PCT DAY 7 With PRIME!!
WAR REPORT: I am feeling truly invincible this morning! I dug down deep within the well-spring of power for the battle that lay before me. I emerged victorious. I am the conqueror!! Let's dive headlong into the darkness of the abyss!! :twisted: NUMBERS ## CHEST---INCLINE BENCH PRESSES: 315 X 8-4-3=15 total reps. Up 5 lbs. from where I ended my last blast. So I am uber-excited about this accomplishment! :head: DC sets still in effect here. 15 deep breaths for a rest-pause between the 3 mini-sets. All back off sets are performed with textbook precision and form. Very slow and controlled reps with even slower negatives, partials, and an occasional static hold on the very last rep. Back off at 225 X 12. And then an immediate drop to 185 X 8 that just totally fried 'em! I felt the muscles contracting very hard underneath the load. Growth WILL ensue!! PEC-DECK FLYES: 220 X 15!! PR. Up 1 rep from last week. Back off at 150 X 15. Then I immediately performed another set of Incline Benches at 155 X 15 just to kill 'em. It felt like a ton. PULLOVERS: 160 x 10. Up 10 lbs. from last week but lost 1 rep. I'll take it! This was very heavy though. I thought my arms were going to pulled from their sockets. Intense prayer prefaced this set. Back off at 100 X 15. ONE-ARM REGULAR CABLE CROSSOVERS: 90 x 11. Back off at 60 X 15. I used very good form here and got an excellent mind-to-muscle connection from it. I then went to the pec-deck and standing and facing the machine I grabbed the outer arms (ala viking grip) and performed 150 X 18. Awesome feeling from these. I wish some of you would try 'em and tell me how you like 'em. Pecs were full, pumped, vascular, and swole the fukk up! TRICEPS--STANDING TRICEPS PUSHDOWNS: 205 x 8-5-4=17 TOTAL REPS. Up 5 lbs. and I gained 1 rep!! But, oh, this sh1t is getting heavy now. Intense psyching up going on now. Back off at 130 X 18 reps!! :wtf:
Something is allowing me to grind out a lot more reps on these back off finishing sets. Is it Beta-Alanine, or the PRIME? :think: We'll soon find out! SEATED ONE-ARM CABLE EXTENSIONS: 100 X 10. PR. Up 10 lbs. but lost 2 reps. Will get 'em next time around. Count on it! Very hard set. I was growling, grunting, spitting, and straining with all the might in my Odin-created sinews! :box: Back off at 60 X 20!! I rested about a whole minute before attacking this back off set. I usually only rest 40 seconds or so. REVERSE-GRIP PUSHDOWNS: 150 X 12. PR with this weight. I upped it 10 lbs. from last week but lost 2 reps in the exchange. I'll get 'em back. I amazed myself on this one!! This is a hard exercise. Much more difficult than overhand pressdowns. Try this underhand variety sometime and evaluate for yourself. Back off at 100 X 18 freakin' reps!! :woohoo: Blew 'em straight up. It was hard to even flex them, they were so blown up! DB KICKBACKS: 45 X 10 reps. I felt so energetic, confident, and strong for this workout. CNS doesn't seem as fried as the last couple of workouts. So recovery time may be improving from the PRIME. I'm ready to go into uncharted territory for the rest of this DC type Blast. NO FEAR!!! :aargh:
