Saturday 17th May 2008​


Yesterday was shoulder workout. Went light on weight. I worked with the owner of the gym yesterday. He was giving me some tips on shoulder workouts and how to improve the overall effectiveness of the lift. I must say I felt it much more than I was used and the weights were much lighter. I dont know how you guys do shoulders but the weights were fairly light doing higher reps, doing pauses, coming down slower and allowing the shoulders to "rest" when it comes back into nuetral position. Just 10-15 pounds with lateral raises was killing me after 2-3 sets. Such a great workout, although I dont feel sore at all today which is weird.
 
TUT really helped me with some lagging shoulders. It can be a bit tough on the joints after some time (just the territory with TUT) but results they will come lol.

You going to stick with the routine or was it more of a "mix it up" type day? Also you get any cardio in :D?

i havent been getting much cardio in due to work early early in the morning and due to the fact that my gym is FAR. I do cardio after a workout on semi intense levels for 10 min.

The cuts for the shoulders are coming along nicely. I WILL bulk agian when im done leaning out by september/november. But Ill do it in a clean manner and I will also hit the shoulders hard. So far weight loss is fairly decent. Im not really going by the scale so much as the scale tends to lie when your sorta building muscles and cutting fat. My upper abominals are more visible and the fat seems to be receding meaning that the fat is still intact on the lower portions of the stomach but its looking as if the top portion is getting smaller and smaller. I still have about 4 months of cutting left to go. It will be fun. Give me a sec guys Ill upload a pic of my meal I just made. It will make you drool.:dance:

It's going. Fat loss is happening but lifts seem to be much harder! sucks :[

btw heres my meal pic :) 1/4th cup of brown rice, tons of brocolli, and two cutlets of chicken breast with 2 scoops xtend

Actually Ill keep it short and simple for those to follow on this log unless someones ask me otherwise or ask a question about "X"

Retain 2 is underdosed. If you take it again, bump to 4-5 caps a day and take 3 caps in the morning (between 6-8am...preferably at 6am because cortisol is HIGHEST around 8am). Take the remaining 1-2 caps in the late afternoon/early evening. Cortisol is by far the biggest problem in the morning and if you want the most efficacy of the supp. you need to take the bulk of it in the early morning.

lol thanks for the heads up on retain 2. It is underdosed. I actually liked x-lean better. With that I saw a dramatic loss in cortisol levels even with 3-4 caps daily. So far so good on this cut. Cardio is done after workout (10 min of semi intense cardio. although I should switch it to mornings, but it doesnt fit my schedule.) Upper portions of abominals are sinking in and the cut is starting to show. Weight wise I havent weighed myself. It gets to you mentally when you keep weighing yourself every day 2x per day. You see your weight go up from adding food into your stomach and you end up starving yourself for the rest of the day. (this is exactly what my parents do.) Ill take my weight maybe once a week or every two weeks.

Cheat meals will be once per week. Such as today my diet was consistant but I cheated. I had a slice of pizza as I deserve to cheat. I would go nuts if I didnt. So far so good fellars.

Im hoping to finish this up by sept at the latest and get bigger lean bulking into april where I will recomp down for the summer next year.

Supplements are pretty basic even as of now. I havent introduced a crazy fat loss or so claimed "revolutionary fat melting product that makes fat fly off" Currently taking Drive (8 caps a day. Forskolin has an amazing recomposition effect on my body.)

Anabolic Pump, for repartition properties as well as giving me that fuller look in the morning so I dont go crazy and end up bulking back in the middle. (lets face it we all hate looking flat)

Green tea, sesamin oil (just some basic products to help enhance the fat loss. 3 caps green tea per day with 3-4 caps of sesamin oil. Sometimes more (the caps are broken so I take more sometimes like 5-6 caps because their underfilled and leaking)
 
sorry I havent bumped this yet.

I just added recreate to my stack 2 days ago.

So far Ive been introducing compounds one at a time to see how I react to them. Currently on green tea,sesamin,AP,drive, recreate

I did green tea and sesamin together, a week later I added AP, then Drive and now recreate. All seems to be going well. Im leaning out nicely which is good. I havent been able to get to my morning cardio but I think since now my finals and crap are all done I can wake up a bit earlier and hit the park and run around the courts. Or perhaps I could jog/run up to my gym and run back down (sorta far)

Strength wise it has started to drop. Certian lifts just feel harder. Although I am keeping the intesnsity to an all time high to keep me from flattening out. I had the craziest leg workout in 20-25 minutes due to it being a sunday and the guy closing at 4:25 when I showed up at 3:50

This was yesterdays workout on an extreme intensity level (for me)

P.S warmup means no weight just bar.

Squats
warmup, 135/10,185/7,205/6,135/7

leg extensions (nice and slow with pause at top
50/12,50/14,50/14,

prone leg curls (nice and slow heels to the pad. I noticed a tighter feel to the hamstrings squeeze with this method rather than resting the pad on my calfs)

30/10,30/12,50/8

Sitting calf raises (done on semi superset intervals. 15 sec rest in between each set)
90/20,90/18,90/16,90/14

my legs respond to light weights for some reason. Im actually trying so that I give my upper body a bit of a chance to catch up a bit. My legs have been growing and growing and I wish I could say the same for my upper bod. Ive always done light weights for my legs. (never gone above 245 in awhile) Ill just do heavier reps.

I was also sorta low on carbs. No one was in the gym so if I got stuck which I usually do Ill be like ****!

Keep up the good work man. I am sure this cutting will provide some real nice dividends when you are done! Especially with the large amount of added mass you put on in this long bulk you had.

I am LOVING the fact that I put on a nice amount of mass on my first year of bulking/serious training. Im cutting down now and the seperation and size of certian muscles are fairly nice for 1 year worth of work. Its just certian parts that I feel lack behind that give me that drive and motivation to fix up my training/diet and bring them up to par. I think ill be balling in time for the summer next year. After this cut Im going to be training under joe franco to help bring up my lacking body parts to proper size/proportion.

It will be fun to see because joe has a method of adding mass without the bulking routine / fat gains. It will be intresting to keep fairly lean yet gain strength year round. I also plan on hitting the stage in a year or two with some proper training/diet guidance from franco.

wow thats awesome. Franco really knows his stuff i am sure you will have amazing results. I also like to cut down occasionally to see what is really lacking so i know what to focus on during my bulks(even tho i do maintain pretty lean throughout)

thats the reason for my cut. To get rid of the cut and to really see how my build looks. I used to have a pretty nice V tamper back when I started but the stomach area got bigger and I started to lose it. Its coming back agian 211 after gym workout. I had plenty of water. I think I lost some fat and dropped some water weight. So far so good. :woohoo:

Ill be hitting back/biceps/forearms tonight. Going to do an update.

So far recreate is helping. I look leaner yet bigger than on my bulk due to the V tamper coming back to me:dance:
