to increase dramatically during the short 3 week cycle of it. So I want to show everyone the strength I gained AFTER the Oral Tren during my 6 week PCT with PRIME. These are the numbers: INCLINE BENCH PRESSES: Before--305 X 9. After--320 X 7. So that's 15 lbs. more but 2 reps less. So I'll call it a 10 lb. gain. FLAT BENCH PRESSES: Before--325 X 8. After--345 X 8. That's a clean 20 lb. gain. MACHINE SQUATS: Before--335 X 20. After 365 X 20. A 30 lb. gain. STIFF-LEGGED DEADLIFTS: Before--335 X 9. After 365 X10. That's a 30 lb. gain with an extra rep as well. LAT PULLDOWNS: Before--300 X 9. After--310 X 9. A nice 10 lb. gain. These poundage increases were performed AFTER my AAS cycle. These increases I will attribute to PRIME as well as to the fact that I was still adjusting to DC type training. This was my second blast cycle and it went extremely well. USP Labs PRIME is a a solid product that does what it claims to do. That is rare these days. I highly recommend it for PCT's or for natty cycles. I saw and felt great results from using this product. PRIME is without a doubt the very best and most effective non-hormonal product that I have ever used.

Your results are almost identical to my own. Right down to the body buzz. I guess were just very positive responders like my son and ex training partner. I still hav 4 weeks I am changing up my routine starting this week, and even though this week there weren't as many increases it's the first time I have been able to be progressive for 5 weeks.

It speaks volumes that you were able to do this during PCT and maintain and even increase your strength.

lol... so I take it that there will never be an "Amero" unit of monetary denomination... it's just going to be called the "mullet" once mullet's conquest is finished. I'm pretty sure it could beat the Euro up.

I must say, i was a bit skeptical of prime......... but, now that i see how well TG has done with it! I am for sure buying some! now all i need is some money!

My interest has been pigued as well..

No, no, just the MSD - Mullet Standard Denomination. Of course, I will give AM.com'ers ranking positions in my treasury, as to ensure their transition from Dollars to MSDs is smooth!

I love how Jewish people have a tendency (and ability) to make jokes about their own stereotypes. If everyone could just learn to laugh about stuff like this the world would be a lot better of a place.

I agree! If you cant laugh at yourself, then you have a problem!!

Hey TG... Seems like a while since we have had a little chit-chat.

How's everything in the Thunderhood? Save any maidens in distress or battle any frost giants lately? :D

I have to say, when Timber and I were working out that you and your nutty workouts were a constant topic of discussion. You motivate the hell out of us! Keep it up brotha.

I decided I'm gonna get a shirt that says "WWTGD" for my deadlift day.

I only hope that I can motivate others here at AM, the way that others here at AM motivate me. You and Timber provide me with much needed workout fuel as well. I remember what you guys were lifting only 5 or 6 months ago. You 2 have come a long way indeed. I have changed my routine somewhat in case you didn't notice it from the top of this page and the page before this one. Instead of 3 overly long brutal sessions, I have changed over to a 5 day split that will lower the overall volume of each workout, thereby allowing me to jack up the intensity even more!! I'm gettin' crazy up in here!! And LOL at the t-shirt idea of "WWTGD". I already told some of my buddies that also workout that I was going to get some of those plastic bracelets that everybody wears and have on them, "WWTGD". I told them that when they miss another workout, I was going to make them wear one!! You and Timber do all the damage possible over the next few days. And, by the way, what are you 2 doing about Thanksgiving? Where are you guys gonna have the feast? Don't forget to forcefeed Timber some Epi and have him watch "Pumping Iron"!! :head:

Curious to see how this new routine treats you. Poor Timber! He has to be around GMG while hes on the sauce, lol! That sucks

Curious to see how this new routine treats you.
In addition to this new routine, I'm tossing around a few ideas of what to use supplement wise for the next 3 weeks while I'm waiting to start up that recomp in Mid-December. I'm thinking about breaking out my transdermal Formestane for a few weeks to lean me up! I'll keep on taking the Resveratrol, Icariin, Testofen, and then my usual supps like fish oil, policosanol, Vitamin C, Zinc, and Vitamin B6. Plus my stims!! Gotta have my speed brutha!!

Lol, with your work outs I'd say you definitely need your stims! lmao! Best of luck on this! BTW, I don't remember if you stated your goals for your recomp. Mind telling me what they are? BF% mostly?

Well, about 5 pages back in this thread people were guessing my bodyfat percentage just from looking at my most recent photos. Most of the replies suggested that I was around 10%. If that is true, then I want to lower it to around 8% by the end of January. Shouldn't be that difficult!!

I think 1% a month is a good rate for recomp so that's right on the money. You avoid a lot of the unpleasantries this way. The only thing I don't know is how low can one go while recomping. When do we hit a brick wall. I know that supps are helping to do this as well. Keep Test high and even more important at our age keep Estrogen low. I have a couple of months of PGH left too this helps with weight management as well. The whole point for me is to able to avoid hard core dieting and live a close to normal life while improving my body composition over the lang haul. It's working so far.

good it worked on you my friend, by the way I dunno if you already post but the log is very long to check everything , what will it be your next cycle and when?
I'm not really sure on when or what my next hormonal/PH/PS or AAS cycle will be. I've got a recomp planned starting in mid-December. After that, who knows? I'm tossing around several ideas though. I'm giving a lot of consideration into doing a LG Sciences stack of T-911 and their Slin product. It will like an extension of my recomp actually. But there's several things on the table at this moment. For these next 3 weeks though I am going to be taking Resveratrol @2 grams, Icariin @2 grams, Testofen @2 grams, and my transdermal Formestane/Trione combo. The Formestane will be dosed at 100 mg. per day while the Trione is dosed at 200 mg. per day. I've just took my morning's doses of it all and I am about to hit the weights in an hour!! I'm ready to kick some major ass this morning!!:hammer:

Curious to see how this new routine treats you. Poor Timber! He has to be around GMG while hes on the sauce, lol! That sucks

It looks like I am getting off the sauce. The mdrol has done the same to me that it did to Timber. I am gonna write more up about it on my log.

3 Week Formestane Bridge Cycle--day 1

REDUCED WEIGHT/REDUCED INTENSITY CRUISE PERIOD: I wouldn't feel right calling this a war report! I did NOT take any of these sets to failure. This is my "active-layoff" time. But I did get a nice workout with great pumps and nice slow reps with intense contractions. Here's how it went down. CHEST--FLAT BENCH PRESSES: 275 X 12. Reduced--225 X 12. Reduced--205 X 15. I rested a full minute between sets. I don't want anyone to think these are drop sets by me using the term "reduced". PEC-DECK FLYES: 180 X 12. Reduced--150 X 12. Slow and steady baby! PULLOVERS: 110 X 12. Reduced--90 X 12. KNEELING ONE-ARM CABLE CROSSOVERS: 60 X 12. Reduced--50 X 12. STANDING PEC-DECK FLYES: 150 x 18. REDUCED--130 x 15. MACHINE INCLINE PRESSES: 220 X 12. And another set of 220 X 12. ABS--SUPERSET KNEELING ROPE CRUNCHES WITH LYING LEG RAISES: 3 sets of 20 reps each. I can see right now that I'm going to love this new 5 day split routine! :woohoo::dance:

Don't know about the remade version of the song there, but the song itself has been played in many of my workouts! And I love that vid, shows a bunch of good clips thru the Rocky years. Sly's my boy.. Dolph Ludgren just turned 50 recently.. man, was Rocky IV that long ago?? I'm feeling pretty dated..

Nice Prime review TG, way to put it to the test (no pun intended, aha)..
