Help me expand my movie collection

I'm bad at thinking of movies to get, so I turn to you all for help. My favorite genre is comedy, followed by action/suspense and then everything else. Not terribly fond of scary/horror but some are alright. Reps for those who come up with good ones, LOL as if that's some sort of incentive.

Boondock Saints ( you must get this movie)
Young Guns
Tombstone
Frailty
Field of Dreams
Mr. Brooks

Just a couple I could think of.

Damn, I was going to say Boondock Saints and Tombstone...

As far as comedy, I liked both Harold and Kumar movies.

Edit: Just noticed that Boondock Saints is under "THE Boondock Saints."

13th Warrior
We Were Soldiers
The Departed

just a couple of my favs

he has boondock saints. its hidden under "the"

how about "the usual suspects", "batman begins", or "300"? more when my memory returns.

I can get recently released movies, too.
Good ideas thus far.
I should say that I'm not a fan of westerns or anything older than late 80s LOL
I DO like war movies.

Grandma's Boy (funniest movie I've ever seen, ever.)
Topgun
40 year old virgin

-Scary Movie 1 & 2

-The South Park Movie

-If you like boxed sets, then i HIGHLY recommend "Band Of Brothers."

I see your truffle shuffle and raise you Family Guy

Quit shitting on my thread. Make your own goonies thread you boobs!

I like bewbs!

If i recall, didn't you **** on one of mine in the past.......:whip:

Alright, back to buisness. I also recommend Bad Santa if you don't have it.

All this 80s nostalgia reminds me, where's The Karate Kid?! And now that I'm on the Ralph Macchio tangent, where's My Cousin Vinny?!

Yeah but you're you and I'm me.

That's a negative on karate kid LOL

Yeah...I'll agree with that, but you can't deny that My Cousin Vinny was great.

I forget what it's called, but he did a movie recently with Artie Lange. I think it went straight to dvd. It was pretty brutal.

Beer League? It's worth seeing, especially for free.

Transformers.....A must have. Megan Fox says so too.

LIST OF WHAT I AM PLANNING ON GETTING
Swordfish
American Psycho
Blackhawk Down
Batman Begins
Good movies - get 'em
Field of Dreams
Really enjoyed it, but a very odd ride

Saving Private Ryan
This one's good - but most of the best is in the first 30 minutes and the last 30.
I HIGHLY recommend "Band of Brothers". Effing BRILLIANT - but watch "Ryan" first

The Patriot
VERY disappointed w/ this - a shame, really. Better than the truly awful "Revolution", though...

Goodfellas
Well-made, and really good in places, but I couldn't watch it a second time
Highly recommend "Donnie Brasco" instead - vastly better movie IMO:
(better cast, more gripping, Depp / Pacino / Madsen / Kirby)

The Matrix
The Matrix Reloaded
The Matrix Revolutions
A lot o' people slam parts 2 & 3, but to me it's just one movie -
and has to be watched as such (or just watch the first) -
part 1 is the only part that makes sense on its own

Here is what I have:

300
wow!

Apocalypse Now
If you haven't seen "Apocalypse Now Redux," give it a shot - yes, it's longer,
but the whole thing ties together better, makes it a better movie (I think)

Disturbia
mini-review, please? still trying to decide on this one

Fight Club
outstanding - must-have!

Gangs of New York
ditto

Hancock
Would love to hear your opinion of Hancock!

The Big Lebowski
Have a look @ Barton Fink, O Brother, and Miller's Crossing the Coens rule!

The Illusionist
Is this the Edward Norton / Paul Giamatti? (*slaps head*) - D'oh! 'Course it is. great movie!
Now, go watch "The Prestige" (Christian Bale / Hugh Jackman / David Bowie) - *awesome* movie -
one that will haunt you a little (but not in a slasher kind o' way)

The Shawshank Redemption
Best Stephen King EVAR

Troy
REALLY good - 1000x the dreadful "Alexander"

V for Vendetta
a little stagey / preachy - but freakin' EXCELLENT

I had so many ideas after reading your :To Get list, and then I hit your "Already Owned" list lol!

You're missing:
3:10 To Yuma (I know you hate westerns, but this isn't one really)
Ratatouille (It's so great you obviously have it and just forgot to list it:)

Also I rather enjoyed Pursuit of Happyness, but it's more of a nice-message movie. Last Samurai is one of my favourites. Your list is pretty exhaustive of my favourites actually. Pan's Labyrinth was different but enjoyable; Hellboy 2 was pretty decent too.
