First off, they're awesome. Expensive, but awesome. I bought a small shirt, although I usually wear a medium or a large in shirts, but surprisingly, it fits well. I'm going to order a few more shirts off their site, and I'm wondering which size to order. The reason I wear larges sometimes is because they sit well on the chest and make me look bulkier, in a way, and I'm thinking the quality shirts Affliction makes would complement this. Which size should do you think I should order?
 
I think affliction shirts are stupid. Don't try and tell me people don't buy them to walk around trying to say "I'm a badass" without actually saying it. Might as well take a white T and write "I think I can kick your ass" on it.
 
If you haven't worn one, you can't say that. They're so comfortable and high quality it's ridiculous. Their prints are unbelievable, too.

I can't stand either one man, to each their own I suppose.

I rest my case. I too hate these. Irish knows the southside where i am. and if he knows Bourbon street, and how some of the southside douchebags act. I see about 8 affliction shirts a day and wanna walk up to each one and do a few things....

1. ask them if they fight legit and/or are sponsored.
2. Punch them in the face.
3. ask them if they have a job or if mommy pays for it(sometimes)

Awesome stuff, and you wont walk into a bar and see 5 guys wearing the same thing.

They were cool at first, but go to any MMA event and you see morons wearing them that think they know the sport, most of the guys I've sat around at these events have no clue what they are talking about.. point in case: at UFC 90, there was a "gangsta" sitting behind me during the Anderson Silva/Cote fight, went it went to round 3, he was saying "silva better put it on him, this is the last round" and kept arguing with his buddy, that realized it was a 5 round fight, that he was wrong, it was 3 rounds, not 5 rounds. This was just one of the conversations I heard.. I dont mind commentary during a fight, but at least know WTF you are talking about before you open your mouth. I seriously wanted to punch the guy at the end of the night.
 
id never heard of these so i checked out their site. What crap looking tees they got on there. Only people below the age of 12 wear clothes with huge labels and prints on them.
 
Just so you know man, every girl I have ever talked to thinks that guys who wear Affliction Ts look like douche bags. And I agree. So if you think they are comfortable enough to pay a way high price and look like a douche, then go for it man.

This is how I feel. I have a hard time buying t-shirts for that very reason. It's the trend to have big logos and lots of crazy designs. Most of the t-shirts I wear are Ralph Lauren with a tiny little logo on the left side. I have a couple shirts from different bands that I like, but other than that, plain as can be.
 
It's funny, I always see the weakest of men wearing the strongest apparel. Perhaps these men should focus more toward building their inner selves, and less toward pounding iron, tweaking engines, and shrinking tough shirts. How do I know the men I see are weak do you ask? I simply see it. My whole life, I've had nothing but time to think and observe. I didn't necessarily always know what it was I was seeing. That took time. I can now see people and their worth at a glance.

P.S.- Sorry for the rhetoric, but think buying this kind of apparel through. Not saying to not buy it, but don't buy it for the wrong reasons.

Yeah, now that you mention it, me too. Good lookin' out there. And the guys that wear em' are ALWAYS weak. And I don't just mean they lack brawniness and whatnot, as that's not nearly as powerful as the mind. It's ironic. I guess they think it hides their weakness(es). It's funny that they think they've found an even easier way than lifting weights. The funny thing is, I can see weak men who wear muscle as a tough shirt as well.
 
Why buy over-priced Affliction shirts when you can buy a trendy XXL Abercrombie shirt that fits a kid who typically wears a size S? Then you can go around telling ppl you wear a XXL and think yer huge. That's confidence right there and you can get the Abercrombie punch card so after you buy 15 rad shirts, you get the 16th at 10% off!

Looks like you've been there/done that before. Hahahaha. Me, myself, I find that plain ol' t's fit great. Banana Republic Basic Crew (L) all the way.
 
I used to love affliction shirts a couple years ago. They do fit great and the designs remind me of tattoo's. I bought about 4 or 5, then within a few months i started seeing everybody wearing them, that was it i couldn't wear the anymore. I found where you can get the same t-shirts but just blank. I thought about making my own shirts but **** it I'll just rock the plain ones in different colors.

In order to wear a shirt you have to have intimate knowledge of anything it portrays?

You can't have a shirt if other people like them too?

You have to wear clothes that make your physique look worse instead of better?
I went to the affliction site and I like a lot of those designs and they look comfortable. Wear what you want to wear and **** everyone else unless they are paying for your clothes...

Oh, if someone wearing an affliction shirt makes you think about actually walking up to them and saying stupid ****, then the douchebag award is won by you.

Statistically speaking, a strong majority of those wearing Affliction shirts are 100% douchebag. I'm just going by the math, dude...
 
My bad, didn't know there was an affliction douchebaggery study going on.

I need to parse these studies to figure out which tee I can purchase without being a douchebag... So far i'm leaning towards Hollister.
 
I was just reading that Randy's wife had a restraining order put out on the president of affliction. Personally i have no problem with people who wear their stuff, I dont wear any of it. Really dont see how all these things could be said about a company thats just trying to make a buck.

i'm still thinking "douchebaggery" is some funny S*#T. hilarious thread. who knows if the T's weren't 45 bucks or whatever i might have one...but to me that's.....alot of 3packs
 
Oh, and MrBrightside, I'm sure you fall into the non-douche category. You seem like a good dude; however, I must warn you, it's a slippery slope. I'd get out while you still can.
 
if your a big guy people wanna fight you no matter what your wearing. I can go out to a bar with an affliction or tap out T on and I get looks and people will bump into or talk **** just to start start a fight or I can wear a regular polo or a button down and people will do the same thing. People always wanna fight the big guy like they have something to prove.

The affliction stuff from a few years back were nice shirts I think now they are getting a little gay and played out. Its not that bad in the boston area yet.
 
I still don't see how these are cliche. Everyone and their mother wears Tapout...I have seen absolute 0 people wearing Affliction.

Fair enough, they're for douchebags. But my $9 Plato's Closet Affliction shirt stays.

Alright, youngbuck. I'll clear this up. They both convey the same exact message. I don't know which came first, Aflliction or Tapout, but I can only assume Tapout did. Well, Tapout came and got played out/gheyed out. And Affliction is nothing more than a copy of the same image, which is even more played out/gheyed out.
 
Nah, Ohio suburbs. I'm not even a hermit- I just haven't seen one person wearing an Affliction shirt. I first noticed the foil tee that Bernard Hopkins was wearing after the Jermain Taylor fight some time ago, and thought it looked nice. =/

I see a handful of people wearing affliction... not a horrible amount in wisconsin... they sell it at the buckel which is all overpriced so i cant justify buying that shxt

but in any case i just picked up 3 FORGED shirts... most of you probably havent heard of them but they are an awesome company and have similiar designs... the great thing about FORGED is that its owned by 2 former Navy seals and every one of their shirts has some sort of military meaning behind it and all sales has a proceit going to non profit military organizations... as well their new team gold shirt which all the profit goes the families of 3 navy seals that got killed earlier this year

anyways enough ranting... me being a former Marine make me whole heartedly appreciate a brand that stands for our military

I live in a college town and I see tons of frat d-bags wearing both. You automatically lose credibility in my book if you were either, especially at a bar.

first off when they first came out i liked most of the designs.
they are expensive and the material is so thin its like wtf am i paying for? i never picked one up because the sizes were too small and the price was just out of hand for a ragged thin piece of cloth with designs on it. its got a nice style to it if you ask me and since we are comparing it to tapout i see no comparison besides the fact they sponsor mma sh1t. tapout just looks cheap and corny. Alot of people dont associate affliction with fighters unless you are wearing a fighter signature shirt. Not too much people have these shirts where im at either. Guess its played out where most of you live and i guess you have alot of douches in your neighbor hood or whatever but if this guy likes the shirts let him go. I see alot of people that think they are tough in a regular hanes shirt or are douches in a button up shirt i dont think affliction carries that stereotype. Ed hardy..........no that is just for homosexuals, seriously.
