Much thanks for the detailed and personal review. This is the kind of review that I would like to see more often, especially with this sort of supplement. I too have a checkered past when it comes to methamphetamine, and nearly ODing a couple times did something that altered how I respond to stims. I went from an average responder to being somewhat hypersensitive to stims, where they would cause extreme anxiety which would lead to depression. Over time I have slowly reintroduced fat burning supplements back into my diet, with good results. I carefully gauge my doses and response to avoid any feelings of anxiety or depression. Based on your review, Meltdown sounds like it is worth a shot.
Mattikus, what's goin' on? I can definitely see where you're coming from. Although I took supps to help rebuild and replenish neurotransmitters, after my 40 something day run with methamphetamine, my dopamine was at an all time 'unimaginable' low. Aside from the normal response, I had somewhat of a paradoxical response to the substance, whereas I was VERY calm and my thoughts were linear as opposed to being scatter-brained. My doctor and I sat down and came up with a protocol to get off of the stuff consisting of modafinil, propranolol (beta blocker), clonipin (small dose), and neurontin (for Cymbatla withdrawal syndrome).
Anyhow, a couple months later... supplement free... I get back into the gym and not to my surprise I find that I'm pretty weak, my joints are tight, my energy levels are sensetive and dull, and my concentration is stifled.
I tried Cytolean, which was so-so. Eh. I see VPX has a new Meltdown. I remembered my previous success with it, so I got it and tried it.
It's awesome. If you get some initial jitters, they will subside and they're not a bad 'tweaked' feeling. It's most likely the yohimbine complex.
At a twice daily dosing regimen it gives perfect energy levels without a noticable peak and no crash! Appetite is controlled, but not erradicated. I'm currently eating very low carbs and my energy and focus and still great. I depleted my glycogen yesterday and fasted thereafter and have been eating lean protein sources, good fats, and vegetables. My carb cravings are pretty much at bay. I mean... if I were to eat a candy bar right now, I'd go nuts and go on some kinda feeding frenzy, but my focus on my goal outweighs my desire to eat crap.
I added DLPA (750 mgs) and taurine (500mgs) with a thyroid support formula (w/ tyrosine @ 250mgs) at a twice per day dosing and I hope to give my body the necessary tools to keep my CNS from becoming exhausted. So far, there is no CNS over-exertion and I believe that coming off of this will be no problem, especially considering that I am going to continue the thyroid support, taurine, and DLPA. I also put an order in for my Millenium Sports Technologies stack.
I will be getting by the weekend:
1. Carnage
2. Cordygen 5
3. MVP-365
4. Ragnarok
5. Somnidren GH
6. ZMK
I put in a resume for Millenium Sports Technologies sponsorship, so I'll hear back about that pretty soon hopefully.
I think MST has some really solid, effective products. I think that the MST stack I just ordered will give me a huge edge in my training for 5k kayak races and ocean swimming races.
The only other product I'm considering adding to the stack is 'Stoked' by Anabolic Innovations. PCS worked amazingly well for test increases and estrogen control.
