Why is soy protein hated?

Good healthy discussions I'm no expert here so I'm just reading and learning as much as I can.
 
that is all i was saying. cycle carbs, cycle cals, use diet to lose fat not cardio. SIMPLE. there are always a handful of guys who agree with that reasoning....and there are usually a few handfuls who believe in different dieting principles and believe in cardio. Why those guys must get all huffy and think they are beyond reproach is beyond me. Its an opinion based activity we do, at least as far as dieting and training goes....everybody has differing ideas and different things work for some and not others. notice they won't jump your ass for saying the same things....watch....

i agreed with you about the dieet. i just said i dont think you should adjust calories at a plateau until exhausting other options first. so when the time comes you cannot do anymore. you can lower calories. hence my cardio statement for dieting.

and for bulking as well benefits of the cardio arent counter productive. and will aid nutrient partioning. after all on a bulk you want to limit that fat gain.

try it with the cardio for a while, try it using your diet, try it all different ways....that is how you learn, through experience. These are all just suggestions, nobody knows your metabolism or genetics or any of that stuff....BUT, how'd you go from all out bulk to lean gainer cardio man? LOL, we had 4,000 cal shakes the other day ....now we are doing cardio ???? :)

I'm not doing cardio, how this started is I asked about meal replacments and carbs and soy protein and getting my macro in one day while trying to lose fats e.g. Leans gains and then it spilled over here....

I just can't stand bullies or people who must always be right/know-it-alls (esp when they are usually wrong)...and "no fun" people who are always serious and must be contrary to EVERYTHING they read...I can't suffer it. Sometimes it can be ignored....but if they address me, what am I to do? lol.....

my bad i meant 1.3 high and .75 on low

while keep protein 1.5 and fat at .5

thats just what works for me and what i have learned from books of dieting. thats really how i learn grab a whole bunch of books and read

That SOB matt porter got me on 90 grams of fat and 90 grams of carbs and 360 F-ing grams of protein. I want to kill him. but I take in 170 carbs half the week and try to get near 100 the other days. I wan't to lean out or lean gain and you want to gain....so those figures would probably work for you. you got to experiment.....see how it goes and adjust from there by checking the scale and mirror.

No, that is his suggestion with the androhard lol.....that is the recommended diet, so I figured I'd try it out. I just eat half the protein and drink the other half. kinda sucks but hey, I'll give it a try for 6 weeks. I haven't eaten over 300 grams protein in forever. can only help really I guess.

the fat is reasonable, the carbs are outrageous lol, and the protein is ludicrous. I take 20-30 or so from the protein and use it for carbs usually.....or maybe add even more carbs for 150 or 170, only about 100-150 extra cals if I use some protein cals for carbs then add another 30 or so carb calories. makes it more tolerable.

not everyone has good genetics, thats why some people do powerlifting, some do bodybuilding, some are sports athletes.........we are all different..........

i myself tend to fall under the bodybuilder category, and its why i do cardio.......i try to stay lean now after lifting heavy for many years and didnt like the way i look.........

where as some people like warbird might be naturally slender and has a hard time packing it on from what i gather.........somedays i wish i had his fast metabolism, some days i like being big...........its all a mind ****.......

one thing i did realize, is no matter what, stress ****s it all up and can be physique killer..........for me its selfish women, so now i stay away from them........for some guys, they need a woman in their life to give them encouragement..........some guys like multiple women.........

you see what im getting at?

you guys are acting like women and its sorta stupid. you guys/girls are basically saying "im hotter than you because......." and im on the outside chuckling because we are all meatheads.........

so please leave the attitude at the login guys...........im trying to share with others, not bash on others beliefs........

to aaron, seriously look into some nutrition and workout books. one the best is Arnolds encyclopedia of bodybuilding........really really good for beginners.........when you are ready for the big time...........look into NSCA books for personal trainers post BA degree.......

i dont count ****, i just go by portions and if im hungry that day...........

now that im not in a relationship , i find the fat melting away day by day.......of the joy of women not stressing you out, lol

They are helpful for learning the basics and getting a foundation but the key to success is to stay current with research. After all, the field of exercise physiology and science is a pretty dynamic field and changes quite often.

How often are we told things and then a couple years later are debunked?

You cant get trapped into a dogmatic mindset full of absolutes. Learning to accept the fact that you may not know everything and being receptive to new things is whats going to make you successful.

Yea. When I got married I let up a bit and put on 24lbs.
I'm not bickering. I'm just saying I eat 300g of protein a day. I eat less and I get fat.

Btw I only eat chicken breast, drained boiled ground beef/chicken or since now I can digest it, whey protein. Life is not hard, it's just what I have to do to keep from getting too fat.

Well cept now that the wife is getting mad that my face is lean. And well hers is not... Even though she is 5'5" and like 120lbs... So it's bulking for me :).

i know man, its why im chuckling..........i still dont know what my body can do just yet. living in poor conditions and not having the optimal food can effect stuff, its why some bodybuilders BLOW UP when they get sponsored and can afford to eat right and enough of the good foods. **** if i could spend 20 bucks a day on food like i did when i was working, id be a monster, but i cant right now, no job, no ability to get what i need. so as a result i supplement lots of low intensity cardio to keep off the fat. **** last night i ate mac n cheese with all beef franks with milk..........lmao! so what i do the first thing in the am is slam the coffee to get me going, hit the pavement and try to keep off those bad pounds..........

and i think they are just young guys trying to show they belong to be honest, no harm in that, you were young once, and i was a young ******* one time as well..........they just dont see it that way cuz they are nieve to the world(again assuming they are young). once they get out in the real world and see its not all about looking good for sorority chicks and getting wasted on the weekends, they get things in perspective. i went through that phase, im sure u did as well.

as for the carb cycling, i do a lil of that, but more so cal cycling. one day ill have 7 small meals, the next 3 medium and not be hungry. then the next ill eat 4-5 big meals and look awesome, lol! the one catalyst for my endo/meso ass is cardio for atleast 30 minutes at a slow pace. just keeps the metabolism out of the cellar and allows me to eat the things i do, for example sweets here and there.

Yea the $70 in customs taxes was crap. I guess I passed some limit. Usually I don't get taxed. Must have ordered too much at once.

NSCA's certs are garbage. Most certs are garbage and should be viewed merely as a foot in the door. Here's the problem with these things: they're run by dudes that spend time in a lab and not in a gym. Look at the top guys that run these organizations. I wouldn't go to them to get bigger, faster, and stronger.

fair enough..........just remember its not all about what you know, its how you use that knowledge as well. i have come across a lot of smart dudes in message boards to later find out they are just desk jockeys.....i try not to get too bent over stupid **** online. most of the guys on these boards just want to feel included because they will never be in shape or as muscular as you or I. most of the time people say they are better to cover the fact that they are insecure about their current physique, overcompensating for what they dont have.......again this is about 90% of the guys on these boards.

when guys see me at the gym, they copy every exercise that I do, then later talk bad about me behind my back because they dont have my dedication. that could be the case with the guys you run across dude. maybe they are really out of shape and want to be like you/us? so its alright to agree to disagree sometimes. not sure if you went to college, but i see it in every kines class I take. there is always a newly certified trainer who works at 24 hour fitness or LA fitness or whatever gym, and wants to tell everyone what he knows......is it annoying? hell yeah! lol! but i just let them have their 15 seconds of fame and its back to minimum wage when they leave class.....

it is what it is man...........
