i don't think you have a point, my man!!!

you are too young to remember when females were taught to be ladies and behaved as such, MOST of today's women are not deserving of the title lady. my wife, mother and all of the real ladies i know agree with me, and are ashamed of the behavour of women today!!!

as far as stereotyping women, hell men have been stereotyped for as long as i can remember!!!
 
Ebf my man, dont sweat the small stuff and dont play mind games.

With the date thing, dont get her to pay but perhaps do something else that doesnt cost so much. Cook her dinner, hire a movie, go for a walk; you can date on a budget. My gf told me that it wasnt all the dinners that made her happy, it was the spontaneity. Take control

Congrats to you and your wife. I myself have been with my wife for 7 years. I see your point, but some of these comments made are just ridiculous. Every race, religion, sex, etc has a stereotype. To condone that and continue to exhibit that is pure ignorance. Don't judge the sex as a mass because Taylor Swift is an air head haha. There are quite a few good ones out there. You and I married one!

my wife would be the 1st to condemn the behaviour of women today!!! you see my wife and i remember a time when women behaved like ladies....see i stereotyped them again, because there were sluts and whores then too....but they were looked down on by the vast majority of women, not held up as role models!!!

todays women are the only standard you know, if you were my age or older you would see the fall from grace that women have descended into.

Modesty, virginity, virtues are a thing of the passed. I have a 26yo daughter and a 13yo daughter. The oldest is an adult and not much I can do other than remind her of the values she was raised with. The little one I will be very frank and candid with.

Just yesterday we're walking into church service (of all places) and this girl could not have been more than 18 and she had on 5" black high heels, leggings up above her knees and a skirt, that had she even bent over the slightest to pull up her knee high legging she would have exposed her beaver for all to see. I told my daughter very frankly that that girl is getting all the wrong kind of interest and attention. As well, I shared with her exactly what the interest is.

She looked like a call girl. Yet this is depicted in and on every social media and entertainment outlet that there is including celebrity girls and woman alike.

I am no prude but there is nothing sacred anymore.

At 22 you know jack about jack. Been there done that.

what is sad is that the youth of today think this is acceptable behaviour!!!

i commend you on the upbringing of your daughters...but i would have expected no less from you!!!

i think my wife and i raised our son and daughter well also, at least they know right from wrong!!!!

I never claimed to know it all. I was simply saying that there are still young girls out there who are women. Modesty and virginity are both things my wife had plenty of. Classy ladies aren't the vast majority but to generalize statements as some have done is ignorant and biased. There are just as many dbag dipsh*t dudes out there. Sounds like some of these guys just don't know how to pick 'em lol

I'm only 26 but I am so glad I grew up in the woods and raised old fashion. Cause I agree with bigt and David. It truly is so sad what has been approved as acceptable by the masses these days.

I've been with my bf for almost 2 years. I'm divorced mother of 2. I work a lot and it's hard . I barely see my children .. Mostly weekends. I introduced my children to my bf after we were together for about a year . He shows no interest on getting to know them . And everytime I try doing stuff with him and my children he hates it and says I'm pressuring him with my kids. My children don't need a father. They have a great dad. I just feel it's important to me for him to have some type of a relationship with them or at least make an effort . I love him with all my heart and my children are my world. It hurts me greatly everyday. I'm torn. Is he right? Am I pressuring him too much? Or should I expect the man I love and want to spend my life with to have interest in getting to know them ? Am I crazy?
 
No, you aren't wrong. If he really cared about you he'd know how much your kids mean in your life and try to be part of it. It will go no where so either deal with this schmuck or get a real man.
 
I'm assuming he knew you had kids when you first started dating. If that is indeed the case then he should know he's either all in or all out. There's no in- between in that scenario. If he doesn't want to bond with your kids and spend time with them then that's a great indication he's not truly the man for you. Having been on both sides of this, with my ex wife and her son, and now with my kids and my girlfriend, he needs to put up or shut up.

your #1 responsibility/obligation is to your children, your personal life should be secondary to the best interests of your children....if you continue to see this man, and he has no interest in your children pushing him to be involved with the children could lead to him resenting either you or your children, or both!!!

on the other hand, be careful of a man who might be a little too interested in your children!!!

If he is indeed a good man and a man of integrity then he would understand that young boys and young men need the influence of as many good man they can find. There is only so much a father can do because of the closeness and often times there is much to be learned from another good man.

You are not wrong or crazy. If he is all that to you but not that for your kids you may need to consider how much you can expect in the future from him. This pain will not fade over time but may fester as resentment and sabotage your relationship with him in the future.

I was just messin T. I'm on the same boat. I went ballistic when my step son got sexually assaulted. I just about killed the guy when I found out.
 
The guys are right! Don't ever choose a man over your children. I have a friend who does that and it drives me up the effn wall. I'm not saying you are, but he's definitely not the one for you. A real man will love you and your kids, not think of them as a burden or baggage.

I'm 30 years old. I don't waste my time in meaningless not going anywhere relationships. I want to get married and maybe have more children. My bf is a body builder he's got a temper and is hot and cold all the time. He drives me crazy. Although I've accepted that part of him and learned to deal with it . I'm not sure if he wants to marry me someday . I know he loves me. He shows it diferent ways . Nobody is perfect. I'm almost perfect lol. I think I'm a great gf. I respect him and support him thru everything. I'm not a party girl. I don't go out drinking or go out at all. I'm into working making money, working out and finding the man of my dreams. Sometimes I feel my man should be kissing my ass 24/7 . And it's the other way around . Every guy I've ever been with has treated me like gold. Am I expecting too much at this point?
 
It sounds like he's gotten too comfortable. He may need a dose of reality and a "straighten and fly right" conversation. My girlfriend gave me one of those a while ago and things now couldn't be better.
 
Don't be sad, but you do need to do something. No one ever changed things for the better by sitting idly by.

Most people don't LIKE being single, most. If it is indeed love on your part then you need to figure out how to get things to work for both of you, and he NEEDS to be an active part of that solution, that comprimise. If he's not willing to bend and cooperate then it may be time to be single for a bit.

Red flag IMO. A man with a temper is not what kids need. You may chose to tolerate it but they should not have to. If he behaves that way with you as a single couple he likely has very little capacity to be a leader of a family with children. Hot and cold is bad for kids. They need emotional consistency and stability.

Again, just my humble opinion.
 
Sounds like a bunch of excuses for a guy that is just an a-hole. The last thing kids need around is a male influence like this guy.

Being single is how you find yourself. You learn about what you want and don't want, what you need and don't need, and a lot of times, you learn how to truly love yourself. You have to enjoy your own company before you can enjoy other's company.

Not good theres only one reason someone keeps their ex around. you cant spell sex without the ex! I told my lady if she continues to talk to her ex then she should go be with him and get out of my life. She called him in front of me and told him to never talk to her again. Solved my problem real quick. Your man shouldn't be talking to his ex period! unless she has like his xbox or tubs of protein left there or something like that. there is no need to communicate with your ex!! sorry to be blunt

I agree, he said he's done talking to her. I know he only has the best intentions, but I was still not comfortable with it and told him how I felt. He completely understood and told me that he wouldn't like it if I still talked to my ex. Hopefully, she is completely out of the picture and we can move forward with our relationship.
 
It was not until my ex-wife had a man (husband NOT a boyfriend) did I distance myself from her - regardless of how my wife felt. That is the mother of my children and her well being has a direct impact on my children. It was a model to my children, especially my son.

My wife was not thrilled with the idea but I am a trustworthy loyal and faithful husband and my fidelity was not the issue. Had it been then I could see my wife having an issue.

I understood my wife's point of view but then asked her to trade shoes with my ex and then she could empathize with her position and appreciate my loyalty.

We divorced to eliminate the conflicts and issues not create more.
