Shortly after posting this morning my email goes crazy and my phone starts blowing up. It's one thing after another. The water isn't working in the 5th floor ladies' room, the water fountains are blowing air instead of water, the toilets are overflowing on 3, there's an odor in the 2nd floor women's room. WTF is going on?!? So I contact our maintenance guys a dozen times in an hour, and find myself coordinating all morning/early afternoon with them trying to get this **** resolved. Our building is very high tech and was just built a few months ago, so I figured something might've gone awry. Turns out it was a water main break down the street, and several city blocks are without water. What does that mean for me?

So I'm at home right now, which means I will get to hit the gym earlier than planned, and NOT miss the first half of my Redskins as they play the Steelers tonight @ home in what I predict will be one of the highest rated Monday Night games ever. You heard it here first. ;)

So I'm gonna eat and relax for a bit, then go hit the gym before the evening rush hits. I've got a lot of catching up to do with all my bros (and sises!) logs; gotta support my homies!! Sorry if this has been asked before but are you dosing your igf2 with meals or before meals and have you noticed any stomach discomfort with it?
I am taking 4 caps of IGF-2 upon waking ~40 minutes before breakfast, and again before bed 4 caps ~1 hour after eating. I have had ZERO stomach discomfort.

Actually, the first couple days I was taking 4 caps pre-workout too, ~40 minutes before eating (I always do oats & whey right before I leave the house), but then Rosie brought to my attention that I had the new version which calls for less doses (oops), and have since reduced to 4 AM & 4 PM.
 
Three questions, what'd you have? Was it good? and what position did you eat it in? I want some fast food dirty talk and I'll relive it vicariously through you.
Maaaan, it was horrible. I'm not even kidding, I HATE fast food. I was just so hungry, and short on time, and the ladies I was with were all about some McDonald's, so I said "**** it." I had a quarter pounder (nothing on it), and a McChicken sandwich (no sauce). I ate it in the car on the way to the party. Blech. Like I said, it was the first time in at least 9 months I've had fast food, and it's not happening again any time soon! For me it is an emergency situation only sort of deal!!

Day 44: Monday, November 3

Considering the fact that I got hammered on Saturday and had a **** diet I was expecting a horrible workout. Boy was I wrong. This was one of the best workouts I have ever had in my life. Energy, recovery between sets, endurance, strength, pumps, everything, it was all there.

Dumbbells!!!

Incline bench press

Went up 5#'s on those incline presses and it felt good!! Wasn't expecting to do so well on these. I think 90 x 9 is a PR. I'll have to look into it.

Flat bench press
90 x 12
100 x 7 + 1 assisted

Went up 2 reps on that first set with the 90's, and on the 2nd set, I squeezed out 7, would've stopped there, but a buddy came over to spot so I decided to take advantage and put up the 8th rep assisted. PR last week was 100x7, so I tied it. I'm not counting an assisted rep a PR since I would NOT have gotten that up unassisted. Regardless, way better than I was expecting to do!!

Incline dumbbell flies
55 x 12
65 x 10
75 x 9 - PR!!!!!!!

I couldn't believe I got those 75's up cleanly for 8 reps and muscled out an extra one to set another PR. Going up next week! Damn, I'm actually impressed with myself today!

Last week I only got 185 up 6x on the barbell. This week I did it 10 times. Then I went up and hit 205 for 6, but I need a spot if I try that again. What's going on here? I'm going up on everything!!!

I was feeling bold, so I kept pushing it on the deads. 315 was HEAVY for me. I could get it off the floor, but it wasn't going up. My hamstring was screaming on these. I felt good until I tweaked my lumbar a little on that last set. Remember, I have a prior lumbar injury. Decided to throw in the towel and not risk anything. I'm sure I'll be fine. Those heavy sets really beat up my forearms too, but not the muscle, the bones. I have a very thin frame, and it felt like the bones in my forearms were under a lot of stress. Good! I could use a little bone density.

Agreed. He's going to have to borrow a page from my playbook and start taking naps to make up for the lack of sleep. We simply MUST have 7 to 8 hours if we are going to recover, recuperate, rejuvenate, and grow!! :thumbsup:

I totally wrecked my forearm muscles when I last did squats too! I thought I had done something wrong, and had I not gotten sick I'd have had to switch up or postpone my arms workout due to the soreness. I take it this is a normal side effect of squats?
 
thank goodness for this time change! i get much more sleep now and am feeling much better for it... my biological clock wants to put me out at just the right time and then the alarm clock does the work in the morn, not to mention I get to take 1-3 hour naps at "work" ed for a total of about 10-13 hours of sleep ed. mmmm boy and I just started a cycle!!! time for poops to REALLY grow.

Keep up the good work and make sure to get some rest there shaddow, want to make sure to keep those gains comin bro!
 
Power-naps rock! My kids crash out between 11 - 1 each day so I nap with them. It's all good if you're not working!

just do lunges with the bags of groceries from the car to the kitchen then press the big cans to the top of the shelf, clean them to the middle shelves, and do situps holding them and placing them into the bottom shelf!

I got laid off from my job yesterday, so I have been doing a lot of thinking, trying to figure things out, and just preoccupied with stuff. My severance package wasn't too bad, and I was sick of my jobs anyways, so I'm not exactly upset or worried. Just gotta figure things out.

I know I haven't been around much, and I kept saying I wanted to get caught up on here, but obviously priorities can get switched around. I'm still working out, and I'm still gonna keep this log going, but forgive me guys, as my mind is elsewhere.

Things are going great with the girl. She's on her way over right now. I'm gonna finish cleaning a little and spend some quality time with her. Tomorrow I've got more soul-searching to do.

I'll be back fellas. Just gotta handle my personal life right now.
