Strength/Hypertrophy training can be very frustrating when you haven't developed a great mind to muscle connection or have found your "sweet spot" to every lift as far as grip/tempo/neurological focuses(such as squeezing your glutes/driving off the floor with your heels on your squats). Your right the burning feeling of a muscle is such an epic feeling!

Strength/Hypertrophy training can be very frustrating when you haven't developed a great mind to muscle connection or have found your "sweet spot" to every lift as far as grip/tempo/neurological focuses(such as squeezing your glutes/driving off the floor with your heels on your squats). Your right the burning feeling of a muscle is such an epic feeling!
It took me like a month to figure out Deads and Squats I'm not kidding , had friends helping me out (one who actually has competed and one who can do 5 plate squats and do 2 plate cleans and 2 plate snatches...) coach me for Squats , I had to learn to drive through the hips , feel the push on the heels , learn to sit back and push my arse back on both lifts...I good way is having them make you go with a regular weight and poking you where you should be concentrating and also telling you where you should be feeling it , it helps a bit to start developing the MM connection , I have it good now on all my body , my only lagging part I think is Biceps , but I flex at least 100 times a day and try to focus on it so I develop it more...I saw that I have responded better (connection wise) for biceps on High reps with long-head developement , like High Cable Curls and Spider Curls , movements with elbows in front of the torso , way more than preachers and str8t bar curls , but I am trying to develop it more towards chins and barbell curls due to the compound mass , besides I am not doing any Isolation in pure 5/3/1 , well not Isolation per say , I mean they are not part of the 5/3/1 repertoire (spiders and high cable curls), and I want to stick to a program completly for some months/years and grow on it , instead of jumping around programs and half assing it :p

Biceps for me was the most difficult muscle for me to learn how to train it, im not one of those genetically gifted guys that can do nothing but curls and expect them to grow, I have to get down and dirty with the weighted pullups, my only flaw on that was I don't have a chain to equip to my belt, but I guess now its do or die time, ill strap a motha-f'in dumbbell to my waist! Gotta grow somehow!

Ok guys so yesterday I stayed within my macros and kCals , though I did eat A LOT haha, and ended up drinking (already contemplated amount) 4oz of red wine , I needed it , if there's 2 things this kid misses from his old life , and actually the only 2 things , is fine alcohol sources like Red Wine and good Scotch (though both always limited amount and pure taste) and cigars. Nothing can beat as desert a good Cuban with a Scotch on your right hand, or a good Honduran with a nice Cabernet Sauvignon , well IMO at least thats kings dessert , Macros yesterday were 2630 kCals with macros like this:

338g of carbs 72g of fats 170g of protein. No good recipes to report :/ mere ground beef , brown rice , oatmeal , sesame tahini and eggwhites.

Now on to today:
I have already shown yah my protein cake and brownie variations haha so I'll skip those recipes but I did have this today:

29 mins of stair master , burning exactly 400 kCals , and a 15 min leisure walk outside in a brisk pace , didn't feel like I needed much cardio today , or the other days, specially when I'm not eating 2800 kCals and I'm still recovering good and making strength gains , so I plan to keep cardio controlled to w.e I feel like between 400-800 kCals on cardio days.

Also today I beat a PR , I refill every sunday three 5 gallon bottles of water, reason being I run through one in around 2 days haha, well today I proceeded to get one down from my car, and then picked the other 2 up and brought them , not only was I able to CURL them both once , but also after a brief rest I was able to hammer curl them (alternating) around 3-4 times oO I couldnt even do it once before hahaha mind you full ROM xD would've loved to tape it haha but I live alone for now , my roomate is in mexico and I didn't have someone to tape me :p this is real life progress and something to laugh about i know!! hahaha

For food:
I have brought back good friends of mine and I cook them myself , I love the way I do them and they end up SO GOOD:
-PINTO BEANS!!! I just buy a HUGE bag of them for around 10 dollars in the nearby market and well they are 100% organic , I know the family that has the fields , so no gluten , no processing no anything , pure and straight from mother earth...god they are delicious and highly nutritious :D!. I had 1/2 cup of these but cooked enough for 3 or 4 days and have WAY MORE left to cook , its a huge ass 20lb bag hahaha.
-Ground Beef that I picked up at sams , it was a 10lb roll of 90/10 , i usually like ground beef leaner , but times are hard...and it was 20 bucks...had 8oz of it broiled with no grease added , with water actually and by itself with some mushrooms and black pepper.
-2 ezekiel bread slices with 2 tbsp of sesame tahini :( this bottle of tahini is almost gone...and no money to get anotherone damn! haha
-1 medium Banana
-1 cup almond milk + 1 scoop RED VELVET CAKE Protean :p

So for snack I had a while ago before going for my bottles of water (AND CURLING THEM! yes I'm a proud lil munchkin) :
-Protean Red Velvet Brownie. (1/4 cup egg whites , 1/2 cup almond milk , 1 scoop rvc protean and microwave)
-2 tbsp natty PB

And for dinner It will be the same as the snack seeing how I already ate all my carbs of the day haha I was a gluton in my lunch , and ate them all.

Total macros:
1,835kCals 123g of carbs 90g of fat 153g of protein.

Stack Notes:


Found something good about Glycobol and thought to share , having it with 1g of Agmatine about 30-45 minutes before a meal with complex carbs yields out BIGGER PUMPS for the rest of the day and a more vascular feeling , and further feeling and appearance of fuller muscles , also with this dosage I have experiences HARDENING of my muscles too, I had been playing around with dosages tying to find a good way to take it , and I found that after a workout , and making it 30 to 45 mins before a carb-containing meal along 1g of Agmatine makes you get Bigger Pumps and way more vascularity :).

Also I have been feeling on a way better mood on 3 caps of testopro and stoked in the am and pm , I think I react better to it this way, but this is just me and I do not recommend it seeing how this shortens the life-span of the stack.

Thanks bro! I guess its ok :p besides it was just 4oz , mere little glass and it made me feel so good...On the good side it was Red Wine and not Scotch OR Vodka OR Tequila haha , and Red Wine is full of Anti-Oxidants and good stuff that once in a while will never hurt yah :p!! And it went quite well with my beans and beef ;)!!

When I post my nutrition later today...hahaha its gonna be fun...dude I'm gonna get back to 2800kCals a day , I went down from 138.6 to 133.4 , though most of it was water weight , I was taking 10g of creatine a day ^^' Now I'm taking 3g of Awesome Athletix GERMAN Creatine :D! And well the water weight went away :p Strength is still there hehe, but I guess I should just keep my kCals like I had them before at 2800kCals and 2000kCals for w.o and rest days respectively.

Ok guys here's the nutrition of the day , and YES I did cheat for around 300 CLEAN Calories , I needed them I swear to god I'm growing HUNGRIER by the day...And if I don't eat enough I just feel beat and a bit down :S...So kCals today are 3100kCals 445g of carbs 98g of fat 170g of protein.

Also this might be my will to grow , I'm down today in weight:

Update on progress so far:

Weight: 133.4lbs NUDE and with a Dump Successfully achieved in the morning. Take on count I am not holding water anymore , not that much anyway , and I stopped taking 10g of CREATINE a day and went down to 3g a day on Mr.Cooper advice , which I value a lot , Strength , vascularity, pumps and Muscle Fullness appearance is HIGHER now though, BF with calipers and many tests is around 8.5%-9.2% so thats ok , I don't mind as long as it doesn't reach around 13% , so still room to keep growing , hence I don't feel bad about adding EXTRA carbs and FATS today...I will need it specially since I am adding more Hypertrophy to my workouts now , and also going further into the last set of 5/3/1 its always recommended on the third HEAVIEST set to go all out and do more than the prescribed reps , today I achieved a lot on DL , more than I would have thought possible for me...I remember around 3 months ago I did 205 for 5 reps , horrible form , shaky and couldn't walk good for some days...So I presume i could have injured myself that day, today I did 210 for 7 reps , and honestly I could have gone for 10 , but I know to listen to my body I guess and my hammies and glutes were BEGGING for mercy haha. Also added weighted pull/hammer/chin ups and felt awesome, as of now I am pushing back kCals to 2800kCals on W.O. days and considering to lower protein a bit more to around 150-145 and keep carbs around 400-420 with fats at around 60-65 on workout days , thus I can have around 100-120 grams of carbs , some 80g of fats and around 150-160 grams of protein on off days for 2000kCals and keeping cardio as I had it in the beginning , around 400-600 kCals and merely for health. Fat is no longer my concern ahaha I finally grew past that thanks to you guys and well , getting stronger means a lot more to me than temporary aesthetics :). Honestly I couldn't have made it this far without you guys supporting me , big thanks to you all , you now who you are bro's , and you know you earned my respect and appreciation thanks to this. Also my stack is gonna end this Wednesday , tomorrow I'll post up some final pics waking up and after achieving a Morning Dump so you guys can see and compare with me the Results of this stack , my diet and workouts :) , I will proceed with my Bulk atm , and look forward to having you along in my next logs :)!.

And yeah the extra calories came from Carbs and Fats haha , extra whole wheat bread and extra oatmeal paired with extra PB...It was a reward of sorts hehe...TBH I always wanted to get past the 200lb benchmark on my Deadlifts and Squats with good reps , ROM , controlled movements and solid medium-number reps and I have now achieved that...so I guess my body did deserve a reward for getting me this far :) There's still much to go , and one day I'll deadlift 405 hopefully with you guys supporting me then!

Also , thanks for the support brotha :), and yeah oO I'm gonna be eating A LOT , and I got an assortment of carbs to not get bored...brown rice , oatmeal , pinto beans , green beans , whole wheat bread , ezekiel bread , whole wheat flour hahaha its all about EAT EAT EAT!

Ok quick update everyone , I did not take progress pics today this morning (I should have I looked rather lean hahaha) because I havent taken the furr off for like a week >>!! and because tomorrow is my last dose of TestoPro and Stoked , and as such I thought I should wait until tomorrow...Besides its OH press day and my shoulders are my pride haha so yeah a bit of ego-pump for the pics will be nice :p!!!

Cardio for today:
Did some MILD HIIT on the stairmaster for 20 mins , it said I burnt 300kCals in the 20 mins , so if it burned more or less I don't mind, I keep it around 4-6 mins at a mild level where heart rate is at 130 then go all out for 60-90 secs so HR goes up to around 180 and then do recovery for around 20-30 secs and again , some 8 to 10 times , and then some other 4-6 mins at the light pace , kicks butt and does real nice work for the calves IMO, and since I don't do any exercise for calves my cardio mainly builds them (yes it is possible...I have huge calves and almost never do calf raises)

Thought I would keep cardio down this week , to around 20-30 mins and preferrably HIIT for the 3 cardio sessions of the week and keep my kCals back at what I started , high 2800s and 2000 for w.o./rest days , but throwing in even more carbs and dropping prot to around 1.15g to 1.25g of protein per LB of BW , thoughts on this guys?...Coop? You always have good input for my diet haha.

Its a complete and solid GDA/Nutrient Partitioner , taken 30 minutes before a meal (on an empty stomach) helps regulate the insulin response you will have on the meal , specially on complex carbs , making sure it gets shuffled into the muscle and into your waist or lovehandles :)

I love the stuff... I take 2 to 3 caps about 30 min prior to my big carb meal (post workout for now... based on my eating for a competiton coming up).... helps shuttle the carbs back to the muscle. You will notice a difference in muslce fullness

You know , supps ain't much of an issue atm thank god...PROBLEM IS FOOD!!! I'm looking at around 70-100 dollars a week for food!!! X_X!!! Well it went down , buying bulk oatmeal , meat and many things like that in sams makes up a lot of it...but still...going to HEB is monetary suicide yo.

Man i've been saying this for years. For ex salmon, chicken, steak, hell any meats for that matter lean wise expensive.

I know bro , the cleaner and better the food , the pricier it is haha

Ok so I wen't higher on the kCals today again , but mainly because I knew I was gonna go back to the gym in the evening which I did , reason being a friend of mine is in town and she wanted to go to the gym and seeing how I can get her in as a guest I went with her and while she did her warmup cardio I took my time to throw in another 20 min 300kCal Cardio and spotter her in many of her lifts...now this girl is something else oO her max BP is 135 now, she'll only do 1 rep and I'll spot her...keep in mind she is like 4'9" and weights around 95lbs...really strong for her size oO amazed me...So I decided my body would need the extra kCals to still recover and not go into much deficit today.

So kCAls for today were: 2417 kCAls , 218g of carbs , 102g of fat , 177g of protein. All clean sources , and must I mention my meal was delicious the fast breaker really did it for me:

-4oz of 90/10 ground beef
-1 cup brown rice
-1/2 cup pinto beans
-2 slice of bread with 3 tbsp natty pb

In the evening I had a snack , Protein brownie:
-1/2 cup egg whites
-1 scoop RVC Protean (delicious...this stuff is heaven seriously guys try it)
-2 tbsp peanut butter.

Went for the evening cardio-spotting

and came back in time for my last meal consisting of:
-Another protein Brownie but with 2 scoops of RVC now haha much more tasty , again with 1/2 cup egg whites and 2 tbsp natty pb
-1/2 cup cottage cheese 2% fat mixed with 1tbsp PB
-Mixed a banana with the cottage cheese and ate with a slice of whole wheat bread

So yeah...I basically got in the idea of eating back the extra kCals I burnt , and ate back like 400 extra ones reason being that cardio alone burnt like 300 and then we went for a leissure walk around campus for around 1 hour and that puts the burn at around 140 more , so I ate back my calories like a good boy in growth :3!!! No longer scared of putting on fat hahaha just concerned about eating.

Stack notes:
Having 3 stoked and 3 TestoPRO resulted in a sweet spot for me , this past week that I've been doing so , I have been MORE HUNGRY , and have carb cravings specially oO...feeling stronger and my lifts can attest to that, cardio endurance is up , though I am pretty cardio resilient anyways :p.

Note to self will be to try 3 Glycobols before a 200g carb meal tomorrow (fast breaker) to see my response to that , I'll take it 30 mins before the meal with 1g of agmatine to see results in muscle fullness throughout the evening, and see if it enhances recovery.

I think the three glycobols before a carb meal is a good idea.

what are your physique goals right now?
