What's the matter cookie boy? ;)

My previous employer that I left for my current company 2.5 months ago just sent me a bill to the tune of $9000 for fees they incurred relocating me. And I have until December 30th to pay. Merry ****ing Christmas.

You're telling me. My new job doesn't seem so bad anymore. My boss asked me what was wrong this morning so I showed him what my previous company is requiring. He's as upset as I am, so he had me forward a copy to my new companies HR department and is going to see what we can work out.

They already threatened that if I don't pay up they are going to give this to a collections agency and it may impact my credit.

"Failure to pay the total amount owed in a timely manner will result in further collection methods that could impact your credit rating.

Sincerely,
Suck my left nut"

There it is, directly from my letter.

I think the excitement stems from the possibility of it being less likely to be banned for posting in this thread (at least that's what the statistics show)

Wow...that sucks. Was there some sort of clause in your contract that if you worked < X amount of time they can recoup their expenses for the relocation?

MOD EDIT: Thats why we just let you know. Its always been that way here. No biggie. Merry CHRISTmas. Lets move on. :)

I tell you what, its nice to have a place where someone doesn't jump down your throat for saying Merry Christmas instead of "Happy Holidays".:clap2:

In addition to my last post...

My gf's aunt, works at a bank. In which they received a note from management stating that they are not allowed to put up any Christmas related decorations, they cannot say "Merry Christmas", and also cannot say "Happy New Year" because New Year is an "American/Western" holiday, not an international holiday.

However, they are allowed to put up Menorah's or decorations that are for a minority religion. Since when did it become a crime in the US to be a christian, or to be an American?

The Constitution guarantees freedom OF religion not freedom FROM religion. I am a Christian, yet since it is Chanukah right now, I see no issue wishing people a Happy Chanukah. On December 25, it is Christmas Day commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ, so I would say Merry Christmas. I have NEVER met anyone offended by me saying Merry Christmas.

It's a sad state of affairs when CHRISTmas trees are now Holiday Trees. Wait, I think Macy's is having a big Ramadan sale on Friday!

The people that claim to be tolerant are tolerant of everything but Christ.

I can be a pedophile NAMBLA member and the ACLU will not only defend me but sue for attorney fees...

But, if a kid wants to give out candy canes with Jesus' name on it, he must be expelled!

A woman in Michigan can take a driver's license pic with her burka on...

But a city has to remove a nativity scene.

Bah, I'm not even a practicing member of any church (although I hold loosely to the christian ideals I guess), but all this crap about freedom of religion (as long as your religion isn't christianity) is non-sense to me. Since when did people forget that the United States of America was founded on christian ideals along with the freedom for anyone to practice their own religion? I think people have forgotten that this country was founded on freedom/equality for everyone, not just for minorities.

I had this for breakfast.

Hangtotown fry $8.65
Open-faced omelette with pan-fried oysters, crisp bacon, & scallions

How's your pain Z? Feeling better?

Hey, have any of you guys ever heard the word "git"? Pronounced with a "J" sound sound like jitney.

I learned that one today...

I've heard of calling someone a "git" (g-it, not j-it). I think its an english or australian slange for being annoying or something of the sort. But never a "git" as in J-IT

Glad to hear your feeling better Zombie, perhaps its just a deep muscle strain after all!:woohoo:

yeah thanks, the only diff its that it kind of feels harder than yesterday and abit more swolen. But now i have to apply more preasure to feel the pain

Errr...harder as in its solidifying? That doesn't sound like a muscle strain to me, I'll talk to my gf tonight (She's an Register Nurse) and see what kind of advice she'd give and get back with you tomorrow.
