Not true at all. Doctors never recommend taking supplements. They are drug pushers.
So for example: you would also say that taking pro heart health supps doesn't help prevent cardio vascular disease? They only help repair a heart after it's received damage? I don't buy into this logic...and there are a lot of studies that show supplementation helps prevent damage and disease... protective supps....
Anything that helps the liver do it's job in a more efficient way (ie: improving methylation, increasing glutathione - an essential anti-oxidant which is very pro-liver, etc, etc) these things all take the burden off your liver. Waiting until it's broken to fix it VS prevention... sounds like a bad idea to me.
Do you also only take liver supps during PCT when your liver has just been fried from orals? Sorry, it's just not logical.
I had to be taken off accutane in the past because of jacked enzyme levels. My goals with the supps are to prevent damage and keep the #'s down in a safe range. I like to prevent damage. Whoever said liver damage is reversable sure has a lot of blind faith. That's a wreckless way to think. An ounce of prevention goes a long way.
