Xtend vs. Essentials

hello all,

Which do you prefer, Xtend or Essentials?

Ive been looking at Essentials+Joint Complex, because im a runner.

But perhaps most important, ARE BOTH NCAA LEGAL?
I would think that they should be, there's really not much to Xtend, and Essentials is basically Xtend plus a multivitamin and creatine and alanine.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Yes they both are NCAA legal. Two very different items as you probably already know.

I would highly recommend you also look at Poseidon, to me it is a required item for runners/triathletes etc.

I hate to turn you off of one of our products but do you want creatine? It could put on a few pounds which you may or may not want for your running if you are a distance runner. If a sprinter then yes I agree you would want some creatine.

I run mainly 200m and 400m. But I may be running the decathlon / heptathlon. And I also jump. So, I was looking for something with creatine (and alanine), although its not necessary. Thats why I was looking at Essentials.

On a side note: I was on a low dose of creatine last season, and I gained maybe 2lbs (just water weight, right?). With a 5g dose, would i gain much more than that?

Apples and Oranges. Xtend is basically the BCAAs + flavor which is very important depending on what you're mixing it with. Essentials on the other hand is a Multivitamin/BCAA/BA/CM/Joint goodies. If anything you could mix em together for after a workout or training session. Or find a really tasty juice to mix with essentials.

Works PERFECT in OJ or gatorade.

You can use it by itself in water but it doesn't taste too great.

Ok thanks. I was 95% set on getting Essentials + Joint. Thanks for all the input, im just glad its NCAA legal.
