PCT DAY 36 With PRIME!!

DAMAGE ASSESSMENT: Total annihilation! No surviving muscle cells left on the battlefield! :twisted: I am going to skip the small-talk and jump on into the abyss--NUMBERS ## CHEST--INCLINE BENCH PRESSES: 320 x 7-4-2=13 total reps. Up 5 lbs. but down 1 rep. I couldn't quite complete that eighth rep on the first part of the set. Back off at 225 X 16. I had to do an extra rep here to make up for it. You know ol' Thunda ain't going down like that!! :hammer: ha ha PEC-DECK FLYES: 230 x 12. Same as last week. I'm not trying top be crazy on flye movements anyway. With this 2 year-old torn right pec, there's no sense in risking another injury to it. I just concentrate on form and getting good contractions. That's what flyes are for anyway. Showing off is what got me injured in the first place. Back off at 150 X 21. Oh yeah. That pumped dem bitches up!! :mad: PULLOVERS: 160 X 12. Same as last week. It's definitely time for my 2 week cruise period. Back off at 100 x 20. I like how these not only hit my lower pecs, but they also pump up my lats in the process, and even the entire shoulder girdle. KNEELING ONE-ARM CABLE CROSSOVERS: 70 X 12. These were done from the lower pulley to hit the upper pecs more directly. And back off at 50 X 18. Awesome feel. I may stick with these for a few weeks to adjust to them. And to move the weight up. STANDING PEC-DECK FLYES: 150 x 25 REPS!! Great way to finish off the chest. TRICEPS--STANDING TRICEPS BLASTER BAR PUSHDOWNS: 200 X 9-5-3=17 total rep. Up 10 lbs. from last week! Hel yeah. Back off at 130 X 18. This bar is like using a hammer grip for pushdowns with the palms facing in towards each other. I love the way these feel. SEATED ONE-ARM CABLE EXTENSIONS: 100 X 11. Back off at 60 X 20!! Smokin'!! :smite: REVERSE-GRIP PUSHDOWNS: 150 x 15. PR!! Up 1 rep anyways. I'll claim it. Back off at 100 X 20. Fierce contractions here. And then to finish up I did ONE-ARM DB EXT. BEHIND HEAD: 50 x 15. And that was a rap! This was the last week of blasting. Next week the weights will be reduced for a 2 week cruise period that will be considered an active-layoff. A time to recuperate, rejuvenate, and heal. Those workouts won't be much to read about, but I'll log the weights used anyway to give everyone an idea of what a cruise looks like. Keep fighting the good fight, warriors of the Realm!! :duel:

Changes

I wanted to list a few changes that I made this morning in regards to my pre-workout nutrition and supplementation protocol. Most of you know that I usually eat a big bowl of oatmeal and drink a whey shake 2 hours before my workout. And then later I drink one of my original Thundergod's Lightening Strike pre-workout drinks about 45 minutes prior to training. I use Six Star's N.O. Fury as a base and add in 2 grams of Cordyceps, 2 grams of CEE, 2 grams of DiCreatine Malate, and 6 extra grams of Beta-Alanine on top of the 2 grams already in the N.O. Fury, and an ECA stack with some extra Yohimbine HCL on the side! I know: :fool2: That usually kicks me right in the gut. It hits the stomach very hard. I feel somewhat nauseous during my workouts sometimes. So this morning I changed some things. I ate the big bowl of oatmeal 2 hours before training as usual. But I held off on that whey shake until after my stimmed-out pre-workout drink. 15 minutes after the drink. I also added some honey and 25 grams of dextrose to this whey shake. I haven't jumped on the Waxy Maize Starch bandwagon yet, but I will. So I used some dextrose instead. It worked of course. That shake settled my stomach and gave me some awesome pumps during my workout! Also, I want to add that I substituted the N.O. Fury with a sample of ALRI's WTF Pump'd that Iron Lungz sent me. And I took 1 cap of ALRI's Venom Hyperdrive 3.0 that he sent me on top of my ECA stack!! I was ****in' amped for this battle!!! :woohoo::dance: I'll stick with this protocol for a good while to come. It was a totally successful experiment!! :thumbsup:

Piston, I wasn't trying to be a smart-ass earlier. I am actually considering taking a camcorder with me to a public gym that a friend of mine goes to during my next blast cycle. But no cameras are allowed inside the sacred Temple of Bilskinir. So be patient. It will be a month or so.

solid workout brotha!
It felt great too! I had that "gym high" that you speak of. It is an incredible feeling of invincibility. Nothing can stand in your way. I love it!! And I fixed my unsettled stomach syndrome from the pre-workout drink and stims. I will now take them 45 minutes pre-workout, but will follow it up with that whey shake 15 minutes afterwards, or a half an hour prior to training. It worked great!!

For sure. I want to see what 6' and 2 lbs. looks like.. :blink:

Nice damage there TG, as usual. Stand down & rest up soldier. And nice props to Mariusz, he is da man no doubt. :dl:

I have to rest!! The Berzerker Rage has left me very drained. ha ha It's all good though. No pain...no gain!! Mariusz is a true wonder. He is the complete package. Strength, size, power, agility, speed,..... and an incredible physique to boot!! :bb3:

and his diet is insane. a dozen eggs for breakfast, 2-3 pounds of bacon, and snacks on candy all day. genetically, he's one in a billion.

I wanted to give a quick post and shout-out to Mariusz Pudzianowski for winning a record breaking 5 title wins at the 2008 Met-RX World's Strongest Man Competition. He is now the undisputed strongest man in the world!! Congrats Mariusz!! This is the post I copied from the article: Mariusz Pudzianowski of Poland took home a historic fifth World's Strongest Man title after trumping American Derek Poundstone in the final heat. All 10 finalists successfully lifted the five Atlas Stones in five heats, backed by their national flags and two flaming cauldrons.

He is indeed deserving of it ! I've been a big fan of his since he first entered the ranks around 2002. The article on him in FLEX magazine a couple years back was truly entertaining, and getting a look at his example diet and training routines was much appreciated. He's a beast, and to be able to trump a sport such as STRONGMAN for half a decade !? Impressive !

Check out jonnhie jackson offseason diet!

Meal1= 12 donuts,6 glazed,6 chocolate, 1 bottle of sprite.
meal2= mcdonalds-steakbagelmeal,bottle of sprite.
meal3= eggs,potatoes,pancakes.
meal4= mcdonalds-2 quarter pounders with cheese fries, 2 apple pies, sprite
meal5 and meal 6 same as meal 4.

This was posted a looong time ago, around 2004 I believe. It was supposed to be Johnnie Jacksons offseason diet. Also published in a couple of magazines. Johnnie Jackson himself said (in 2004) that it was true but he was going to eat alot more clean in the future.

Could you imagine doing that on a daily basis! Get the toe tag ready....

And on top of that he is pumping himself full of god knows what chemicals!

Hey TG how are you godfather of darscha? hope you are keeping well, just dropping by to say hello, and to post a link to my new thread where i need your support, Take care Russian

thats ****ing gross!!

If I did that for one day I would flat line.

Motivation Time!!!

It's time to pull out all the stops as this is the last week of my blast cycle. No holding back. No retreat....no surrender!! Time to finish strong!! Invalid Link Removed

Nice vid. The guy is amazing to say the least. Look how good his physique looks and to be that strong and agile.

So is that all natural? What do you guys think?.. cuz if it is that guy has got some good fckn DNA!!!

i didnt quite get the sledgehammer thru the glass thing....

F*CK NO. Ok, wait... powerlifter from Poland... His heyday of bulking would have been the 80's... Yea, the dude did some juice. Maybe not so much anymore, but natural he is not.

Uhhhh, don't really understand this remark. Mariusz is 31 yrs. old, born in 1977.. if his heyday of bulking was the 80's, he musta been a pretty bad mofo kid..

I don't like playing the "is he juiced" guessing game. That being said, there are some individuals that are blatantly obvious. He has awesome genetics of course, but that's only half the story. The dead giveaway is his diet. Anybody who wakes up in the middle of the night & munches on 12-16 oz. of chocolate routinely -- and keeps that physique -- well, you do the figuring..

And to clarify, I'm no hater. Mariusz is my fav powerlifter of all time. I admire & remain amazed by the man, he is a phenomenon.

PCT DAY 38 With PRIME!!

WAR REPORT: I annihilated my legs!! :twisted: And then my CNS annihilated me. :sad: I was so stimmed out that it wound up being counter-productive. I'm sure some of you know what I mean. Add on top of this my intense routine and then the Berzerker Rage and I was spent after doing legs. I WILL do shoulders tomorrow! You can count on that. In fact, I'm going to totally restructure my routine. It's getting harder and harder to pour this much effort into a 3 day a week weight routine where I have to group together body parts like Chest, Triceps, and Forearms one day, Back, Traps, and Biceps on another day, and then finally Legs, Shoulders, and Calves on that last day!! Too much!! I'm going to revise this with a 5 day split of Chest one day, Bi's and Tri's on one day, Back and Traps on one day, Legs and Calves on one day, and finally Shoulders and Forearms on the fifth and last day. And I will be adding extra sets and exercises to this routine! Sounds good. In fact I already feel better just by thinking about it. LOL But for now let's dive into this morning's NUMBERS ## LEGS--LEG EXTENSIONS: 200 X 14. Up 1 rep. Intense as all get out too. Back off at 100 X 22. Felt like I had a blow-torch on 'em!! What a burn. MACHINE SQUATS--WIDOWMAKERS: 365 x 20. Same as last week. But it did feel somewhat easier. Still very brutal. Try 'em and see for yourself! Back off at 225 X 15. STIFF-LEGGED DEADLIFTS: 365 X 10. Same as last week. Back off at 225 X 15. Slow and excruciating. STANDING ONE-LEGGED HAMSTRING CURLS: 120 X 11. Up 1 rep. Very hard set though. Back off at 60 X 23. Ooh Yeah!! :head: Love it. DB LUNGES: 40's X 12 reps. And this is where I knew I was fading. ha ha Felt very fatigued and nauseous too. I actually started warming up my shoulders when I knew it would be better to end this session and hit them up tomorrow when I'm fresh. No reason for that second bodypart to suffer just because you spent all of your energy and power on the first one. It's time for my 2 week cruise period now of using submaximal weights for less than all-out intensity. This will be considered as an active-layoff. The only kind I care to take! Stay tuned tomorrow for the beginning of the new split routine!! Keep battling on fighters of the Realm!! :duel:

I agree with you snagency. I don't like to play the "who's juicing who" game!! LOL I could care less really. It still boils down to how hard and how smart one trains. And diet of course. Trust me, there are no magic beans. Not D-Bol, Test, nor even Tren. If you don't have heart and soul, you won't succeed no matter what you take. Bottom line. And besides, it becomes increasingly hypocritical of people who have taken anything hormonal to criticize others who may have taken illegal AAS before. Mariusz is a beast no matter what he "supplements" with!!

i completely agree TG. i make very hard workouts for cycles, then back off a bit after PCT, so i don't completely burn out.

i can only imagine doing lunges with 40 lb DB's after that workout. whats your usual recovery time for legs? 4-5 days?

I only hit each body part once a week giving them a full 7 days to fully recover. I will still do this. But I will go to that 5-day split starting tomorrow! I'm getting excited just thinking about it! I also carried out this blast cycle too long. Usually one blasts for 6 to 8 weeks and then does the 2-week cruise. I carried this blast out for 10 weeks!! :eek: In the words of Homer Simpson: Doh!!:frustrate

New Routine!!

Here's the breakdown of the new 5-day split routine that I will start tomorrow. I got so excited writing this out! I almost feel like working out again! Almost. ha ha Here it is: SATURDAY: Shoulders and Forearms. SUNDAY: Off day. MONDAY: Chest. TUESDAY: Triceps and Biceps. WEDNESDAY: Back and Traps. THURSDAY: Off day. FRIDAY: Legs and Calves. And then repeat. There is a method to my madness. I have an off day on Sunday before hitting up a big bodypart like my Chest. Then I hit up Tri's and Bi's on Tuesday. Not overly heavy and they're small bodyparts. This will be good because I'll hit up Back and Traps on Wednesday which will be heavy and uber-intense. Then I have another off day on Thursday to allow me to recover before hitting up Legs and Calves on Friday. Then I follow this up with smaller bodyparts like Shoulders and Forearms on Saturday. This spit makes a lot of sense to me. And my HIIT cardio will be done on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays along with ab work. Let's Rock It!! :head:

Well stated sir.. :box:
What do you think of my newly revised 5 day split snagency? Sounds better than the 3 day split I've been doing. My workouts have been going for an hour and a half. Too long. Very catabolic and cortisol is going through the roof. This new routine should allow me to pour my heart and soul into some 45 minutes Berzerker Rages!!!

oh i agree and i wasnt critisizing him at all. I was just wondering because if he never juiced or hasnt for a very long time that would be even more crazy of a feat. Im not cutting down his accomplishments or anything because you could juice a guy to the gills and he wouldnt even get close to him. i just wonder if juice plays an active part. And you cant say it doesnt help because honestly 2g of test ew, tren and some halotestin would help alot, good diet and training habits or not!

about the split i would put tris with shoulder day and bis with chest and make it a 4 day split. you could add another day with just abs calves cardio...

T.G. I don't know a 5 day split on Prime may burn you out... oh but your at the end of your Prime run so maybe it won't be so bad. I gotta tell you my 3 day is killing me and I need my rest days.

Thanks for the input guys. I'm going to try out the 5-day split first though. It closely resembles one of Dorian Yates' old routines. I'll be able to pour even more intensity in these shorter sessions. If I feel the need, I will try out your suggestion Piston. I actually thought about a 4-day split before deciding on the 5 day routine. So, I'm not counting it out just yet. And I knew you weren't criticizing Mariusz. And yes, the anabolics will make a decided difference. I truly do think he uses them also. I just don't want people to think that it's all due to steroids alone. He trains like a mad man!! He deserves every bit of the credit he gets. He is after all the Met-RX's Strongest Man in the World winner!! 5 times no less. He's the first man to do it. It's going to be a very long time before someone beats that record!

i don't know if this would be up your alley or not, but you could try a 4 day split, and throw a total body workout at the end of this.

the total body workout wouldn't be heavy weights, but would be moderate weights, the bigger compound movements like olympic lifts, clean and press, etc. this would help your muscles work in concert with one another, which would improve certain skills - like throwing ightning bolts at he heathens!

Juice or not-Mariusz has it dialed in better than others and that takes alot of sweat and discipline. That is where he gets my respect. Just like you TG. You put heart and soul into this and I respect the hell out of that. Rest was much earned on this one big man. Like DreamW I had to go to a 3 day split when the years kept adding up. You young guns can just pound and pound.

Young gun??!! Me? You do see my age under my avi, right? I'll be 45 in a few months. But I do feel young anyway. Almost everyone I meet assumes I'm in my early 30's or something. I love it!! :head:

45 years young! I still felt young at that age. The closer five-o gets the longer it seems to heal. I really had to pull back in the last year. Now I tend more towards higher rep sets and only 3 days a week. It is all good (:~p

Ditto I was pretty spry ant 45 not that it's that much worse but adjustments need to be made. One thing i have noticed however... decreased volume can lead to increased results over the long haul. I would look into decreased volume and increased intensity to shorten workouts.

This is exactly why I'm changing my routine. Instead of 3 very long and draining workouts, I will have 5 much shorter workouts to do. And with even greater intensity!! The 4-day split would have been 4 long workouts. Still too catabolic in my opinion. You have to weigh it all out. I truly believe that I will recover better and be able to put more into my sessions this way. I will have only 3 truly grueling workouts to contend with. Back, Chest, and Leg days. The Shoulder day and the Arms day will seem like a break! And I will be able to better train forearms, calves, and abs. Which I have admittedly been slacking on. So it's time to bring them up to par. This is going to be good. I'm getting stoked here!! Tomorrow it begins!!! :twisted:

You know he benched 400lbs at 16...he is the same age as one of my brothers and they both have relatives in zakopan in poland, my brother says that when they were younger he used to take 5-8 dbol before a training session, i still respect him, other guys take loads of gear and have nothing to show for it, he has his diet and training spot on, and he is as disciplined as a celibate glamour model. Reminds me of TG, not the glamour model bit......

I have decreased the volume alot. I am doing 3 warm up sets and then the final DC rest pause set for that muscle group and that is it. That DC set is everything I have and I am finished with that muscle. I have put on 12 lbs in 2 years in my late 40's and I just started researching and trying supplements this last year. B/A and creatine made a good impact!! Playing with cordyceps at the moment and I just finished with some Dermacrine(great stuff). Figuring out what works is the fun part.

Dude, love the new layout. In fact, it's very similar to my own current scheme, just my days line up differently (Sun & Wed off). I've long been a proponent of shorter workouts (esp. as I've aged - I don't have to do what I did when I was younger to keep things rolling, I train a bit smarter now! ;)), mine rarely go past 45 minutes, and that's usually when I'm resting longer between sets in power/strength modes. If I'm in hypertrophy or cutting mode & not doing cardio at the back end of a w/o, I like to get done 30-40 minutes, stretching & warmups included. It's a pretty intense pace thruout. But long gone are the days when I hit the weights for 90 minutes or longer..can't do it anymore.

My eagerness and anticipation to train is already increasing already. I know that I'm going to love these shorter sessions. Franco Columbu once said that you can either train hard or train long, but never both. It's impossible. If someone is pulling 2 or 3 hour marathon type workouts, you know the intensity cannot be that high. It just can't. They must be pacing themselves to last this long. I have days set aside to do cardio on. The weight workouts are not about burning fat. They're about building muscle. I have a huge problem trying to restrain my intensity during a session. I have always felt that you should put everything you have into it. Either go hard....or go home. :twisted: I'll be going even crazier now with these shorter workouts. Count on it. I believe that the poundages will increase (after this 2 week cruise of course) and the results will only improve. I'll have more time allotted to bring up some weak areas. This is what it's all about. Training smarter!!! :thumbsup:
