That really means a lot Hyde and Dustin…. I honestly want to be lifting even past 70. Hey Stallone is still going strong and he’s in his late 70s almost 80.💪😎👍
I have to frequently bite my tongue cause I know realistically its smart for us to base goals and accomplishments off current realities based upon a lifetime of experiences but when I watch this...
Agree with Dustin, unless hypertrophy is the primary goal of a movement you generally want to do as much as you can reasonably tolerate for the day on strength work. Better to keep the weight up...
Good call. Hypertrophy is not my goal with squats or or deads, so maybe I’ll just focus on what I can low. I think I recover better from low rep higher intensity better also.
Those are BP spikes not chronic and those numbers are not high enough to make you feel the way you describe. I think the spike in BP is another symptom of whatever is causing you to feel that way...
yeah dude those are some heavy pauses.
IMO this is a trap! lol. I did this so many years running my CNS into the ground. Can't hit 315 for a set today? I"ll just do 225 until I destroy myself...
Weight: 211.4
Paused Squat 4 x 3 x 275
RDLs 5x135, 5x185, 2x5x225
BB Shrugs 4 x 5 x 185
Standing Calf Raises 3 sets
Incline DB Curls 3 sets

I use M-Test and Optimize-T myself.
But if looking just to try something different, some good options are Cloma-Plex, Test Fix, Alpha Gel (if wanting a topical), Prototest XT, Furosap XT, etc.
its much easier for a 24 yr old fitness trainer/influencer to feel great in a deficit when half of their deficit comes from a busy NEAT inducing lifestyle rather than desk work. My wife has that...
there is some legit merit to that portion of Wendlers book that Hyde reminded us of with his "I'm not doing jack **** today" program. go in, touch heavy, go home. great stimulus, fantastic...

man when I see that stuff now days I just keep scrolling, I don't even listen to what they say. "you're not progressing because..." or "the real reason you can't lose that 10lbs is"... and i'm...
Yep, the real issue here though I think - and in today's society in general, particularly on social media - is that context matters.
You can't just read the abstract of a study. You can't...
As Arnold said there is no right way for everyone. You have to find the right way for you. Some people do better with lower volume higher intensity, and vice versa. I think that is always a part...
I have been using an exercise bike for my cardio and pushing the resistance up for this very reason. They have Peleton bikes there at the gym but they want you to have a Peleton account which is a...
You have to to set the bar ;)
My dad turned 64 last month and he always tells me age is just a number and a state of mind. None of his old highschool buddies will do sports with us. He's invited...
Light stretching, 1 round of jumping rope on the wrestling mats to absorb impact and some band stuff for knee stability. Bodyweight split squats too
I'd imagine I could, honestly, that's a great...
