What is the best way to approach a girl at work?

know some of you will say that dating people you work with is not a good idea, but for some people work is the only place you really meet people, and lots of people have gotten married who used to work together. So what is the best way to try to start up a relationship with someone at work, without of course straying into sexual hairyassment, or making things awkward?

Sexual harrassment only follows if a) You oogle at her or touch her inapparopriatly or b) you ask and she says no and you continue to ask

And I don't think there is a tried and true method since it'll vary from workplace to workplace and not to mention what works for one woman may not for another.

I suggest asking the person you find attractive out for lunch while at work and test the waters.

Work on building a comfortable friendship at work before you make the big move and straight ask her out. This way you get to see a little more of what to expect, and it makes things less awkward for her.

People overcomplicate things.

Say "Hi" and see what happens from there. Dont ever try to plan something out, it just doens't happen that way. If things go well after a few conversations tell her YOU are heading out to lunch, and ask her if she would like to go. Don't make it sound like a date right off the bat. You'll look desparate.
