I believe God exists... thats one belief

An atheist believes God doesnt exist.... thats one belief.

Atheism is a belief and a faith in its own, you believe God is not real and you have faith that you are right.

By this reasoning then if our tribe were to invade another tribe and eat their tribesmen, and subjugate that tribes women and children then no evil has been committed? Surely that other tribes wishes not to be eaten are just as valid as the former tribes wish to eat them.

no, no evil has been committed. again, who are we to say what is evil? humans have been killing humans since the first ones walked this earth. it is survival. we are all just mere animals, but have more intelligence. the bible states that murder is a sin. what about all of the humans that walked the earth before the bible was written? they are all going to hell? i think not.

And this is exactly why we should fear the future. If human nature is this dark and it is all about survival of the fittest, then Jesus really is the light of the world.

I am also quite familiar with them, but Washington was a MAson and not a bonesman. Although when you look at past presidents many have been bonesman, Taft, both Bushs and a few others. There has always been a small segment that ruled over the rest of us, masons, bonesmans, and a few other organizations

I dont think it is jesus, I think it is a glimmer of hope in many of us to continue to struggle and do the right things for the good of the many. Only a few have tried to do that, but now it is more important than ever as the stakes are so much higher.

This was my point. As well as my issue. Statements made out of context or misinerpreted and then presented to others as fact as to what ALL Christians should know and believe as to what God has planned and in store for us in eternity.

EDIT: Zero, Please do me a favor and preface your statements with "I believe" or "I think" and not make statements that imply fact about Christianity.

BTW...that Mormon "cult", as you called it, also claim to be Christian as well. You may have very well insulted a percentage of the board membership who just happen to be Mormon and believe they are Christian as well. Ironic isn't it.

yes they can or could, where is actual physical proof of his existance? where is he exactly and until he shows him or herself in a physical form then there is no proof of his existance, is elvis still alive? some swear and believe he is but until he shows himself he is still dead, same thing.

zero, can somone prove god exists? just because you say it's so doesn't make it so, that is not proof, that is just your opinion or anyone else's for that matter.

if someone says ufo's exist and believes they do, does that mean they actually exist? do we all ask for physical proof to back that claim up and if so, there is far more proof of ufo's than of god himself.

How can you argue about existence or non-existence of God, when none of you explained what or who God is, as you believe it? I gave my point of view and asked like three times who you think God is and nobody replied.

I think god is the guy that christians worship.I personally don't believe in a higher power of any kind myself.I believe we are born,then we die,and thats it.

I think so.The mind is more powerfull than humans will ever know.I feel sometimes religous people make something out of nothing cause they subconsiously want to.

My Step Moms dad died and she prayed to be given a sign that her Dad was OK.She later on seen a diesel with a cross on the grill and took that as a sign from god as he was a truck driver.
 
if jesus was really the only way to lighten up the world, all religions would cooperate and live harmonioulsy. this will never happen because god is a product of mans attempt to rule the world. if the religious people really belived in god, they would unite inder the simple belief in god. god is abused by people who try and rule others.
 
what is god: god removed from all religion would be a god of perfection. he would be creator and ruler of the universe, moving behind the scenes. god wouldt be wrathful, because he is perfect and no one could stand up to his greatness. god if he existed would be so interested in the suffering of humans he would not allow it. god being so perfect would deem the life of humans as an option. angles would have the option tyo stay in heaven or take their chances as humans. god as great as he is would be hard pressed to subject all of his creations to life on earth.

There are interesting questions, like, can god create a rock so heavy that even god cannot lift it?

I've heard many ways to argue this, like gravity doesn't apply to god, but the premise is that it does exist to test this theory.

I've thought of ways to argue it. Perhaps there is more than yes and no. Maybe a combination of both, or the answer is something that can't possibly be contemplated. Like the 5th dimension for example (see: flatworld).

Just look at all the different denomonations.

As far as rulling others,look at david karesh and then Jim Jones(I believe is his name).He acted extremely religous to get to religous people.He had sex with guys and caused the biggest mass suicide in history because of these peoples beliefs.I guess al these people who were doing the right thing are all in hell aftter being misguided into suicide by that dude.Same with that girl who had tumors and got extremely ugly and was constantly in pain.She asked the judge to let the docs kill her and the judge denied it,She shot herself the next day.I guess she should of toughed it out cause god was just teaching her something.Right?I wonder if anyone prayed for her to be healed?

And by two doors I meant that is all that is there when you die. Jesus said "no one comes to the father but through me"...so there is the going through him door. and the not going through him door. Other religions would fall into the not going through him door. You can take that for what you want. If you believe in another religion then maybe to you that is the right door in your opinion.

I don't say people are going to hell, God is the one that grades the test at the end of the day, not I. So the only being who knows is him.

You have not proved carbon dating is wrong, so with that in mind if Christianity is the only way why isn't there eveidence that it was there all along? Why don't churches teach people how to do healings, why don't churches teach people how to have out of body experiences.

Didn't Nostradamus predict a great change around something like 2013? I also seem to remember hearing of something last year regarding the alignment of the planets around 2013 will be conductive of an environment of fear where we will just hand over our freedoms and this will last for about 30 years at which point we will finally get sick of it and revolt. Perhaps after the end of all this (If it does truly happen) we will actually put all this hate for each other behind us and move toward helping each other. Has to get worse before it gets better, unfortunately.

I believe God or the Creator or The Mother or the Universe or a host of other names are all really just the same thing. Why does it allow us to suffer? Because we allow ourselves to suffer. We could have the ability to create anything we want yet greed has caused us to fail to pursue it for many thousands of years. If any of you have watched the secret, just think we could all be doing what they suggest in that movie but instantaneously. The Catholic Church (please correct if I am incorrect here) killed a lot a pagans along with the Spanish inquisition. Just imagine of all the knowledge that was lost for those hundreds of years. Think of what races like the Mayans could have taught us if we were more concerned with learning than with conquering. Man's own infinite greed has hindered us all, but perhaps this is the way it is meant to be. Perhaps when things do finally change we will be able to look back and say what the hell was wrong with us and not screw up again? I believe the creator is sitting back and letting us figure it out for ourselves, you will never learn anything if every time it gets hard the teacher just gives you the answer.

There are several religions that do not attempt to convert that just have the belief well your beliefs are different from mine but thats okay because they work for you. However if they were the majority things might be different. It seems religion is not the problem but mans interpretation thereof.

It's December 21st, 2012 to be exact. :) this is also when the mayan calendar stops. a great change that is going to effect the entire world is supposed to occur on or around this time.

There's a lot of crazy sh!t that happens on that day. The earth finishes a wobble on it's axis, the Milky Way lines up with our solar system, the winter solstice, the last day of the Mayan calendar, and the I Ching ends it's cycle.

Churchs do teach people. But to be correct the people do nothing, it is their faith in God and trust that brings the healing. And as for out of body experiences, WHY do you need that? That would be only for a select moment where it fullfills a purpose. Christians live by the will of God, not the selfish will of man and the world. Well that is their target, but no one is perfect and all fall short of the glory of God.

How can you teach someone something that doesnt even have faith in it? Techinically christians do teach people, just so few are capable of recieving it. Too much noise coming in from the world for them to hear the instructions....

And I have not proved carbon dating wrong, studies do. If it says a 10 year old rock is 350,000 years old. Then how would you call it accurate and use it?

what I also miss about christianity is its age. It is amazing that an all loving god would set up for failure all those who vcame before jesus. They would have never known of him or his path to god, so they are all doomed?
