I want to cap

and I don't mean drive by Invalid Link Removed

I was looking at NP's capping kits, and I'm going to assume that "0" and "00" are distinctions of caps sizes??? Or.....??? I was looking at the delux kits because they come with a scale, I don't know if it's cheaper to buy a food scale from Walmart or Ralph's or I'm not sure where or is it worth it to just dish out the extra dollos on a delux kit (is a scale truly necessary?).

Also, do you buy your caps from NP? I looked at their caps selection and I saw a bunch of gel caps, but the picture looked like fish oil caps and some other NP one's have no pictures. I need empty caps right? to fill with bulk powders with, not gel caps? Do you inject into gel caps or what? and what are tampers? When buying a bag of caps, do they normally come with tampers?

I'm completely oblivious to the self cap system. Please help with detailed yet simple answers (if possible).

Buy the 0 deluxe kit, that's what I got. However, look into scales elsewhere if you want to save a couple of bux; I got the $39.99 scale (max weight of 50g, in .01 g increments) at NP, and I've seen it cheaper numerous other places.

Buy the Deluxe Capping kit, it comes with a tamper. Basically, assemble the Capping Kit, break open the caps (pull it apart) and stuff the larger tip in the holes provided in the capping rack.

In my experience, i can never fill O caps with more than 500-550mg of ingredient, no matter how much I'm tampering and pressing down, so fill up the Capping Kit with 50 empty cap-halves, mix your ~25-30 grams of powder (if you do a combination of powders or just ONE) and begin pouring it over the caps. Pour little by little, use a credit card to drag the ingredient across the top of the caps (so ingredient falls into and fills up bottom half of cap) and then tamper and press.

Repeat until you have stuffed the majority of the powder (the 25-30 grams) into the caps and you can no longer tamper them more. Then put the top half of the caps on, squeeze them on there, and undo the capping rack.. You've now successfully made 50 caps @ ~500-550 mg /each.

[I hope my explanation makes sense .. I had no idea it'd be that complicated to explain in black on white . . i.e. when typing it, lol]

Yes, "0", "00", and "000" denotes the size of the capsules.

I bought my scale on ebay for $5. I couldn't find one at stores or online for anything under $25.

I never capped before, but am about to start, so I couldn't give you advice on the actual process.

What size caps do most people buy? 0, 00, or 000? Or is that really a personal preference on preferred dosage? I'm assuming 00 is standard just because it's the median, but I'm assuming.

I performed bi's for my second session of the day, but I was burnt. I'd performed HIIT in the early morn, worked out, went to the firm, came back to Peak Performance and performed HIIT again, then I had 2 hours to kill until my next appointment, so I hit the gym in a zombie state.

It seems the busier I am, the less time I am psychologically able to waste. Time is like gold when you don't have any, so rather then resting those two hours, I felt obligated and to make it worthwhile, so I hit the gym, AGAIN.

I was like that too but learned to restrain myself from going to the gym in a "zombie-like-state" just because I had a window of opportunity.
The only thing you get from these forced workouts is feeling more drained both physically and mentally  and hence less motivated to train again :ntome:

Most of us hate to rest and overtraining is perhaps the major “controllable” thing that holds us back from progress.

Forget about crappy genetics, you can’t change it, it is dead set, focus on things you can change. The last sentence was more for me
I wouldn’t want to brain wash anyone here. You are a wise soldier Volcom and I’m sure you know when to step back :)

"000" caps are HUGE, btw. THe problem with food scales are most of them are only accurate to a gram. Need to make sure you check the quoted accuracy (usually 0.1g) on the scale you choose, which is why I still don't have one. Need to check ebay, but will most likely buy from NP.

Jesus, that Tyson video just gave me a huge test explosion in my pants. If it wasn't 1 AM, I'd say f*ck the off day - let's tear some sh*t up...

Seriously, Tyson was outrageously talented in his hay day. The way closed the gap on you and could duck & dodge into a knockout hook (even if it doesn't land square) was amazing.

Day 23

I haven't worn a sleeveless shirt or a tank top since summer. This summer was the first time I wore a sleeveless shirt out and man, I don't know if I've gotten leaner since the summer or I've just had some serious hypertrophy in my delts, but my shoulders were capped the hell off. Deep cuts from anterior to posterior, I wasn't aware of this new improvement until today. Now I'm motivated for my next delt session.

I've chosen to keep to my forced-rest, not forced-reps. Although, I did walk into the gym today with every intention of working out, however, on the first set of my warm ups, I knew my body wasn't right, both physically and mentally, so I walked out and now I'm resting. Rest is good and at the present time, rest is unavoidably necessary.

It's becoming increasingly hypocritical of me to keep telling you to take it easy, when I most certainly do NOT practise what I preach about it. I haven't taken a full week off weight-training for the last 15 months. That's right....15 months! But since I've incorporated this modified DC routine, I blast for 8 weeks and then do the 2 week "cruise" period. The weights are significantly reduced for these 2 weeks and sets are sub-maximal itensity. Stopping well short of muscular failure. It is considered an active-rest or active-layoff if you will. These cruise periods have greatly improved my training. I'm just a little over 2 weeks out from my next cruise, which coincidentally will occur during Thanksgiving. And for that, I truly AM thankful. LOL

The best ab exercises are surprisingly easy to do. This is the finding of a study done at the Biomechanics Lab at San Diego State University that looked at a variety of common abdominal exercises in order to determine the best ab exercises and what really works to strengthen abs. The study compared 13 abdominal exercises, ranging from the traditional ab crunch to more complicated activities, using at-home and gym equipment.

Each of the 13 exercises was ranked for muscle stimulation (measured with EMG) in the rectus abdominis, the external obliques and the internal onliques.

Study Results: Top 3 Ab Exercises:

1. Bicycle Crunch Exercise
Shop for an Exercise Floor Mat
2. Captain's Chair Exercise
Shop for a Vertical Knee Raise Machine.
3. Crunch on an Exercise Ball
Shop for a Large Exercise Ball

Top Abdominal Exercise Equipment

* Commercial: Vertical Knee Raise Machine.
* Home: A Large Exercise Ball.

Of the equipment they studied, the Ab Rocker by Body by Jake, was the worst piece of equipment tested. The Ab Roller and the Torso Track were better than the Ab Rocker, but statistically they were not much better than the basic crunch.

Day 25; minor food poisoning (I think)

About two hours after breakfast, I started to feel warm, sweaty, dizzy and nauseous. I never threw up, but I had to continue on with my busy day, nonetheless.

During lunch I got a, "we need to cut back" speech, I thought I was going to have my hours cut in half, but not yet. However, at the time, I felt too food poisoned to care.

I feel like passing out, but my day doesn't end for another 3-4 hours. I don't think ingesting all my supps helped with my liver fighting to filter out the food toxins. I actually did feel a little worse after ingesting my supps.

Bottom line, another rest day.

All good soldier. Sleep tight, rest up.

EDIT: oh, just noticed the 3-4 hrs. left in your day part, and forgot about the 3 hr. time diff. between us. sorry bro! the rest up part still applies!

Sorry to hear it, Samuel ! Keep your chin up, and have a loaded protein shake at your side and sip on it for the rest of the evening .. (as odds are you either don't have the appetite to eat a real meal, or you'd simply get nausous upon completing a meal and throw it up).. I know what it feels like to fight the 'vomiting-need' !

I think the added rest will be good for me. I've been feeling lethargic lately, like I'm in the final weeks of a hormonal (only none of the benefits). It smells like overtraining in this camp.

no appetite at all, which is a compounding negative effect on the road to "feeling better." It's alright though. My only worry is I'm suppose to work with a baseball team tonight and I'm not up for it AT ALL.

I had a rest day too, but now I'm itching to hit the gym tomorrow. I've got my PWO porridge cooked, pre-WO JP8, WPI mixed up

Yeah I have been following it for the most part. That show is nutz! How about the part when ther guy had to get his d1ck cut open to drain the blood. That scene made me cringe so bad. WTF? My favorite show right now has to be entourage. The last episode was priceless.

I like entourage, too. A fun and indirect political fact. The character, Arie Gold on entourage, is characterized after Rahm Emanuel's brother, Arie Emanuel, who is a successful, firey Hollywood agent. If you've ever heard Rahm Emanuel speak "freely," take that, add an even greater dog eat dog Hollywood mentality and the same dirty mouth but with a more positive and hard hitting charisma and you've got Rahm's brother, Arie Emanuel, who Arie Gold is based off of.

For those who don't know, Rahm Emanuel's Obama's newly appointed White House Chief of Staff.

Small world, eh.

Yeah the whole show is based off of mark walbergs life. Ari has to be the funniest one on there.

Hope your training with the baseball team went well despite your feeling crappy.

I showed up 15 min late, but it was all good. The team canceled that night. It's one of the first times I felt relieved to not train. I generally love it and look for to it, but yesterday I NEEDED a break!
