Hi

What is the most effective supplement for Cortisol modulating or blocker?

N-Acetyl-Tyrosine (NAT)
11-OXO (Adrenosterone)
7-Keto (3-Acetyl-7-Oxo-Dehydroepiandrosterone)
Phosphatidylserine

Thanks :bigok:

i use super cortisol support from now. i have no idea if it does anything. i take it daily. its cheap.

Is 11-OXO in 1T ?

Neuro-steriod stuff can't be used long term - cycles only.

PAS is okay, I use it daily. Its a bit pricy, good nootropic. EndoAmp Max is the cheapest I come across. VAT Attack was said to be good.

I use VAT Attack before bed each night. Wish it was still available, since I'm almost out.
I also use Phosphatidylserine once a day, but this is definitely expensive.

11-OXO is Adrenosterone and 1T is 1-Androsterone

Phoshatidylserine FTW!

It will help to mitigate erratic fluctuation spikes in serum cortisol release (especially in the intra and post training periods); not suppress the hormone itself. In other words: you'll still receive the basic homeostatic effects of cortisol while minimizing its potential detrimental effects on muscle hypertrophy/retention.

I have some studies as well if you're interested. Let me know if you have any questions. :)

I have 500g of PS and im doing 800mg post/w-o & 800mg first thing in the morn'n on off days. but im wondering if i should take the post wo dose during my w/o i.e. intra wo?

relora is good stuff, lean xtreme is good stuff, i excited to get aquanted with both lecithin granules and NOW triple strength lecithin. Bane at TL says there is a lot of promise with lecithin.

I've done a lot of lecithin but nothing touches PS. Lecithin and fish oil are supposed to convert to PS but it never worked for me.

You cant beat Lean Xtreme.

its certainly great stuff

i used to like retain 2, but the lean fx i didnt like (luckily i got it for free from a forum friend)

Just get the PS. If you go through a tub and stop some of the results stay. For example, I don't get as fired up after my workouts anymore to the point that I can't sleep. I don't get the euphoria either but I only got that during the first week of use. I tried taking it recently and it didn't improve any aspect I was expecting it to. Also, I was taking 800mg on workout days and 400mg on off days for about two months. That was plenty.

help me out on this guys, I'm admittedly ignorant on this issue. I've heard that I should avoid prolonged gym sessions, like 3 hours plus because your cortisol will spike. I also "heard" that this can facilitate belly fat, which is a prime issue of mine.

-Do these cortisol blockers benefit someone who's not spending 3 hours a day in the gym?

-Do they provide any benefit for general fat loss or cutting?

-any other benefits that would make them worth taking other than fat loss?

-Is it safe or a more risky supplement?

I'd appreciate any help on this, as general web research has left me even more confused about this product.

Good questions, I would like to know myself

1) Yes, cortisol spikes through the day, regardless of workout session length. You just will have another one after a workout. Cortisol is a stress hormone, exercise = stress.

2) Absolutely. Especially in areas where cortisol causes you to store fat, i.e. your midsection.

3) Depends.

4) Safe.

^^^ what he said

Plus it's a nutrient, a large part of your brain and a smaller part of testicles are made from it. So it can't be bad in normal doses.

3 hours a day in the gym?

with 45-60 min is enough bud

3 hours a day in the gym is a waste. Cortisol can spike as often as it wants, I prefer a TD version of a cortisol blocker as it does better for spot reduction for me, with the pill it can block the current cortisol production in your body, but in the case of another spike, the pill won't do much for that

I run a 3 day split most weeks. Bi's, chest, legs, shoulders, back, Tri's, and stomach as a primary focus if there's a 4th day. So let me qualify the 3 hour comment a little better.

I do an extensive stretch, usually about 20 minutes. Range of motion and flexibility is a key focus of mine.
20-30 of ab work. Big believer in working the core.
30-40 minutes on muscle group 1, same for muscle group 2. I do consistent stretching of the focus area during the routine as well.
Then, since I'm trying to trim fat, I'm on cardio for 20-30 minutes.

It's really not an excessive amount as you can see. Also in that, since I have a work out buddy, there's some social time, going to get water, taking a piss etc. Most times we're out of there in 2.5, sometimes 3 tops.

an hour is what I do at a home gym, with no socializing, and no solid ab, cardio, or stretching.

VERY TRUE

I have read many times that vitamin c is effective in reducing cortisol.

I think 500 to 1000mg in the morning and another 500 to 1000 mg after a workout.

Cant beat the price.

I like the PS, given its research/feedback given the time it's been on the market.

The big problem here is this: cortisol modulation never played out like most thought it would. Yes it can be reduced but like GH being able to be increased, even the big boy pharmaceutical equivalents don't grow muscle like we thought they would.

so if cortisol is reduced GH is increased...?

I take one gram preWO, one gram postWO, and a two more grams thoughout the day; I've still never seen anything work as well as 11-OXO. Moreover, I've discussed in that one other thread yesterday or today that 7-OXO doesn't modulate cortisol.

pretty sure its turned into pro oxidant during workouts so you should not take it during workouts

I don't take it pre-workout, but I do take 1g post-workout for this purpose. BTW...the Techno Viking is a bad*ss.

Are you talking about Vitamin C here? Some pre-workout products contain a lot of vitamin c. Do you have any studies or info to back this up as fact?

I have enough anti-O's in my pre, peri, intra, and postWO that I don't need to worry.

I eat at 3:45am on 2-5 hrs of sleep, lift at 5am still mostly deprived of cals and other ****. It's needed, trust me.

qft

there was some brotology being spread at one point that too much vit C is pro-oxidant. I'm guessing this is just carryover...
